    A thousand stars
I don’t think I’ve ever laughed out loud so much. This podcast is perfection: the actors, writing, editing, sound, music—the entire production is incredible. Highly recommend. Bravo to the creators, cast, and crew!

I LOVE this show!!! It’s just such a celebration of queer joy and nerdy art, and it truly means the world to me. I cannot waitttt for the rest of season two!

    Absolutely amazing!
Fawx and Stallion never fails to make me laugh! I absolutely love all the characters and their eccentricities as well as the casual queerness of the world. Season 2 so far is even better!

    my favorite holmes adaptation
this show seriously rules, it's such a good balance of humor and heart and understands the character and universe of sherlock holmes better than almost any other adaptation I have ever come across. nothing but love for the cast and creatives <3

    Fantastic audio drama, highly recommend!
I love this show so much. It’s hilarious, heartwarming, well-written, well-acted, and just a pleasure to listen to. If you loved Wooden Overcoats, definitely give this show a shot. Actually, everyone should just give this show a shot. Thank you Fawx & Stallion team!

    Fantastic!!
A wild ride down a familiar road…with modern/ hysterical twists and a new take on characters who inhabit an irreverent Sherlockian world. Smart, witty, incredibly well written and produced. At times I was so genuinely surprised, I surprised myself. Just when you think you’ve got a handle on this oddball crew, they strike again. So creative and fun…I will have to listen again. In love!

Meet Fawx & Stallion, the detectives the floor below 221B Baker Street
SUMMARY: You may know Sherlock Holmes, but do you know his neighbors, the would-be detective team Fawx & Stallion, actually a trio? They are available for a mystery, any mystery at all, as Holmes & Watson leaves no crumbs. Luckily, the famous duo are on holiday, and it’s Fawx & Stallion’s time to shine. And fortunately, their first case involving missing jewels and a convicted, innocent women about to be hung, is knocking on the door. SETTING: Victorian London, but without the oppression for queer love, basically. POSITIVES: I enjoyed this madcap comedy and mystery for its neurotic and waggish characters, who still also had depth which develops towards the end of the drama, particularly. The mystery also has its twists and turns, and the plot isn’t forgotten for its jokes, but builds with foreshadowing, and pieces of info that become important episodes later. NEGATIVES: While the important parts of the story resolved to a satisfying degree, such as the character conflicts and the main mystery, the getaway involved deus ex machina which just did not make sense. Also a particular technology one character uses to bring justice to a villain really doesn’t make sense either. Fairly forgivable missteps in light of an ending that pulled together for the most part, and was a funny riff on a poorly scheduled villain monologue. OVERALL: A cleverly and thoughtfully written comedy that deals with topics like living underneath a large Sherlock-shaped shadow effectively. SIMILAR PODCASTS: Victoriocity, Wooden Overcoats.

Welcome to your new favorite podcast
If you’re a fan of Sherlock Holmes and the humor of “Clue”, you’re gonna love this podcast. All the characters are well-acted and fully formed, whether they be the title characters or ones we meet along the way. Madge Stallion has quickly rose to a special place in my heart, and I can’t wait to hear more about her adventures with the boys!

    Hilarious with so much Heart
What a joyously funny production with warmth towards the original source material but enough irreverence to make you squeal with laughter. I am loving every moment of this show!!

I want to pick Hampton Fawx up by the scruff of his neck like a mother cat
This show is not only proof that you can tell funny, joyfully queer stories in historical fiction, but a rallying cry for more of them. A razor-sharp Victorian farce with a solid mystery, genre-perfect sound design, and a found family of characters it barely takes a second to fall in love with.

Can’t wait for the next episode
Discovered this podcast during the holidays and thoroughly enjoyed it. Hilarious, love the characters, eagerly awaiting the next developments. Hope the boys (+ Madge) can solve the case.

    I’m biased
Yes. I am. I’m only a very small part of this. But I wasn’t part of The Vanishing Act and I loved that. So I can say with absolute confidence, i would be listening to this and loving it, even if I didn’t know the creators.

Vanishing Act Crew does it AGAIN!
Do you like mysteries, frivolity, murder, and hijinks?! OF COURSE! And nobody does it better than Lauren & Ian who are back with another hilarious audio drama. The absurd flavor of The Vanishing Act, their last project, is definitely present here, but the story couldn’t be more different, and the cast is STELLAR top to bottom. Cannot wait for more!!
