Good show and very informative. But, please give the new video game a rest. Every other show has something to with the EA Sports College Football game. The game has nothing to do with what happens on Saturday. Stick to that.

Andy perfectly captures the quirkiness that makes CFB the unique product that we know and love. He blends insights and opinions without venturing into click-bait hot takes. Don’t underestimate how well connected he is in the industry. He almost always knows more than what he says, because he is an excellent reporter and understands how to balance opinion and reporting. Andy I think you are the best host in college football. But honestly you need a co-host. The conversations are so much better than just the one way radio. That back and forth is critical in today’s podcast environment. Maybe it’s just personal preference but all of the best podcasts and shows have dual hosts. Best radio shows as well. Even Francesca needed mad dog. PMT is built on PFT and Big Cat’s relationship.

Ya lost me when you said people want to watch the garbage that happened at the end of the women’s SEC basketball tournament final. First, what people REALLY want is to not be subjected to your opinions on college basketball, men’s or women’s. Second, not all of us are interested in brawls and classlessness. I teach my young daughters to keep their composure, rather than losing their cool and being mentally small. Things happen, sure, but it doesn’t mean we should celebrate it. But I guess if all you care about is the drama surrounding sports, and not actually the sports themselves, then knock yourself out. But don’t lump those of us who actually want to watch the sport in with the ones who care more about the kardashian type nonsense that sometimes accompanies it.

One of the better college football podcasts (I listen to a lot of them). Andy is usually first to market with CFB information and consistently puts out lots of relevant content with good guests. But, the ads are very long and not really informative. Mostly FanDuel state-by-state fine print that just distracts from the overall show. I get the need for sponsors to keep the light on, but those 2-min long ads in the middle of the show really degrade the listening value.

Andy, I love the show , but this last show of gushing over JH, is a stretch at best, they cheated & all the evidence that they have of this, even when UM wins the title its gonna be stripped in 2yra & that game Monday was mistake ridden on both sides, Michigan just happened to be the winner of Bama not getting the calls & breaks that they’ve had all year,UGA beats Michigan by 10 easy

Andy doesn’t love college football. He loves drama and entertainment and silliness when wrapped in the dressings of amateur football but these are very different things. He is a playoff expansion apologist no matter the cost to the sport and defers always to “the way it is” rather than how it should be. This allows him to take zero stances on anything and always be right. He yells about all the “good games” we’ll get through realignment or playoff expansion because he’s too shallow to appreciate the glory of traditional college football.

Andy, I came to your show for you when it was at the athletic and just tolerated Ari. Now, I find myself listening to Ari and Ubben consistently and forgoing your show/listening and disliking it solely bc Simonton is not any good. I mean that with the least disrespect to him as possible.

Loved the old show, love the new show. Andy is funny and serious all at the same time. Have to watch who you bring on. That show with Newberg was a disgrace, but how could it not be with him in it. You need to question idiots who come on with clear agendas. Thinks Miami had “more pushback last year” and “needs to figure things out on D” has clearly not watched a game, doesn’t understand football or is just a moron.

Andy is so good, but the format needs a co-host that can be a ying to his yang. Ari Wasserman worked so well with him because Andy had such a strong memory, whereas Ari is more goofy and outrageous. Ari’s hot takes on coaches, teams, or food meshed so well with Andy’s sharp insights. We need someone a little bit off the rails to bring out the best of Andy.

Is this guy a UM alum!? Turned episode off halfway into this guys segment. Why is it so hard to understand, it’s not that UM had signs, it’s how they illegally scouted. So simple

I love Andy staples, loved listening to him on the Athletic. That said, this format on On3 is doing him no favors. His charm is his rapport and random discussions with cohosts like Ari- being able to mix up the football talk with interesting personal views. This show format is sooooo boring. I like Andy, but it’s a hard listen. I listen to Cover 3, Solid Verbal, etc bc of the banter and rapport between the hosts. Andy is great but he has no outlet, he doesn’t have a co host to banter with. These interviews are interesting for their content but boring for a listen. I can listen to about half of each show, and then sadly I have to switch over.

I enjoy the parts where he has people on, the first half of each episode is lacking. Going six days a week with no co host I find myself skipping whole episodes since they are repetitive.

I am on the road a ton and Andy is dude!!! I am a college football freak fanatic and is the Godfather of podcast in college football!! The world doesn’t deserve ANDY STAPLES

Great insight, easy insight, pure football and none of the dumb stuff

Andy is just chasing the Benjamins with this podcast. He left a great organization and a great podcast to see gambling snake oil here. He predominantly is speaking alone with no one else to bounce opinions off of, Iand the constant blending of game analysis with gambling promos is so annoying. I’m sure the paychecks are great though which I’m sure is all he cares about at this point.

Like the instant analysis. Don’t need 3 pro abortion ads in your feed each week.

Andy’s done it again. This reformed podcast is legit. Heavy college football content, and great guest on the reg. Always look forward to newest drop. No favorites, always fair and true.

I loved his work with the Athletic and I’m going to stay subscribed for now. But as a longtime listener it really shows that he doesn’t have the same deep bench of guests and co hosts throughout the week.

I followed this podcast from the Athletic and found myself questioning why I was listening to this podcast today. Granted, I loved the show when Andy was at the Athletic with Ari Wasserman. It’s a bit SEC-centric (given Andy’s alma mater, go figure), meanders a bit with only focusing on headline topics with no real depth. I understand what Andy’s attempting with some of the interviews, but they fall flat. I find myself skipping forward hoping the next topic is a home hitter. It doesn’t help that Andy and his cohost aren’t gelling just yet. Alas, at the end of the day I think Ari Wasserman was what made the show great with hot takes and interesting stories. I don’t get any substance out if this pod that I can’t get on more entertaining pods like Cover 3 or The Audible or even Late Kick.

Always been a fan of Andy’s. And I will follow him here for a while. Hopefully the chemistry with Jesse gets better though. I know it will take some time so I am willing to hang on a bit longer. Please fix the commercial brakes. Instead of being where Anji places them, they just put them in willy-nilly in the middle of a sentence or conversation.

Andy and Ari needed to be separated. WAY too comfortable with each other. It descended into the likes of two high-school-friends cracking inside jokes and not getting much done (not reaching top potential). I enjoyed Ari when he was with Mitch because he would focus and had more value. Hopefully this show continues to be dry (in a good way) and straight to the point.

I was excited for Andy’s new venture but have been disappointed. Jesse really doesn’t add anything. I still appreciate Andy’s insights but in general the interviews are meh except for the offensive lineman.

Andy’s still got game but needs his favorite foil, Ari W. Content without characters to share their stories is boring. Time to check the transfer portal.

Andy is one of the best at college football analysis!

Andy is great! His cohost is not. Jesse has no bravado, cuts off Andy with his side comments and is a poor compliment to Andy. I miss Ari.

I followed Andy Staples through his career since the SI days. I was excited to get the podcast back but the podcast is pretty bad. There is zero chemistry between Andy and Jesse. All the 5 start ratings so far are before the show actually started. Check the ratings that have actually listened to pods. It was a 5 star podcast with Ari and company. Andy had real chemistry with those guys. Out of loyalty to Andy I gave it a 2 instead of a 1. If something doesn’t change it will be out of my rotation quickly. The Audible and Cover 3 are way ahead of this.

Excited for Andy’s new show. He always has interesting takes on whatever is happening in college football. He will always keep you up to date and looking forward to the next season!

That would be a great way to make sure dedicated programs don’t get “left out” for good and incentivize all schools to push for excellence, right?
