HhijujjinaghauInteresting & InformativeThere’s not been an episode that I haven’t learned something new that’s piqued my interest into further research. The content is always relatable and most time, easily applied in a classroom or school setting. Thank you so much for making research available to those doing the daily work!

Not A SuperheroBack to schoolAs a mother of a young child and a non-traditional student going back to school for a second career, I love this podcast. It has helped me as a mother and as a student myself.

MizzDBanksImpressed ParentI love this podcast!!! As a parent of young children, I am so glad I found the LS site and podcast. Now I know the importance of teaching children how to learn and best retain information. It's also made me change my approach to teaching them at home (e.g., teaching a little bit of phonics every day instead of in a large block on the weekend; asking them spaced, verbal "quiz" questions a day, 5 days, even two weeks after say reading a book on polar bears (my kids are 2 and 5)). I'd love to hear more content on how parents can help their kids learn after school employing these techniques. I'm also an attorney. I find these tips helpful when I need to learn a new law that I have to advise on. I'd love to hear more about using these techniques in a professional context.

Antprov222Complex ideas in a highly digestible presentationIf there were a mantra I carry with me about learning, and always will, it will be “retrieval enhances learning”. It’s something that was always innate within my study practices, but I never thought about *why* it was effective. And being conscience of doing it makes it that much more effective! Being aware of ones cognitive process helps anyone learn more efficiently. The tools and examples presented on these podcasts help with that awareness for teaching and learning!

Amy S- 6th grade teacherFabulous for TeachersI learned about the Learning Scientists through Cult of Pedagogy and I absolutely fell in love with it. The learning strategies they discuss make so much sense. They ring true as a teacher. As I learn more about the strategies, it helps me sift through the less effective practices and activities out there and pick things that will actually help kids learn. It has helped to justify some of my practices such as putting old curriculum as one station in math rotations or having kids do retrieval on whiteboards as a warm up activity. I love listening to stuff like this, and I think any educator could benefit from hearing these ideas if only to strengthen their understanding of what they already know to be true.
