ZozokittenAre meditations subscription only?I enjoy this podcast and find Dan to be candid and a great interviewer and the meditations are excellent. It looks like nearly all of the meditations only can be accessed with a Wondery+ subscription which is disappointing. This seems like a moment in time to make at least some of the meditations available free of charge.

Smf787Bill Weir is a boreBilll likes to hear himself talk. Poor Dan had to sit through this episode. I don’t know why he made it so long he should’ve cut him off.
-
Living Loving BeingGreat episodeSuper episode with Ian Robertson! Highly recommend.

TriteIntegrityRe: Ep. 905 w Poor ListenerJillianDan, please push your guests harder -- immediately lost interest and respect when Jillian failed to actively listen to and appropriately answer your Q: “did you take a break before writing to have a relationship with yourself?”…she responds by discussing external relationships 🤦♀️ neither mindful nor taking “the beat” to which you allude.

robynsaysLoved the Sonya Renee Taylor epSonya Renee Taylor’s episode was superb. It’s a definite *download and listen on repeat*. Her message is critical for the work we need to do right now to be in loving presence with ourselves, first, so we’re able to build and support community.

hemingway79Great podcastDan is one of the best interviewers I’ve heard, combining his own authenticity and curiosity with his constant desire to improve. Such great convos, they have all helped me widen my heart and mind. With you for the long haul, Dan!

runsindirtContemporary ancient wisdomDan Harris and his team are making great shows that fold science and story telling with the best teachers around the world. Also appreciate a host who drops the occasional expletive, and is a vulnerable, anxious, real human being.

Sarah MeadA True GemDan Harris has saved my sanity, for years now. I sometimes stray away but I always come back when I need direction. He is relateable and his guests are so insightful (as is he, and his questions / communication style). Without a doubt, I share episodes of this podcast with my friends more than any other podcast I listen to. So grateful to have this podcast in my toolbox. 🙏🏻🙌🏻

Smac223Love the contentI just find the content on this show, for me at least, to be genuine, new, fresh, intelligent, thought provoking and real. On top of that it just resonates with me. I really appreciate this podcast.

Haley bird ithacaRevisiting meditationThank you so much for bringing on all the topics you do and the authenticity and candor. I was lucky enough to stumble into a mediation teacher at the age of 15 in high school and continued the practice on through my collage years. I had always had guilt surrounding the fact that I let my practices slide as I grew in life. This pod cast has re inspired my interest in philosophy, sociology, self reflection and meditation. It has been wonderful to re kindle these interests with my almost 50 years and parenthood under my belt! Much more forgiving and expansive. I appreciate the words you are sharing and the guests you have on the show.

Dawson 2Grateful for what you’ve createdDan and team, wanted to let you know how much you’ve impacted my life. The wisdom you and your guests share is food for my soul. It’s helps me “wake up - over and over and over” (as I’ve heard you say Dan). Thank you for persevering through the recent changes you had to go through. I know it wasn’t easy. You should know how much you’ve helped my (and other’s) life. So much love, Seema

DesireeBVElection episode - early drop for WonderyDan this is the first time an episode of your show gave me anxiety instead of reducing it!! It sounds like you’re prepping us for bad news on election night. Is it possible to get hit by the second arrow before the first because I think that’s what happened to me today! 😂 Mostly kidding though, I absolutely love your show.

Aadit KamatDan Harris is a wonderful hostI began my spiritual journey during the COVID pandemic in 2020. I’ve listened to many inspiring podcasts about spirituality in the US, hosted by Rick Hanson and Scott Snibbe, and in India, by the likes of Ranveer Allahabadia. Each of these podcasts has been unique and awe-inspiring in its own way. Dan Harris hosts this podcast with empathy and understanding, allowing the speakers to share their insights into spirituality without feeling pressured or probed into expressing specific emotions. This makes the conversations very approachable. Thanks for this podcast, Dan!

AMC4YDThis put me on the path to meditation.7 years ago Dan Harris showed me the way with his book. I’m so glad he has kept it up.

siobhanmairi5 minutes of adsWhile I mostly enjoy the content I was put off by 5 minutes you have to push through to get to get content. And it’s the same recorded cookie cutter ad. Unfollowed.
-
BnkippTop notchDan is an expert interview and brings thoughtful questions that allow the guest to clarify, dig deeper and keep the idea moving. Not mention the guest line up is comprised of some of the most incredible people. Amazing!
-
CheftommyvThanks DanThanks Dan for being, vulnerable, honest, unafraid to confront the difficult, teaching me the importance of meditation and the art of beginning again. It is in no way an exaggeration that you have helped me be a better husband, brother, son, friend and hopefully contributing human being. Life is a struggle, lets do it together. Peace.

annabelle1919Truly, never wastes your time, always get a nugget or moreThis is consistently one of the best podcasts for interesting, thought-provoking discussions that always leave me with at least one nugget to take away and use in real life. This podcast is in itself “loving kindness” as it gets you to explore yourself in a gentle non-judgmental way. I can’t possibly recommend it enough. A treasure.

TommywagashiAlways a joyThank you

AndJusticeForAnimalsGreat podcast, but app needs a better variety.I came here to write a review of the app, that I paid for after listening to several episodes of this podcast because I wanted a place to go to for meditations. They have fantastic meditations, and I really enjoy the app, but there are categories that they are just missing. So for example, they should have a couple of meditations for pet loss, they should also have some meditations on people struggling with addiction. those feel like major categories that are just missing from the app so I may not renew it unless they add a better variety. You would think they would even have a couple of meditations to help people through this crazy election cycle but nothing. Come on Dan! I know this app is successful for you, so how about some updating! Also, there’s nowhere to leave feedback on the actual app, at least not that I can see.

Darcy MoodyAn Absolute FavoriteThis podcast is part of every week for us. We look forward to each episode and often go back and replay past episodes. The guests and host are amazing and relevant and have truly impacted our lives. Thank you!

lbeans2788One of my top 10 podcastsI’d say maybe I am 10% happier now that I’ve listen to every episode! Intriguing episodes with great interviews of people I would consider fascinating.
-
bigsexyboogieGreat Interviews w RuPaul and Jada Pinkett SmithThank you for the wide array of topics and interviewees!

PegsCats10% Happier GriefLove this podcast. I’m a grieving mother and was crying so much and suicidal that I was nearly sent to a psychiatric hospital. Now I’m on an antidepressant and never cry. Both are disturbing. I appreciate the honesty and the way topics are discussed. I like Dan’s interview style and frequent review of the material and important points. Thanks!

PeanCarrotNot interested in entertainersPlease stick to subject matter that’s most interesting. Your show stands out for a reason, stay true to you. No celebrities or entertainers, please.
-
lifeisgood001Fewer entertainer/ celebs pleaseI enjoy your show so much but much prefer when you stick with Buddhist teachers, thinkers and those with a science or medical background.
-
LeeLee Laureealways taking notesthe ru paul interview this week made me laugh and cry and take notes and save the episode to listen to again.
-
pattyvoAlways a good take awayDan’s interviews are helpful. His questions help me identify the most important points. And when he says, “Let me see if I have this straight/right” and then he recaps what was said, that’s usually when I capture the best “take away”.
-
girlfromkansasRuPaulI’ve been listening for awhile now and enjoying but I have to say the RuPaul episode is the most beautiful and impactful for me personally so far. It’s refreshingly honest. I think you could benefit from being more willing to be cancelled, we can’t let cancel culture have us in so much fear that we don’t have fun anymore. Life is more beautiful when you let loose without wondering in the back of your mind if your action will offend someone else. You’re effectively living for other people and not yourself when that’s your focus.

SueC*Making mindfulness simple and life advice practicalThough I am an intermittent listener of the "10% Happier" podcast, I find the content consistently insightful and accessible. Dan Harris blends his personal journey with actionable interviews, making mindfulness and meditation relatable through various topics and guests. The podcast effectively combines ancient wisdom with modern science, offering practical advice on other self-improvement topics as well. A recent interview with Christina Wallace, for example, introduced me to a method of career analysis that completely transformed my understanding of persistent professional stressors (despite my best efforts to apply mindfulness meditation practices). Dan's humility and curiosity make complex topics easy to grasp and apply in everyday life, which I truly appreciate. He's adept at recognizing when scientific language or abstract concepts might be challenging for listeners to understand and readily seeks summaries from his show guests in simple terms. I'm looking forward to future episodes!

JJ_LemieuxBecame so boringLike insanely boring

Puzgirl23Sometimes less is betterI really like this podcast but sometimes I have to laugh. When Dan interviews some guest, it’s funny to me how they make a concept seem so much more complicated than it actually is. I like the way Dan asks if he can summarize, then he explains it in basic terms. Even if you’re intelligent it’s just more pleasant to listen to less intellectual verbiage.

Trauma survivor 1982More Bianca!Loved her interview in episode 776!
-
ToraTora1955Excellent podcast! This podcast is one of the best with regards to meditation and wellbeing. Dan is an excellent interviewer and his choice of guests is really great. I benefit every time I listen and usually listen to each conversation at least twice. Thank you Dan!
-
StonesbookerPeter LevineI just wanted to get this down before I moved on. I just finished listening to the episode with Peter Levine and I would have to say this has been my favorite episode from you Dan because of several reasons. One it was the most heartfelt and honest interview that I feel like I have listened to from one of your guests. Not to say, they are all honest in their own ways, but this one felt very vulnerable. Secondly, the amount of wisdom that I feel like I left with is very encouraging because it seemed that was the message by the end of the show. To take your own life and figure out what that story is to take the path no matter the uncomfortable feeling that our hearts and our minds and our bodies but to live with that and heal. Absolutely thankful that this interview exists and thankyou to both of you for sharing this.
-
Diana B ChicagoWant to love this showThere’s a lot of good here. But why do recent high-performing guests give me MORE anxiety? “how to perform better at meditating” 🤣
-
mf girl in parisDua Lipa, really?Loved this podcast until Dua Lipa?? But Dan Harris… shes trash? Let’s get back to people who aren’t part of mainstream pop media garbage that infects our minds.
-
PgallaghersdWonderful ProgramDan Harris and his team are doing great work. Opening the doors to the world of meditation from a more journalistic approach gives listeners an opportunity to hear for themselves the value of meditation from both the practitioner’s view but also the science and data that supports their understandings. Bring your float robe and sound bath or just bring yourself and an open mind, lots to learn here.

Free Will_KBInterview Robert SapolskyI am a fan b/c I think Dan is an incredibly skilled interviewer. I am often impressed and much to the chagrin of my family, often raving about how most interviewers could take some lessons from him. The subject matter or interviewee matters less to me, although I have my favorites. I think a fascinating interview would be with Robert Sapolski- I am reading his new book, DETERMINED, on free will. It is an amazingly light hearted but deeply researched combination of philosophy, psychology, and biology and how it combines to make us human. I am completely unaffiliated with Dr. Sapolski. But he sounds hilarious. Separate note- I read your first book way back when it first came out. And some 10 years later finally convinced my husband to read it too. He’s on page 35…we will see if he finishes, but has made it further than I imagined:) Regards, Karla Bailey

No real FunctionaltySebene is scaring meI’m leaving five stars because that’s what TPH deserves for so many great episodes and guests, it’s been invaluable. However it took a sharp wrong turn for me today when I listened to the Trust Life episode which came across as anti-science. Astrology? Two guests advocating for Astrology and Dan offering to withhold disbelief? I was really surprised to see the topic pushed this much. It was too much, and I would ask, my gratitude for the show as a whole not withstanding that This type of content be reconsidered as off-topic for TPH. that’s the nicest way I can think to put it, but I was really taken aback. In case anyone’s wondering, I did listen to the episode with Joseph talking about supernatural aspects of Buddhism. This episode did things right. It wasn’t dismissive of science, it kept a grounded perspective, and overall, I got a lot out of it. That approach worked, this one didn’t. Sabene says one of the reasons to adopt mysticism and magic is because it’s “fun”? No, not for me, I’m sorry. I’m here with an open mind, but I’m not here to base my spirituality on having fun nor on horoscopes.
