I have been praying for God to send me siblings in the faith in the same ministry so i can be influenced by like-minded faithful folks in the business and help give me ammo to carry out my Christ-centered business into the world without being saturated by it. I’ve been walking with the Lord for 6 years, re-opened my business in Oct 2020 and do not want to do it without Jesus. I really appreciate Darren's perspective on marketing as Christians. I am a missionary with a goal to be the aroma of Christ everywhere I go... but I'm also a blogger and online entrepreneur. In both these realms I've had to learn to see "marketing" as "influence" instead of the unsavory word I used to think it was. If we are going to effectively reach our culture and communities for Christ, we need to understand this thing called marketing. I love how Darren's podcasts challenge me!

I listen to a lot of business podcasts, and have specifically been looking for good podcasts that relate my business to theology. I have listened to almost all of the episodes of this podcast, and I am thankful to have found it. Darren Shearer is an excellent host who directs the conversation in helpful ways. His guests represent a broad spectrum of perspectives and experience. I will definitely be sharing this podcast with other Christian entrepreneurs.

I'm new to the podcasting world. But once I found one that I liked, I dove in. Now, I listen to 5-10 podcasts per week. It's such an amazing FREE resource to grow and find mentors. When I face the daily choice of what to play, I will probably go entrepreneur stuff first like SPI. Then, I'll dig into my favorite Dad podcast (GDP), and my favorite health & lifestyle (TMHS). Sometimes I get so growth conscious that I forget to actually go to the Good Book. So, I'll correct and consume a few hours of preaching or audio bible. Here's the point - Darren's podcast brings me back to center when I need to realize my role as a christian in the marketplace and what that should look like.

Contemporary business tends to be perceived as caustic yet Shearer demonstrates the Christlike attributes of capitalism and free commerce found in the ways and words of Jesus. Darren is "my son in whom I am well pleased"! I guess there are some parents who can't say that about their children. No so with me. What Darren has said and how he said it on this podcast is absolutely true and accurate. I've been a pastor for more than 30 years and am now a representative with a major sports ministry in America. Darren helps us all to be more effective in targeting those in the marketplace of commerce and ideas who need to hear what we have to say and who need to purchase what we have to sell. And he has a terrific way of bringing to light the heart and mind of the Greatest Marketeer who ever lived. Everyone who either reads the book "Marketing Like Jesus" or who listens to these podcasts associated with "Theology of Business" will benefit greatly from the effort. Deuteronomy 8:18 says that "We should not forget the Lord. For it is He who gives us the ability to produce wealth so that His Covenant can be established." Darren knows how to make that connection between Wealth and Covenant. You will bless others by sharing what Darren and His Lord have to say on this topic.
