It's alright; I'm a doctor.Gross editingEvery time a death in Prince of Darkness is mentioned, the podcasters treat your ears to the sound of stabbing, groans, etc. This is a junior high school student’s idea of the purpose of editing.

Vom 1CinemaI’m trying to figure out why guys who haven’t really seen movies is doing a podcast about movies. But I like the movies guys do

The_Ruiner_Who _RuinsAlex has great taste in movies! From this podcast, I am learning that Alex and I have very similar taste in movies. They either watch one of my old favorites or recommend a movie that becomes a new favorites. It’s always great to get Vinny’s take on a movie and it’s very charming to hear Brad connect with these films for the first time. Hilarious, insightful, and well edited. Like all the best podcasts, it makes you feel like you’re hanging out with 3 very cool people.

j hyrkMy new favorite rewatch podcastI’ve been familiar with the Nextlander crew for a while and watched their streams, but somehow didn’t realize that they had this podcast. I really like this crew and they seem to watch exactly the kind of stuff that I love, it’s basically a perfect match. Keep it up boys!

mrbsA Movie Podcast by Movie WatchersWhat I love about this podcast is that they come at movies as viewers. While Alex obviously researches the movies, and seems to have a wider breadth of knowledge than just cramming from wikipedia and imdb, Vinnie and especially Brad haven’t even seen that many movies, and are approaching it as new viewers who are getting to discover a lot of films for the first time. The trick is that this crew has a long history in video game reviewing and video production, so they have all the skills and knowledge needed to discuss and review a piece of media, and now they get to apply it to a new medium. Highly skilled novices being guided through some classic movies by Alex. They always approach it as a viewer of the movie and not a student in a film history classroom.

DoctorWorm78High ArtThree great people, love the themed months, and really great editing and sound drops. Plus, I love the production research on the movies! Couldn’t ask for more!

Donziboy32There’s Never Been A Better Watchcast…As someone who has followed these guys regularly over the years, I was beyond excited to learn that they are doing a weekly podcast about movies and tv shows. Whether I have an interest in the source material or not, I’m always excited to hear their opinions, which don’t always align. Alex’s research and knowledge really brings an interesting spin to this format and is a great addition. Please…never stop doing this podcast. If I had to offer one suggestion it would be to tell us where you watched the show/movie. I understand not wanting to give any streaming service free advertising but it would be a great service to your audience to know where, if anywhere, they could watch these without hunting down obscure DVD/Blu-Rays (which seems to be how Brad watches most of them). Thank you, again! Never stop doing this podcast!!!

BruzeWayneGood details, fragile emotionsWhile I appreciate the detail they go into in the movies they’re discussing, there’s far too much SJW troping and this is coming from an old school liberal person. For instance, just listened to the demolition man episode and we got these guys editing their own version of the movie to remove an Asian joke, and having to bring up and bemoan racial protesting and how this film wouldn’t be right to make these days, knock the film for AIDS fear mongering, and give Sly a pat on the back for respecting the consent of Sandra bullock to not want to engage in fluid transfers. It’s like come on my man, not everything is a hill you need to die on. Let’s just get less cringe because the fun facts about production and behind the scenes stuff is really cool but I find myself eye rolling so much with their sociopolitical commentary it takes away from the experience. It’s demolition man for goodness sakes. I hope these dudes never watch Predator cause they will have to remove Jesse Ventura and Shane Black from the film altogether.

KWA223A nice easy listening adventure through TV and FilmsI love the vibe of this podcast. Just 3 friends (sometimes with a expert guest friend) chatting about movies and films throughout the ages. I enjoy the line they tow between critically analyzing a show or movie but also being able to laugh and celebrate the art of film at the same time. It’s a very nice balance.

17484047493Good vibesVery relaxed, entertaining movie banter from the boys with some great movie/TV choices, so far. Looking forward to more.

The Tony ShowGreat show for casual film fansVery enjoyable listen, especially if you’re already familiar with the personalities of Vinnie, Brad, and Alex from the main Nextlander podcast. You can tell that they all enjoy movies but also have a ton of blind spots for classics, so it’s cool hearing people react to some of these seminal movies later in life. Looking forward to seeing where it goes!
