WestendRipThe CloserI’ve enjoyed this podcast for many years. I do miss Drake even though he’s a borderline mental patient, that’s his strength. I really like how you bring in the “Closer” Gary to finish off interviews. He always brings the heat!
-
ÆghhdbjjGood yearI have enjoyed the additional content options this year!

derm10DrakeListen to every cast. I was sent into depression when drake left. Saw the email on patreon he came back. Instantly got hard. I always listen while driving. I’m gonna watch this one. Kluver can get annoying but he’s still very intelligent and love listening, gbone and the broncos rock, broncos nation baby, Kevin never shows up so he’s just eh, idc if he’s there or not. Need to bring top 5 back. Love this show, will always listen. HBAM

ARP1285#SwarmI found this podcast from my brother, as a true Hawkeye, you guys are amazing!

HawkeyeFan354 starsIf there was a good way to capture the feeling of this show, there would be so many others like it. Drake is the crazy one you look at to make yourself feel less dumb sometimes, but we love him and thank him for running through linebackers for the team. Drake also was the funniest, and we could count on him to say the quiet part out loud. Kluver is the one that would definitely be bullied in high school if his nerd area wasn’t strength and conditioning and he didn’t play football. He provides a little insight, but he is only really there to keep the show afloat at this point. Kevin is a good listen when talking about football, but only when he shows up. The peak of this show was when they had four members, but it’s down to two and a half. Drake left, Kevin’s gone, but the bright spot is Gary. Grant is the voice of everyone on this podcast, asking the questions and making the jokes for all of us. Give him some money from the show at this point, because he also took Kluver’s job of tech guy. All of that is the general takeaway I get, but still a show worthy of 5 stars, but gets 4 stars because everyone doesn’t show enough to give 5.

ByCodyHillsMade a Believer Outta MeWhen WuW first began, I sort of took the contrarian route and chose not to listen. I guess I just felt everyone was all over it, so I didn’t need to be. I wasn’t interested. Alright, what a mistake that was, OK? (KF voice) …anyway, I finally started regularly listening ahead of the 2024 season and what a treat to myself it has been. The insight and perspective is second-to-none and it’s always the perfect mix of realistic expectations and optimism that I, too, choose to view the Iowa football program through. I will forever now be a listener. (@ByCodyHills)

shalifaripFoul language drove me awayI’m tried of hearing commercials for this podcast that sound like a good topic I want to hear. I listened to one and the foul language made it unbearable. I tried to suffer though it hoping it was a mistake. Since that time many others have sounded like topics I want to hear. I skip them because of that one experience. I see tonight it is rated poorly. I wish there was a clean version I could listen to.

ShhsixmThe best Hawkeye podcastA podcast that you would think is by former players by listen to them but you wouldn’t know that one was a manager (in the eyes of AJ Epensna) one was a the towel boy, and the other was a make a wish kid that ended winning a contest to get on the show. All jokes aside they have great views and have a different perspective than others. As a Nebraska Hawkeye fan these guys give me love every Monday and Thursday.

Jaxson JorthHawks by a millionNebraska native that bleeds black and gold love listening to you guys week in and week out. love what yall do for the kids at UI children’s Hospital. Go Hawks - Jaxson
-
HawkinBamaBest Iowa PodcastWe’ve been loyal listeners since the very beginning. Tyler, Kevin, Drake, and (recently) Grant have been fantastic to listen to on a weekly basis. The humor, analysis, and general nonsense are worth any Hawkeye fans’ time. The added content coming to the channel this football season will make them even more must-listen.

brycera18Rugby kickingWith rugby why you see some kicks from the sideline or even can be straight on from the goal post is wherever you you touch the ball down in the “try zone” is where you will have to kick the ball from so basically you have a imaginary straight line from where the ball is placed down to the 22 yard line. When you see the kick from a sideline and they are standing right in front of the 22 yard line is because for that kick it’s the best angle to be able to curve the ball in. For Aussie rugby they do have a different rule set compared to the rugby you can see here in the states as well and with Aussie rugby kicking the ball is so much more emphasized around all the players being able to do it then here in the USA we usually have a couple guys that are known to be the“kicker”.

FlaughlesssMy Favorite D&D PodcastThe Washed Up Walkons bring you a once in a lifetime experience with this unique Dungeons and Dragons Campaign. Dungeon Master Grant builds an amazing fantasy world like no other to be explored by the Washed Up Warriors of Kevin, Drake, and Tyler. Truly an experience you cannot afford to miss.

JKemp123“I’ve got a shovel & time” - Best Podcast on Planet EarthIf you’re looking to get an inside perspective from two former Hawkeyes and the G-bone… Then it doesn’t get any better than this. RIP Drake - BF gang or die 👊

TDoogleThe “Most Entertaining” Iowa podcast out thereAs a washed up former college athlete myself, these clown cocks remind me of how great it was to be a part of a locker room and to make lifelong friends as a result of grinding with each other. As the workouts and games fade away those connections remain and turn to life experiences; careers, families, etc. You guys have figured out a great balance between Friendship pod and Breaking down the games in season. All of you guys remind me of somebody in my circle of teammates and makes WUW’s way too relatable. Hopefully, Drake can bounce back from his sore vagina and rekindle his passion that he had early on. Kluv, Kevin and G-bone kudos to strapping it up and providing the fans with the content we love. Thank you gentlemen! #Hawksbyamilly and Epstein didn’t kill himself!
-
Chickdude 3Friendship podcast is a hootI miss Drake, but G-bone is a great addition. Kevin is always solid and insightful. And Tyler is the glue that holds it all together. They are sometimes controversial, often hilarious, and always true black and gold Hawkeyes. I won’t miss an episode!
-
Natedawg2420Great perspectiveHad season tickets since 2009 and remember watching these guys play! Particularly Kluv since his name was called out constantly on long snaps. I’m fairly new to the podcast as I was recommended by a fellow tailgate buddy late in the season. These are definitely the guys you want to crack a beer and have some breakfast with on gameday. Keep doing what you’re doing guys and let’s get the dub in Indy this weekend! Hawks by a million!

Thove25If Seinfeld was about Hawkeye sportsFirst of all: Drake come back. Secondly: Best Hawkeye/Friends podcast out there. Third: Badgerhawk75 nailed it with his/her review. The chemistry here is very Seinfeld-esque, especially now that they added Grant. Kevin is the steady one - so he is Jerry. Kluver is Elaine = somewhat level-headed but also quirky in his own right. Drake is always angry at something, so he is George Grant is the one who you're not quite sure how he found his way into this crew, but somehow is always there and adds value to the chemistry. That makes him Kramer. I have never met these guys, but listening to them makes me feel like I am among a bunch of buddies shooting the $h!#. I feel like I know them. As someone who was once involved in the football program (a long time ago), hearing these guys reminisce makes me happy that the game, the team culture, brotherhood and antics had not changed much over the years. Their guest interviews are great. Their in season game analyses are spot on. So much so in fact, that I would love to see them do an episode actually DURING a Hawkeye football game, like the Mannings on Monday Night Football. Perhaps an in-person, live event at a venue that serves Hops by a Million beer, where they are doing a live broadcast during the football game to raise money for the kids... Feel free to credit me on the air for that idea, Kluver. Keep up the great work and Hawks by a Million!
-
JRLAhawkIt’s okayKevin provides good insight, Drake is entertaining if sometimes a little much, Kluver is endlessly cringy, misuses more “big” words than anyone else on the planet, and has a little brain but somehow an enormous ego. Sub Gary in for Kluver and it wouldn’t be half bad.
-
Badgerhawk75The Seinfeld of PodcastsThis is truly the Seinfeld of podcasts and yet I listen every week. It’s run by an Uber-Narcissist, a paranoid bipolar psycho (whom I worry about sometimes), the worlds most uninteresting man, and an intern that asks the most intelligent questions. Their interviews with former players are amazing and their behind the scenes football nuggets are the worth their weight in gold. And how can you say no to a podcast that supports the kids? They make Iowa proud.
-
EmWiesyElite PodLove this show. Always entertaining and you guys get a great group of guests to join. Listening during work hours makes the work day a little less terrible. Partial to Drake because I’ve known him a large majority of my life and he’s always been a great dude. Kluv, Kev, and G-Bone are pretty elite as well.

prodigy1631Rogan Should Have These Guys as Guestslet me just give you a quick format of a WUW podcast drake intros the podcast by roasting tyler who is too busy looking at an insta post he made of himself doing crossfit to care kevin sounds like a fish with a turn signal every now and again but offers the only useful thoughts that arent demeaning or narcissistic tyler tells some story about how hes a bad father and cant even stand up from the toilet without getting a concussion drake says something that would get all of them canceled if it wasnt bleeped out kevin eats something and they talk about how he owns stryker episode over and you are still laughing so u hop on patreon give some money to the iowa children’s hospital to hear what drake has to say without the bleeps on dht get done and realize they mentioned nothing about iowa sports but u dont care because ur just itching for the next episode and if it is about iowa sports (during football season) u get more info than u think u couldve ❤️u guys
-
Iowabowhunter1Great Hawkeye PodcastI’d give 5 stars but your pod cast made me sick. I got a fever, and the only prescription is more Brady Ross.
-
HhgduI AMDRAKE KULICK
-
Mark TurtlesallthewaydownGood Hawkeye podcastUnique insider perspective within the Iowa media space. If Kevin were 5’8 he would have spent college as the glue guy in a fraternity
-
ConfusedBreakfastPodcastLove itThis is the best Hawkeye related podcast out there…. Hands down!
-
LudaKrisDSMNot Your Standard Hawkeye PodcastTyler is a narcissist. Drake is a psychopath. Kevin is like if an unseasoned chicken breast became sentient. Somehow those ingredients come together to make podcast magic. Come for the Hawk discission, stay for their oddly entertaining personal lives. DHT is well worth the Patreon expense.
-
kfsdiscipleVery insightful, very honestThese guys don’t hold back, if you want to know how things operate inside Iowa football, or major college football, it’s worth listening to guys who spent years in the program. At times it’s NSFW, but the post game breakdowns are the best, most insightful pods out there.
-
NoHasBeenJustNeverWasBlue collar football podcasttruly enjoy listening to you four (you too g whatever) laugh at least once a podcast. love that we get an in the locker room look from guys who have been there, but also arent stuck up and they are truly genuine. PS Kluver is Eric your uncle? Went to Indianola, played football he was my head coach. I never actually played, not even a has been, a never was!
-
EasyHawkGreat PodcastI listen to every episode, really entertaining and I like all three hosts (and of course Grant). Love Kevin’s knowledge of defense and Drake’s stories of hanging with George and crew, and Kluver’s energy and humor (he would just stand up). Keep it going!
-
Creek BeaverOne star for each memberEach member of the crew is worthy of one star. Drake, Kevin, Tyler, Grant and Gary
-
hjbfubcfPassion for the Tigerhawk!Amazing friends podcast that also has some hawkeye content. Tyler, Kevin and Drake all share their passion for the UoI and all sports included.
-
Jdubinator2001Hilarious ContentKluver’s shiny head caused me blindness. Immediately making an eye doctor appointment.
-
ImahawkiJust badHalf douchebros half MAGA morons. Way too much rambling.
-
CBY04Ferentz apologistTitle says it all.
-
car wccidentCar accidentDoes the paid version not have to listen to Kevin eating?
-
Iahawks12Great football podcastGreat football podcast with great insight from former players. A significant increase in ads and lack on content has made it a tough listen outside of football season however
-
notascientist10Best IOWA pod out thereThese guys get it cause they’ve been there! Amazing chemistry and in depth knowledge of everything Iowa football and culture
-
ripbrandHumble and knowledgeableA must-listen podcast for any Iowa football fan. These guys know their stuff, and they are funny too!
-
CubsIn4Great ListenHawkeye Nation is lucky to have this podcast. It’s awesome to get these three perspectives on Iowa Football on a weekly basis. I’m sure not many fan bases have this type of access into the minds of their favorite schools student athletes and what goes on outside of what fans see on Saturdays. Keep up the great content.

OBAaronFlawlessEnough said
-
ColepacSketchyNot sure what’s going on here? Is it a MMA, Crossfit, or whatever Kevin does podcast? If he shows up. We get it. You know Theo. Congrats bro. And sell that house already. Any football anywhere? I can’t even listen to it in the car with my family because they will think I’m an idiot. I mean, how many times can we hear about how much of a goo Kluver used to be. Is this my grandma’s podcast? Let loose a little bit. Quit being so uptight. Holy s#£t. This podcast rules. Hawks By A Million. Team Hill-Rom. Five stars.
-
Paige11roxGood timesI really have enjoyed just about all of the episodes, with a stinker or 2 thrown in there. I enjoy the back and forth bantering between the 3 of you (when KW decides to show up, lol). The football stories are the best. Would love to hear Kittle, Hock, and Linderbaum sometime soon if possible, Bohannon and the McCaffrey bros also. Keep it up boys.
-
xrayanneGreat listen for my drive timeI have over a 30 min commute for work. This pod is a great fun listen although occasionally they getting me laughing inappropriately and I start laugh/crying at some of their comments. Definitely a driving hazard disclaimer. Lol. Thanks for filling my mornings with an inside look at Iowa Athletics. GO HAWKS!
-
Swish5330Absolute ChaosIf you want in depth knowledge into college football from former players, and also want to hear the most reckless comments about daily sports news, this is the Pod for you. On any given podcast you may hear from a former players perspective on the game, or you may hear about Hope Solos curtains. It’s like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get. Hawks by a Million!
-
milboy64Expletives galore prevent me from listeningGreat Hawkeye content and insight, but man, just simply the constant expletives is against my nature and shows their immaturity. Also, cannot listen to this in the car or other speaker with family / kids around. I so want to listen to this during football season and recommend this podcast. I know they could do better and not cuss like they do.
-
You cant tipKevin sounds like his mic is 30 feet awayThat’s all
-
E90MackLove itBeen listening since Dochterman and Moorehouse ended their pod-this one is really fun! When they decide to get deep into x’s and 0’s, it works. Their perspective on game weeks (psu this year) is a different take. Tyler: get Kevin’s effin microphone situation figured out! One can often not hear him, and I’m not talking about the ones where he is driving from Crate & Barrel to his HOA meetings but when he is actually trying to mic up. Fix it!!!!! Given Kluver’s Marshalltown background this is podcast is likely related to the methamphetamine trade. No idea how. So if that bothers you then…there is that. They are really growing as interviewers and storytellers! Love the pod-thanks guys!
-
KxdadKeep it upGreat podcast with Deece keep up the great content Go Hawks
-
Hawkeyefan1991Great Show!A great show for Hawk fans. They find a great way to balance being former players, as well as being fans of the team. Give great perspective on the inner workings of the team. As well as being funny and interesting.
