    A deep dive!
The research that went into each episode! Wow! Great job!

    Thorough and accurate
There is not a better podcast out there on the Zodiac Killer. If you’re interested in this case it is an absolute must. No other podcast can hold a candle to this one.

    Good, But Not For Everyone
This seems to be a love or hate proposition judging from the reviews here, which is understandable. I’ve followed the case for decades with varying degrees of interest and attention, and the depth and detail does appeal to me. However, I can see why it could be off putting to people with a more casual interest or newcomers to the case. Also, over the course of the episode, Richard Grinell is very over the top. He used to make an interesting contrast to Morf, but he’s become pompous and takes himself a bit too seriously. This is a Zodiac true crime podcast, not Shakespearean theatre. His every sentence is a grand pronouncement, often way out of proportion to any actual importance or relevance to the case. He really needs to dial down the King Richard III histrionics. But it has to be said, this is one of the very best Zodiac podcasts. One can argue about them going down rabbit holes and blind alleys too often and reaching for connections that likely aren’t there. But, these guys do put in the time and effort chasing down clues, no matter how obscure and seemingly trivial. It’s that kind of dedication and attention to detail that can provide that unlikely but crucial clue that helps crack a cold case. And even though I gave him some grief about being over the top, Grinell’s website “Zodiac Ciphers” is great.

    The best
This is the best zodiac podcast on the market. Hands down. Any negative review is comparing it to something that doesn’t exist. This is the best, period.

    Hmm
Could it be possible that the zodiac was a postal employee?

    Love this podcast
Awards go out to Mr. Grinnel for figuring out likely candidates for Zodiac forgery letters, which probably have imposter DNA and which (most) probably came from the killer. He shows why LE determinations aren’t trustworthy. Both Grinnel and Morphord prove that a familial DNA search is warranted.

    Good. Could be great.
Though these guys are in dire need of a solid script editor, there is far more going for this podcast than against it. The hosts are interesting and the episodes well researched and well delivered, and only the redundancy at times and the often armature-ish writing keep me from rating it higher. Good show.

    Great hosts, no fluff
As someone who’s deeply interested in the Zodiac Killer, coming across this podcast has been so great. Both hosts are so knowledgeable and have such great perspectives and insights on the Zodiac. I’ve learned so much not just about the Zodiac Killer but about how the media, law enforcement and public at large conceptualized his crimes during the late 60s-70s. I highly recommend this podcast for anyone who wants smart discussion about the Zodiac Killer, without the fluff and unfounded rumors.

    Deep Dive on the Details
I am really enjoying the podcast! It is for those who want to hear the details. I have liked Morf since the Golden State Killer case and Richard is just amazing in the way he has analyzed the smallest aspects of this case. I would love to hear about more suspects and the political agenda the Zodiac had in his writings. His motive fascinates me. Was it a campaign to discredit antiestablishment rhetoric? Or was it just a crazy serial killer who hated the “pigs”? Can’t wait to hear more guys! Thanks.

Meticulous research— ready to solve the mystery
So well done— I think this is the year! Morf is really the best researcher and I like Richard’s accent ...makes for good contrast. (He s also a very good researcher ) keep putting it out there! While researching a paper on Netta Fornario I was linked into various sites that connected the Masons, Alister Crowley, all manner of codes and cryptography that reminded me very much of the zodiac. I m sure you 2 have studied the links but may be interesting to other listeners. Keep the podcast coming!! Update: for myself, I feel 100 percent Mac is the one. So question (since my emailed one was not addressed) have you shifted to gathering info to validate your suspicions (albeit with an open mind )? What would it take/what are you realistically hoping for to nail down Mac? And what does Richard think about Mac? Great work— great puzzle solving— and excellent podcast. You should be proud!

    Great deep dive
This is such a great deep dive on zodiac. These two have such knowledge and bring up great points. A good listen and new info and theories.
  • The Arioto
    Excruciatingly Monotone
I have given this several tries as I usually like Morf, but I just can’t make it through. If you are looking to fall asleep the this is for you. Zero passion information dump. The 3 stars are for the work that has gone into the info. Negative stars for presentation. :/

Well put together show on the Zodiac Killer
I like how the hosts of the show analyze the facts and aren’t afraid to NOT jump to conclusions without supporting evidence.
  • DieHard2000
Very interesting. Very detailed and entertaining!
Just listened to to first episode! Can’t wait to hear to more. Love the details. Many things I have never heard before. Keep up the great work please.

Facts + opinions + debate = a perfect Zodiac podcast!
I have learned about the Zodiac on many true crime podcasts and before because of the movie which I hated before becoming a true crime fan. This podcast shares the facts and then discusses them. I know a lot of people might not care about the hosts’ opinions but these opinions are well informed and it helps provide different perspectives on a well known case. You don’t have to agree to listen to someone else’s opinion and thoughts. I love this podcast and suggest new listeners try to be open minded because they are not trying to change your mind. They’re just trying to give you more things to think about and I love that! Thanks for a great podcast! :)

    These guys know their stuff
If you’re seriously interested in the Zodiac killings, and want to understand more than just the re-hash most podcasts give it, this is the one for you. Deep dives into actual evidence like witness statements, letters content, police reports and more can be too detailed for some, but are exactly what I was looking for. They also address many Zodiac theories, even some far fetched ones, with fairness and analysis, not just dismissing them out of hand or ignoring them. Looking forward to hearing more episodes

Great show for folks deep into this case.
I have always had an interest in the Zodiac case every since someone lent me the Graysmith’s book in high school - back in 1995. I keep on the case on a regular basis, so I consider myself somewhat informed on this entire case. I am a fan of Morf too. Not only his Zodiac site but other things he does - especially the Criminology podcast. I like this particular podcast - to an extent - but I think this one may be best for folks are who *really* into the case. I haven’t learned much info - but the conversation between Morf and Grinell is what makes this podcast unique. Two folks who are total experts at this case discussing and sharing theories.
  • guisetheevent
    Guessing he’s in plain sight.
I really appreciate these podcasts tremendously! The detail work and no rock unturned approach has helped me with my puzzle about this case. Please keep these coming. The Zodiac case is an iceberg.
  • Wags08
    Informative and compelling podcast
Very thorough and detailed, Morf and Richard do a great job. It examines the Zodiac’s crimes and communications and also offers discussion about Zodiac and what drove him to commit the crimes. They also discuss potential suspects and potential Zodiac crimes. It’s not a salacious podcast that retreads the high points of Zodiac murderous output, trying to create a Zodiac Mythology. It’s an intelligent podcast with lots of observations from two gentlemen who have investigated the Zodiac Case thoroughly.

    Fascinating
Highly recommend to anyone interested in this infamous case
  • zinnowinno
    I tried!
Wanted to like this and gave it many shots but am constantly tuning out because it’s wayyyy too detailed and sounds like it was written to be read, not listened to. The sentences are very long and complex, and read in monotone way- it’s just not engaging. I also have trouble understanding one of the hosts.
  • AugyBog
    I can’t get enough!
I’m so enthralled by every episode! I need every last detail of the Zodiac as do both of you. I can’t thank you enough for all your research and time you’re taking to try and get to the bottom of this case. Please keep up the great work. I truly hope you both solve this case that us “true crime buffs” want an answer to. I think that if anyone can figure this out, Morf can. Thanks to both of you for such a great & intriguing podcast!

    Not for casual listening
I know a fair bit about the case. I have watched several documentaries and shows about the Zodiac. But I couldn’t get through a single episode of this podcast. It is excruciatingly detailed. But unless you are a detective yourself or obsessed with the case, you will not like this podcast. It doesn’t draw any conclusions and it is just a reading of the details of the case reports with no inflection.
  • Big Rich Kuklinsli
    Very informative
This might not be a great podcast for people who have never heard of The Zodiac- but is excellent for those familiar with the case. The hosts bring up a lot of details that were simply glossed over by other sources. I hope that there are a lot of episodes in this series and I can’t wait for the next one to drop!
  • Catfishe Haggot
    Top notch Zodiac research
This is the best podcast to date about the Zodiac case. Both hosts are extremely knowledgeable about the many fascinating aspects of the crimes. Some of the other reviewers have criticized the monotone delivery of the hosts and I agree this is an area of the podcast that could be improved on. But, this isn’t a story telling podcast that requires dramatic retelling. This is a deep dive into the facts and theories of the case. I am so grateful to the hosts for doing this podcast. I hope they keep making episodes until the case is solved. Keep up the great work and many thanks.
  • PurpleAlchemist1
Reading for 20 mins then talking about one subject for another 20.
I tried to listen to this, but there was barely any structure. They just started off by taking turns reading reports but one guys sounded very monotone whenever he read and the other sounded over-the-top British. It was a weird blend. And then after they were done reading, they spent the rest of the episode discussing ONE TOPIC. Like, taking about a bullet for ten minutes straight. There could have been a better layout.
  • TCDNashville
Beware of iffy reviews from newbies
People listening to a podcast on the Zodiac WANT the minutiae these two provide. Both are acknowledged authorities on this case. I eager look forward to each new episode. Ignore the newbies who prefer their true crime with more zinfandel.

    Great Podcast
Only a few episodes in I can already tell this is going to be a very entertaining listen. Lots of factual information instead of people who pick a suspect and then work backwards . Thanks for the time and research.
  • Lollygurl2
    Don’t bother
Couldn’t even make it through the first episode. You are beaten to death with minutiae
  • gg88888ssss
    Slow and boring
Just reading a transcript. Too boring.
  • bingeybecky
    Oh no
This reminds me of classic “don’t do this” in speech class in college. When you read directly off paper, you lose your audience and I fear that’s the case with this podcast. I understand the interest in Zodiac by both of these gentlemen, it at this point includes no new information from what I heard and the delivery is just sooooooo boring.I have tried to start this podcast three times and three times I’ve just had to stop.

    Awesome Podcast!
Of all the True Crime cases, the Zodiac intrigues me the most. Great choice!

    Best podcast on zodiac
This is told so well. Easy to follow and packed with details. Other podcasts on this topic are difficult to follow and really not that informative, so this podcast is really refreshing.
  • JaneNE77
    Stop saying “actually”
It’s a totally unnecessary crutch word. Both hosts say it repeatedly. Go back and listen to your episodes and you will realize you are actually saying actually many, many times. It’s not just you 2, most podcast hosts actually do the same. It’s actually super annoying. Otherwise good information. These 2 have definitely done the research.
  • Pacman9898
    No new developments
How many times can one guy try and rehash same topic.

    Excellent Podcast
I listened to the first two episodes and they were excellent. Recommended!

    Great podcast!
I am a huge fan of Mike Morford! He inspired me to start my own podcast 2 years ago. Keep up the great work.
  • Cleminole
    Curious choice
I’m curious why you chose Richard to narrate the first episode. His accent is fine and there’s zero wrong with his storytelling, but I get caught up in the accent and it gets monotone. I’m sure it would be a great podcast, just not my speed. Again, Richard sounds great and if the accent doesn’t distract you, this would probably be a very good one. I’m tapping out but they seem to have a ton of info through exhaustive research. Good luck Zodiac!!!
