Lil Lizifer XFunThis is a fun show. I really enjoyed the update about the meme kids.
-
sam_rebelLoftus at her bestFunny, relevant and nostalgic. Loftus is one of the smartest podcasters we have. She is also an extremely thoughtful and skilled interviewer.
-
LittleworldcunninglyLoftis NEVER DisappointsEvery podcast she touches is pure gold, and this is no exception. Fun, informative, and thoughtful—as per usual. Thank you, Jamie!
-
ktd____________Jamie Loftus at her bestI’ve casually listened to & enjoyed a fair amount of Jamie’s other podcast work, including her limited series on Cathy and Atari, as well as her features on episodes of other podcasts. But this interesting, unique and empathetic podcast may be Jamie Loftus at her very best. Thank you for all the work you do!

ALGCALIThis is how I force myself to go to the gymI hate the treadmill, but I hate it less when I’m listening to Sixteenth Minute!

NoU2025Like the show but my god, so many adsI like the content but the content to ad ratio in the show is almost an even split for runtime. It’s too much. You instantly must fast forward through 4-5 minutes of ads, then you get to listen to about a 2 minute intro segment, into another 4-5 minutes of ads. Then the episode will at least two more 4-5 minute ad segments in a 45 minute total runtime for the audio file for the episode. An ad free version of an episode probably barely clears 20 minutes, lol I get that this is an ad supported show but geez, I’m begging to have the ads scaled back. It’s like if YouTube could autoplay ads at the end of a video you watched ad infinitum until you interacted with the video player to skip ads

TimothyArchibaldEverything I Ever WantedI love this podcast. Jamie is a true investigative journalist of our internet era, breaking down things that live in our brain but we never really put the time into shining a light on. She is charismatic and relatable, sharing her fascinations with us in each and every episode.

Mr. ScottathanJamie is greatI am personally biased as being from New England myself, I love seeing new englanders getting recognition and having success. Not only does this show have a high production value, but Jamie does great work in general!
-
Xanderxz1991wxyz10Really nuanced and hilariousA very funny way to look at some very niche figures and overlooked subcultures
-
SuzluvGreat conceptHorrible execution.

-1-2-3-4------Best podcastThis is the best podcast, all the other podcasts can stop now because we have fond the best one and it is this one.

dusty oldbonesAnnoying noisesGood topics, interesting show, but have to turn it off sometimes because some if the repetitive noises really trigger my misophonia. Lots of random loud air horns and the intro song is really blown-out
-
Brady the App Guywhy so many silly noises :(Love this show and everything Jamie does. The weirdly loud mouse click noises between EVERY new thought make me want to run into traffic though. the mouse clicks, the fart noises, the airhorn noises are so disruptive and grating. Have to consider if my misophonia is stronger than my love for this show
-
paigespaigeenjoying sixteenth minutehey i decided to review after listening for a few weeks to say that i think your coverage of these internet stars has been really well-rounded, and you don’t lose sight of your empathy for these characters.
-
tornpolyesterPlease get rid of the airhornThe show is good and I enjoy the content but the constant airhorn makes it hard to listen to.
-
Fresk26wasalreadytakenWorth your timeJamie Loftus could take a speck of dust, research it, and configure it as something hilarious, endearing and revealing of our larger world. And in this podcast, she has every online viral sensation at her disposal. So yes, this is very good.
-
KneumsiCan’t be legitimately clever? USE AN AIR HORN! And now FART SOUNDS?The show is well-researched and fun but the host seems to think she’s being clever by (more than) occasionally blasting an air horn effect as if it’s a laugh track. It was rather funny once. Since then it has become incredibly annoying, especially as it’s happening almost constantly now, and detracts from the intelligence of the show she’s trying to deliver. Sadly, it’s getting worse as the idiotic air horn has been supplemented by frequent fart sounds. Why? Is this show for ten year olds? A once interesting show is getting increasingly worse.

aliacWerd5 starsThanks for holding my hand through internet culture. -person who lives under a rock
-
Alex the VagabondLove the show, hate the airhornShow is really well written and researched but the airhorn bit is so disruptive and irritating. I might be more of a regular listener if I didn't have to brace myself for that thing.
-
Josier2Don’t autotune loftusGreat stuff as always but this podcast weirdly doesn’t sound like Jamie Loftus to me and I miss that!
-
BayouradioAlways InterestingShe does her research and always finds a new angle on stories you may think you’ve heard all there is to hear. The air horn, however, remains one of humanity’s worst inventions and is all evidence anyone needs that we’re terrible animals.
-
DetritusboyNice workEven when the episode topic doesn’t initially catch my interest, I end up enjoying how Jamie looks at a seemingly straightforward story from another perspective and humanizes the subjects of viral internet memes.
-
Rob ValeCute & Funny!Another hit from Cool Xone Nedia that needs a boost….she is really on her game doing Behind the Badtards with Rob Evans and Sophie tge producer chiming in( not nearly enough. Subscribe now!

carolpfaheybig love for 16th minuteJamie makes the best podcasts! This one is wonderful.
-
i_wanna_hold_your_glansCame expecting jokes, left with a lot to think aboutThis show is genuinely incredible! Having experienced Jamie primarily as a guest on other shows I was used to her as a comedian, which is what originally led me to this show. However, after listening I am amazed at how thoroughly she does the reporting in this show. Not only does the show lead me to think more about the specific topics being covered in each episode, but it’s also led me to think a lot more about the Internet and how it shapes our discourse as a culture mode generally. Truly great and I hope it sticks around for a long time!
-
IluvthisappandmycatGreat pop culture and social commentary podcastI don’t know why I waited so long to pick this up. 16th minute explores viral moments in internet history but challenges the narrative we think we remember. Jamie brings insightful reflection on American culture but with enough silliness to keep things entertaining.

bbprince401MORE AIRHORNSThis podcast rules, my millennial heart is very happy
-
Hamsun T.Easily Top 5Cool Zone Media is the best thing happened to the podcast world and this is their most original podcast. I love it!
-
Jack865466457Too many adsI liked Jamie a lot after discovering her on You’re Wrong About, but the amount of ads on this show is ridiculous. I listened to a couple episodes and had to stop because it was just obnoxious.
-
HollyAnneAVery entertaining but too politicalI think the concept of this show and the host are both super interesting. Jamie is clever and playful and delightful to listen to. However, I was extremely disappointed in the lefty political slant everything seemed to take. I’m a centrist moderate who likes pop culture and silly internet nonsense, but why does it always have to have an identity-politics angle? I skipped the second episode and made it part way through the fourth before it was too distracting for me. I wish Jamie the best, but I am still in search of pop culture podcasts that talk about silly things without regular privilege throat-clearing and obligatory comments making sure the audience knows the political beliefs of the host.

mat83749274729Man-o-sphereJust incredible work. I feel like I escaped the proto-manosphere myself and find a lot of my own personal feelings and history explained here. Jamie rules.
-
MeleetymePlease stop the airhornsThey are silly, ill-placed and distracting from what is otherwise a really stellar show.
-
M3atcatAnother Loftus successI’ve caught every project I can this host has produced and I’m never disappointed. From ghost church to her ongoing work on the Bechtel Cast, she’s a great storyteller. Jamie does an impeccable job of weaving information into a narrative with comedy and empathy for the subject matter. Highly recommend.
-
OkMom2011Very well researchedLove the show!!
-
WaahjktJust a perfect showThe thing is that absolutely everything Jamie does is a 10/10 in my book and this is no different. Could not recommend this more.
-
LadyJesusNot to be dramatic, but Jamie is the coolest100% worth a listen! Especially the trad wives and Ken Bone episodes.
-
Blank_102Annoying host.Listened to one episode. The guest was interesting but the host was SO annoying that I had to stop to write this review
-
CordeliaReaganJamie is a geniusThe only podcast I’m willing to listen to despite the truly insane amount of advertisements. But I’m willing to do whatever it takes to hear Jamie’s incredible analysis, obsessed isn’t even the word

I have no nickname !!What I’ve Been MissingEver since Reply All has shut down, search engine has been a good filler, but it hasn’t been enough. 16th minute truly scratches the itch of breaking down the way we all work on the internet. Done with lots of kindness and well informed interviews. 10/10.

MasTer oF PupPetZJamie Loftus is the podcast GOAT!I have listened to every podcast Jamie has put out. They have all been well-produced, entertaining and informative. 16th Minute is no different but it highlights her strengths in all the best ways. She is an excellent interviewer and provides so much useful context for the topics. I adore this show. It's also fun realizing how many of these internet MCs I never knew anything about (I am not terminally online apparently). Another triumph for Jamie, the podcast GOAT, and I look forward to this show every week!
-
OrdWasRightExcellent idea, executed oddlyI love the idea of tracking down only viral stories and the people behind them, and talking about what that says about how people interact online. My gripe is that it’s edited as though it’s something I would hear on the radio, where it’s meant to catch you up to speed after every ad break so it makes sense whenever you start listening. Bizarre choice for a podcast that a person listens to start to finish, so there’s a lot of circling back and circling back and circling back while she’s going through the background info on that week’s story. There’s also the occasional odd mixing choice, where Jamie is incredibly quiet and the ads are a normal volume. And also the normal way too many ads on czm podcasts, but I’m used to that by now.
-
PatedechouxMixed low!I love the show, but her audio needs to be turned up!

AnarchoPotatoLove the show overall the sound design can be distractingI love the podcast. It’s an excellent concept and full of great content. My only mild complaint is that the sound design can be a little distracting on some episodes. I’m usually not one to hate on Jamie’s air horn but the specific sample used in this show definitely isn’t my favorite. I’d love to see the background sound design to either be a little quieter or simpler. However, the podcast is still excellent and my gripe with the sound might be more of a me problem that others feel differently about.

hpeters96A new favorite BUT too many ads ://I just learned about this podcast after Jamie went on scam goddess, one of my absolute favorite podcasts. I gave 16th minute a listen and really love her topics and deep dives. The Mormon influencer one was super fascinating but I love them all so far. The ONLY downside is that there are WAY too many ads :( I have to skip like 5 minutes worth of ads for each commercial break and there’s like three ad sections per episode. It’s really annoying and truly the only negative part of this amazing show
-
DrnonathonAlways an interesting topicLove the show Jamie! It’s funny, it’s insightful, at times personal(can I get an O Canada?!), and never too serious. Thanks!
