Edk1977Daf for beginners and expertsI heard Michelle Farber speak at my synagogue in 2016. She drew me in to Gemara and it was my first exposure. I decided to try her podcast, and I’ve been listening ever since. Every day except Shabbat (and lately she has been recording those after Shabbat as well) she reviews the daily Daf in a clear, concise, easily understandable way. The few times I have listened outlets with my husband present he has also been impressed, and he has far more years, more experience, with the Gemara than l. I have listened to other Daf podcasts, and as a woman I have felt excluded. In this case, women’s issues are handled forthrightly but with sensitivity. I wish I could sit at her table as she teaches, but since I am on another continent this is the next best thing. I am very glad she has decided to continue teaching in the next cycle.
