These guys do an excellent job generally, but the fact that they had Barry Jenkins on the pod is epic in the truest sense of the word. Moonlight might be the most moving movie I’ve ever seen. To have one of my favorite directors discuss my favorite (if hapless) football team is surreal.

I started listening to the pod this past season and wish I had found it sooner. Considering the amount of info and detail covered it is a really easy listen. Honest assessments with less drama than many others I’ve listened to. The video breakdowns are also incredible and have improved my experience as a Gator fan. We are lucky to have these guys and the work they do

Truly enjoy the deep dive into gator football. In all aspects such a well rounded POD. Great knowledge with also great banter between the Hosts. Makes you feel like your with the boys talking about your favorite team. Listen every week even in off season. Amazing job!

These guys are fantastic, and such a nice departure from the bombast and generic surface level analysis you get with most sports podcasts. GNFP is all about data and schematics and analytics and history and I absolutely love it. I feel like it’s Christmas Day every time one of their podcasts drops. Keep filling my stocking boys!

I look forward to these weekly during the season. Have tried about ten different gator podcasts and while I do enjoy many of them, this one is the best for breaking down and analyzing the games, players, coaching, etc.

Update: ask and you shall receive, the video breakdowns are amazing. And as before, the pod is so good that it ruins listening to all the other Gator podcasts. There is so much analysis, it feels like you’re in a grad school class for gator football and football in general. Original post: This is a fantastic pod. The only way it could be better is if it was had video, with film, graphics, etc., to better lay out the in/depth analysis. Crossing my fingers that someday SECN or ESPN Will throw a ton of money at these guys to fund a weekly show, it is far better than anything out there.

If you’re looking for a Gators podcast that has a no nonsense unbiased view on our favorite team, this is it! These guys love the Gators, and like myself, want to be at a championship level. Not only do these guys do an amazing pod but on YouTube they break down film. These guys are the best!

One of the best pods in any genre as far as I am concerned. When the Gators win you feel happy and when the loose you feel sad. When you listen to TGNFP you understand why you feel that way. It doesn’t matter what your level , from a non-football player like me to a D Coordinator like TG, you will learn something you can use next week. At least I choose to take the schooling…

Love having Dan as our coach. But in regard to his being a qb whisperer that has a few dents in it. The Trask/ Feleipe situation you have well chronicled by and now you are on top of the Emory/AR situation. I also remember Matt Corral being committed to us through McElwain’s firing and Mullen’s hiring. Then Dan seemed to push him away in favor of Emory. How does that look?

I’m very impressed with the depth of their knowledge and their ability to explain strategy and play calling. This is advanced football commentary. I really enjoy them.

That’s how I would describe these guys. They think they know it all and bash the good things about the program. The analysis is okay, but the Trask love and the arrogance is way too much. I want to enjoy who I listen to. JVD: You and your ridiculous three year test. First, it was Dan had to get to the SEC Championship and now that he got there, you’re changing the rules and saying he has to get to the playoffs. We had a great year man. Let it ride.

What I like about this podcast is the the in-depth nature. Really good breakdown of the game. I wish they had more recruiting info, and did more podcasts, but that’s just me being selfish. Good job boys, and keep it coming. It was great to hear you guys on the Gator Panel

Love the analysis, why schemes work or almost work. I would love to hear a ‘projection for OC Brian Johnson’ based on his previous and current work. Does he have to OC at multiple schools, take different positions, will he be a HC?

As far as covering the Gators football team, these guys go very in depth to a level no other podcast does with the evaluations of film they post on youtube. However, their criticisms no longer come off as contructive but as fans who complain over spilled milk. Instead of stating facts and giving valued opinions on the situation they tend to devolve to namecalling and whining over the situation. I think it’s pretty obvious up to this point who they don’t like on the team or on the coaching staff and that’s not necessarily something they should be proud of.

My go to gator podcast. James and Allen consistently bring the heat every episode. I appreciate the way they break down coverages, schemes, and analytics. Due to listening to the podcast I can now appreciate football in a new way. I consistently look forward to each new mega-sode. Keep up the great work guys. Go 🐊s. Trask for heisman.

This whole thing is an advertisement. The amount of actual football that gets talked about is low.

Intelligent, insightful and entertaining. It gives me something to look forward to. Quite simply, this podcast is a game changer for the Gator Nation. I learn something new each time I listen to one of their podcasts. This is the first (and probably last) time I’ll ever leave a podcast review but these two gentlemen deserve it. Go gators!

They give excellent in-depth analysis of offense and defense. Somehow they manage to be unbiased in their analysis while showcasing a great love for Gator football. I listen to this podcast every week and am never disappointed. Definitely a treasure for the Gator Nation.

My favorite podcast! James and Allen provide expert football analysis that really helps fans better understand how to process (and enjoy) our Florida Football. It’s by FAR the best Gator football podcast out there. I love that the spot on game analysis is always paired with their emotional reactions to the games. It’s helped me understand the game better as a whole yet also provide a great outlet for me to celebrate our victories and grieve our losses.

These guys are so good and really smart abt football

As a gator sports addict, I can confidently say that I’ve consumed just about every form of gator football media out there over the last few years. With that said, the National, SEC, and even Gator beat writers - whether in podcast or written form - just aren’t even in the same league as James and Allen when it comes to Gator football. This week, after a debilitatingly frustrating loss to LSU where the offense (especially a nothing shy of elite Kyle Trask) played beyond anyone’s hopes and plenty well enough to earn a W; my normal away game watch party found ourselves on the patio lamenting the various ways - both strategically and tactically - that our coaching staff took the opportunity to win the game out of our players hands. As I digest this week’s gator media, I find myself almost unable to listen to the takes whether its “Dan called a great game” or the “defense just didn’t play up to the gator standard” monikers... the analytic misses are just astounding. And then there’s the Gator Nation podcast, laying down some unfettered truth. And this isn’t something new, the pod has been nearly spot on every step of the way this season: from the ‘Franks hasn’t taken the next step’ lightbulb against Miami, to ‘Kyle has the tools to instill hope’ post-Kentucky, and now the ‘LSU loss belongs squarely on the coaches shoulders’. This pod has been our breath of fresh air during an epic first half of the season. Thanks for all the time, effort, and REAL analysis that you put into every mega-sode. A last note... being a former gator myself, I’ve actually reconnected with friends from school after hearing their names rattled off the dono list. You’ll be seeing my name and my Saturday crew there soon, as well. Go Gators, Phil

Alan and James are like having coaches breaking down game film. I love their analysis, especially when discussing QB play. If only the analysts on these other shows and podcasts were as insightful as Alan and James.... I think you guys should look into providing your services to some of these other struggling teams. An essential part of my week.

By far the best gator podcast. Not even close. Speaks to all types of fans. Those that want a cerebral breakdown and those that want the highlight. The highlight of my week is when the pod drops.

I doubt you can find a better University of Florida football specific podcast.

These guys provide the best analysis that you can find regarding Gator football. It is more in depth than I have found on any website or in any paper. If you are Gator football fan, this is the one and only podcast you need. Once it is up...it is my first listen.

Nothing else needs said.

Not only will I say this is easily the best Gator football pod available...but it also competes with some of the best NCAA football pods as well. The amount of detail James and Allen put into their pre/post analysis is top notch and well respected. Also, Allen (aka "A-Dubs") is one of the most gorgeous human beings I have ever seen before. Does that part have anthing to do with football? No. Is it worth mentioning? Absolutely.

This is by far the best Gators podcast. Truly fair and balanced not a homer show. If you get your feelings hurt like a girl this ain’t the show for you. All good things said, Allen please do something about your nose whistle!

This is by far my favorite Gator football podcast. Having moved back to Colorado after graduating from UF, I have had to rely on podcasts for my Gator football fix. I have been listening since the beginning (tuned out during the Russia season) and I always look forward to the thoughtful analysis of the games. As someone who played in high school, I really appreciate the deeper dive into play-call analysis and game theory driven coaching decisions.

You guys are awesome! You constantly bring the best Gator information with breakdowns of the”why “. The info y’all put out is backed up by stats and facts, and is not inflated by the biased of being a Gator.You are by far the best Gator football podcast I’ve ever listened to.
