    Informative and enjoyable podcast
I’ve been listening to The Daily Rios for many years and it remains at the top of my listening feed. Fun facts, history and coverage of comics, TV, movies, and the geek culture we all love. The host Peter is one of the most insightful podcasts I’ve ever heard. You definitely need to check it out!

    Great to hear the latest!!!
Excellent to hear you in DC OCD recently, it’s also one of my favorites. Informative and entertaining, one of the best around. Hoping for more Tower episodes hopefully soon too. Mike Z

A little can be too much
What is the word I would use? Narcissistic might be too strong of a word but accurate, self-indulgent? Definitely. I don't think he realizes that People don't generally hang on to every tweet or tumbl or whatever that he does. That said this guy has gold when he is partnered up with someone else.

    the daily? rios
This show was interesting when it was coming out regularily. Come on Peter, you have to realize that there is a portion of your audience that doesn't care to look up your tumbler or Twitter comments in between recordings. Love ya.

(Updated and edited) pretty good, no buts
(original review): Peter Rios is formerly of Comic Geek Speak, and it's good that he's podcasting again. He's his old polished, professional self on this new show, but it seems to me that the solo format hurts him a bit. Maybe it's because Mr. Rios isn't yet comfortable with a solo vs. a group show, or maybe it's because I don't care for most solo shows, who knows. But for me, the quality of the show can vary, though it's always very professional. At times it's very, very good, at others it is a bit self indulgent, something I find true with a lot of solo shows. It is always interesting, though, which you can't say for all solo shows. (update): Since I wrote my original review, Mr. Rios has hit his stride. By interspersing clips of provocative and interesting quotes and sound bites with solo commentary on all sorts of interests--comics only being one--Mr. Rios has found a way to make an outstanding solo show that can intrigue even those (like me) who normally don't care for solo podcasts. Good stuff, and one of the first shows I listen to on any given day.

    Meh
Rios only really works in small doses. And a daily podcast isn't the right venue for him.

An excellent podcast on comics, pop culture, and much more...
Known to comic book fans as a former member of comics-centric podcast "Comic Geek Speak," Rios broadens his focus with this slice-of-life daily podcast. Still interested in comics, Rios also incorporates his love of theatre, television, travel, and more to offer a "verite" style that allows listeners not just commentary and opinion, but also a pulling-back-the-curtain into the life of a Pennsylvania native making his mark in the world. Fun, interesting, and often funny, Rios has an easy-going style combined with a knack for deep and critical analysis that continually makes the podcast a must-listen.

    What a podcast can be
I love this show & Peter, because anything goes, there is no format. One day I'm listening to an original song & another inspirational speeches. The Daily Rios explores the medium of podcasting in a new & exciting way as a solo cast.Plus we still get new comic Wednesdays, by a person who loves comics, good or bad. Here, Podcasting = Art.

    A much needed daily dose.

    Veteran podcaster does good
Having just finished listening to the prior week's worth of "The Daily Rios", I am happy to say that I really enjoyed it. Peter, as others have mentioned, was a big part of the Comic Geek Speak podcast and a big part of its success. He brings some polish and confidence to what could easily be a total train wreck - a podcast of one guy talking about comic books. Peter (at least in the week of Sep. 21-28) is prepared, well spoken, and thoughtful. In addition, the length of the episodes is manageable. I can't say how much I appreciate this in a time of one and a half to two hour podcasts! Thanks Peter! Good to have you back.

    Great show!
The Daily Rios is eclectic, personal, engaging, and fun. With such a variety of topics (personal & professional) and a host who is willing to poke fun at himself and who occassionally challenges his listeners, Peter Rios has created something unique that never fails to entertain and often makes you think.

    A Day In The Life
I came for the comics but stuck around for the randomness and general fun as Peter takes us on a daily walk through different media, pop culture and even a dash of theatre. And if there is a subject that may not fit your liking the episode length varies from 5 mins to an hour. So if you haven't already downloaded an ep do so now. You may just learn something new.

Listen to this show...yes every one
Peter Rios is one of the pioneers of comics podcasting. And with this effort he has incorporated strands from the rest of his daily life and personality outside of just comics. The comics parts are still my favorite, but overall very interesting, very entertaining, and highly recommended.

    The Daily Rios
Followed Peter from CGS and at first I found his new podcast to be self-indulgent. Perhaps it was the particular episode because I didn't stop listening. I wondered why I kept listening and decided he had something meaningful to say, and I liked the variety and personal stuff. I certainly missed his capable comic book reviews and analysis he delivered at CGS. His art and drama training provide him with the qualifications required for thoughtful criticism. I'm certainly entertained each episode but I sometimes learn something. While I sure would like to hear you on CGS every once in a while, I'm happy to hear you at all. Keep it up Peter. I listen because you're doing it your way.

    Boring, self-indulgent crap.

Great to hear Peter back behind the mic again!
A good podcast doesn't need a lot of expensive equipment, it just needs personality and passion, and both can be found here.

    The Daily Rios....... good stuff
It is good to hear Peter back podcasting. The shows are good and I like how the topics have varied. I used to really look forward to listening to Peter on the CGS app highlight comics that have come out that week. I am glad he has doing that again on his own podcast.
