Guys - I’m such a fan of Expanse and this podcast: Just had to come on and say that these Aliens episodes are outstanding. SO fun! Great work!

The Expanse is my favorite Sci-Fi series of all time, though the upcoming Ahsoka series might be a close number 2 if they tell the story I think they will tell... and Wes was recently announced to be starring in that, so... awesome. Great to hear the background and themes of Expanse episodes. I've listened to the entire series on Audiobook including Memory's Legion, where it was great to hear Ty give a little blurb at the end of each Novella to add further depth. I also like the movie and TV show reviews. I'm glad both hosts have a great sense of humor! Also, just wanted to mention that Temple of Doom was not supposed to be a sequel to Raiders - it was a prequel. Great review, though! But, I want to know what the influence of "The Mote in God's Eye" was. Both of you mention Mormons and both cite the Nauvoo. Did you read the motie trilogy and was that something that influenced you?

First started listening to the expanse recaps since it is one of my fav shows of all time. As it has gone on I’ve enjoyed their discussions of other movies and shows more and more. Great guests are always coming around too.

Happy to be the 9th listener ! If you’re a first time Expanse viewer like me, beware of spoilers but it’s still worth it for the amazing insights and explanations. My fault for being late to party on an incredible tv show For this pod…on episode s1 e7 and just heard Amos give Holden the speech about “how much Justice you think you’re gonna get in a (Martian) prison cell?!” while loading to bare (love how Amos no-sells literally everything from Holden). I remembered seeing Wes was on a show before I actually watched Expanse. So…immediately came back to check this show out and subscribe. His acting comes off as so natural that I already know I’ll enjoy his show. Update: I did! Up to s2 e8 and cruising…my only critique…I wish they’d have finished Expanse recaps before getting into top 5 movie discussions. I feel like there’s still a lotta meat on the bone left unsaid. Their show though, take what I get.

Station 11 is better than the expanse.

After watching the Expanse series and reading the books it’s very cool to hear them talk about the individual themes and episodes and other things around The Expanse and other topics as well. Very entertaining!

I recently found this podcast, and I love it! I’m a fan of The Expanse books and TV show. It’s great to hear these guys break down the episodes. But it’s even more fun to hear them talk about about their favorite movies. It’s like conversations with your best nerd friends! I look forward to every episode.

I loved the 2 episodes about Indiana Jones. Crazy how this movie has held up so well over 40 years. Definitely something magical about it and I loved the discussion you guys had.

Such a fun time. The friendship chemistry (and let’s be honest, homoeroticism) between Wes and Ty keeps me coming back every week. I’ve also enjoyed learning more about their film favorites, and have watched a couple good movies thanks to their weekly lists. I was worried the end of the show would spell the end of the podcast, but thankfully that hasn’t happened yet!

I’m a big fan of the expanse, and this show definitely includes expanse content, but I also really appreciate the film making and film industry insights. Good chemistry between Wes and Ty, good sense of humor. I’m not in the “grumpy” crowd.

It’s very interesting to hear the perspective of writers and actors on the creative process and mechanics of their professions which have no experience with. I was so used to Drummer’s Belter patois that Cara Gee’s actual voice was a surprise. Guys: You have to learn how to pronounce Shohreh Aghdashloo’s first name. Emphasis on the first syllable, pronounce the first “h”.

Season 6 ep 5 OMG!! So great! Cara Gees performance in this episode moved me to absolute tears! So moving and wrought with emotion and conflict! Really makes me sad that it’s the second to last episode and I can’t believe it.... Need more episodes!!

I found this because of the connection to the Expanse, but discovered it to be so much more. The Expanse talk and stories are fantastic — you could make a great book from all the stories. But Wes and Ty talk about every manner of topic and the amount of fascinating and funny per minute is off the charts. Such great listening!

Amazing pod as always, but I think we missed the quintessential time travel movie, Die Hard. There’s no plot unless John McClane travels 3 hours back in time to fly from NY to LA.

With a quickness I became a fan of the expanse. It’s creator and one of the stars team together for a very entertaining companion to the show in this podcast. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for these guys after the finale. Great stuff.

I started listening to this podcast because I was jonesing for The Expanse. But Wes and Ty have been breaking down some of the best films from the 70s 80s and 90s. I’m just finished listening to the 5th podcast, but am taking a break to watch Escape from New York and Running Man. You guys are awesome!

I love The Expanse and how women are portrayed in the series. I would like to hear some more discussion on the women in the series. I hope that’s to come as they move through each episode of this otherworldly series!! I enjoy these episodes. It is cool to get some behind the scenes details about this awesome show, but more than that it is just like a good time to hang out and chat with some friends. Came for the Expanse, but it’s also been so fun to listen to these pop-culture and sci-fi enthusiasts discussing their favorite works of art. I’ve been a huge fan of the Expanse books and TV show from nearly the beginning of both, and it’s been great to hear more about how these works were created along with the little Easter eggs and references. Couldn’t be happier to find this new podcast. It’s my new favorite!

Was hoping this would be more about The Expanse and less about these guys talking about whatever amuses themselves. They were okay as hosts for the post-show season 5 stuff but having the other cast members on and talking about the episodes is what made the after-show worthwhile. This podcast though feels like I am watching a writer and an actor being adolescent boys. It gets old pretty quick. With all the name dropping, bragging and inside jokes, they come across as both in dire need of approval and full of themselves - typical Hollywood. I’m unsubscribing. Would rather have a drink with someone I actually care about and hear their stories instead. Pro-tip: Be the host or be the guest... trying to be both makes it all about you...
