Nate and crew make an awesome show. I enjoy how strait to the point he is and pulls no punches.

After FIVE hundred episodes, Let’s Play has sanded off the edges it barely ever had. Three top stories daily with a weekly Friday rundown. Concise facts flavored with sharp-witted analysis. The worst thing about this podcast is that there isn’t more of it, but everyone deserves a couple days off and our favorite audiomancer is no exception. Update: I’ve felt compelled to lower the show’s rating due to less-consistent episodes having been a factor for several months, and while mitigation measures such as guest hosts have been occasionally used - and excellently so - they have not been used consistently, which I’d encourage when Nate cannot host as usual. Note this is a critique of a core factor of the show, though, and not of the people who make it — I am looking forward to returning that last star to my next review, after the show returns to fully executing on its 5-day-weekly schedule.

Longtime listener of yours since LBR 1.0, but after your political rant the other day Im done sitting back listening to your leftist piehole berate people for having a different view than you do. Yes its a 5 min podcast but you find ways to jab in your leftist ways. Hope you learn your way isnt always the right way. Zahan from bahamut server.

I used to listen to checkpoint XP religiously. Loved listening to the gaming news, reviews, and the normal banter between them all. After Nate left it never felt the same and ultimately it is no more. Went awhile with no real consistent news in the gaming industry. Well, now I do. This is everything you want it to be. It’s Nate in all his glory, and even some cameos from the likes of landis and weird beard. Thanks for doing what you do and keep it up. I’ll be subscribed and listening as long as you keep going.

I’ve been looking for daily news podcasts and Let’s Play scratches that itch. Rather than just reading gaming company press releases the host takes his time to cover stories on the business side of gaming as well as the fun side. Production quality is high and I feel more informed after every daily episode. Thanks Nate.

The only negative thing I have to say about this podcast is that I wish it was longer! I enjoy getting a daily dose of what’s going on in the gaming world and Nate is the perfect guy to deliver it. Been a fan of Nate’s since discovering him on Checkpoint Radio some years ago. Whether I agree or not I always appreciate Nate’s perspective on things. I Definitely recommend this!

Killing it on the headlines and quick run-throughs of news in gaming and the gaming industry, especially for someone like myself who works multiple jobs, has kids, and is always on the go, feeling like they don’t have time to enjoy long-form podcasts like they used to. I’ve been listening to you since 2014 with LBR, their spin-offs, and the eventual start of Checkpoint; when I found this and saw you were the host, had to give it a try and as always you didn’t disappoint. Last week especially was great hearing Kali’s and Robbie’s voices again — felt like old friends getting back together again that I’d missed for a while! Enough of the nostalgia-dump: love the knowledge you bring each episode, the brief but informative format it’s done in, and look forward to each episode every weekday before work. Keep it up!

This podcast is getting better and better each day. Nate keeps the stories short and sweet hitting on all the issues and putting a little of his own opinions in them.

Let’s Play is concise, professional, and informative. While mostly objective, there’s some subjectivity mixed in, which I appreciate. My only feedback is that that audio is mixed much louder than all of my other podcasts, so when your show cycles into my rotation I have to rush to turn down the volume to save my ears.

A+ for the production quality of this podcast. I really enjoy the host delivery and daily gaming news. I do wish the podcast was a little longer for my daily commute. However, that being said, I don’t know that a daily gaming news podcast would have enough news to warrant that without adding other segments. I mostly enjoy the Friday weekly round up because of the length. My only major complaint is I wish opinions were left out. I generally agree with most of the opinions delivered in this podcast. However, I prefer my news just facts from all sides. Keep listening.

Twitter feed clogged up causing you to miss the newest CS:GO drama? Don't worry, because Nate didn't miss a beat. Not only will Let's Play get you caught up with an objective, clear, and concise synopsis of recent events but Nate also has the unique ability to give his personal side of the story in a way that contributes positively to the conversation even if you disagree. The production is more professionally put together and the writing covers a range of more useful topics than a lot of 'corporate content creation' coming from large industry entities with entire production teams. If you are looking for a podcast in the gaming & tech sphere that is accessible, informative, and entertaining then look no further. I hope Let's Play continues long into the future, and I will always support the quality content coming from the genuine people behind it!

Brief but highly informative snippets on the latest gaming news. Despite the short run time, Let’s Play doesn’t waste any of it with fluff and focuses on going straight into what really matters. The high production values as well as Nate’s voice and commentary are a welcome addition to the busy morning routine. Personally, I wouldn’t mind a longer runtime.

I’m not huge into podcasts in general but I started listening to them while doing mindless jobs. I enjoy this podcast cause it’s short but to the point. Getting a quick listen about some gaming news and info is always a good time!

I have really enjoyed this podcast so far. It offers a very good amount of information and content in a short amount of time while also remaining entertaining. Definitely a recommend

If you feel out of the loop but dont have the time to keep up on all the stuff happening in gaming, this is the perfect place to find it. All you need 5 days a week, you're a fool for not subscribing.

Nate has done a wonderful job with this podcast. Short, sweet, and to the point. All the news about video games in a short amount of time leaves me wanting more, will be tuning in everyday to hear what’s next and you should too!
