    Such an informative podcast
This has been one of my favorite podcasts for over seven years now. Not only has it educated me on all things related to pregnancy, birth, and babies, but it has also helped me feel so empowered throughout my journey to motherhood! Thank you, Deb!

Binge listened to this throughout pregnancy!
This podcast became one of my favorites to listen to during my latest pregnancy. Not only is Deb Flashenberg (the host) a wealth of information, I love that she provides a non-judgmental platform for people to share their birth stories. I really like when experts are on the show because I feel like I’ve learned so much (love the episodes featuring midwives and doulas). I look forward to the episodes where people share their birth stories…I’ve cried to a few of them because it’s so beautiful listening to people open up about the profound experience of giving birth and parenthood. I recommend this podcast to yogis, people in the “birth world” (doulas, midwives, birth educators, etc), and anyone who is interested in birth and babies!

Range & depth of topics rules
A long time listener, I love the easy and curious way Deb engages a range of guests & topics related to the perinatal period and processes. Whether or not “yoga” is your thing (prenatal or otherwise) this podcast has loads of information and depth of inquiry. Looking to better understand the pelvic floor? Check! Looking to feel more at ease about the way you choose to feed your baby? Check! Wondering how to keep loving awareness on your perinatal mental & physical well being? Check!

    Recommend!
This podcast is incredible! It was so helpful throughout my own pregnancy and post natal journey. I studied with Deb through the Prenatal Yoga Center and continued my passion of bringing health and wellness to the pre and post natal community. I’ve continued recommending this podcast to my yoga students and it’s always a pleasure to hear them speak of stories they were come across that helped them through their own journey.

    Highly Recommend!
This podcast is one of my absolute favorites and has been for the past two years! I studied with Deb for prenatal yoga teacher training and she was a large part of my pursuing work as a birth doula. I listened to many episodes throughout my second pregnancy and I continue to learn from them and enjoy hearing other people’s birth stories. I love recommending this podcast to my prenatal yoga students and doula clients and learning from them about an episode I haven’t listened to before. Can’t say enough good things!

    Love this Podcast
One podcast is better than the next. I am finally getting around to writing a review-no doubt 5 stars… I find I listen over and over again and always recommend clients to tune in. Deb has an incredible breadth of knowledge herself but invites a diverse, Engaging list of guests that have so much to say; she asks amazing questions and I feel like as a listener you walk away with useful information. I appreciate her desire to look for the evidence to support functional births! The podcast is a gift!

    Really helpful and well executed
I recently discovered this podcast and have been binge-listening. She covers a wide range of topics I’ve been curious about as someone pregnant with my first child, putting me at ease for gaining relevant knowledge and making me feel more prepared. Deb is a great interviewer and asks the right questions, I also like her background as a yoga teacher and doula. She has almost 300 episodes, so you’ll likely find the topics you are curious about. And if not, she’s open to getting new topics to work on. Definitely recommend!!

Yoga Birth Babies is the best resource for parents, expecting parents, or anyone who wants to be a parent one day. Birthing parent or not, the podcast episodes on YBB are chock full of information that is SO SO useful to know when going through a pregnancy, birth, or parenthood. Deb interviews a wide variety of professionals, the conversations are easy to listen to and provide encouragement, support, and empowerment. A must for expecting mamas
This is an excellent podcast for anyone expecting! Helpful information, great conversations- highly recommend!
  • CristinaVeltri
    A must for expecting mothers!
As a first time expecting mother, I wanted to find a place where I could get most, if not all, of the information that I needed to prepare for childbirth and everything in between. The Prenatal Yoga Center (PYC) along with the Yoga Birth Babies (YBB) podcast have offered truly invaluable knowledge not only on the steps to take to prepare for childbirth, but also a deeper understanding of how a woman’s body changes throughout pregnancy. In yoga class, Deb has always addressed my concerns with sincerity. Through the Yoga Birth Babies podcast, I have learned a great deal of information on topics ranging from doulas and their unique role in supporting pregnant women and their partners, to how to prepare for and heal from a c-section, to hearing of common myths and facts about pregnancy and delivery. I recommend the PYC and YBB podcast to every expecting mother!

    Invaluable
I started taking virtual classes at PYC early in my second trimester and was quickly hooked. Practicing with Deb and the PYC community helped me find a sense of community during an otherwise isolated pandemic pregnancy. I looked forward to seeing familiar faces in class and hearing about the ups and downs of others’ experiences, reminding me that others were going through this journey as well. From planned home birth to planned cesarean, the PYC environment truly supports all types of pregnancy and birth experiences. Classes supported not just the physical aspects of pregnancy but also the mental and emotional. The themes discussed in class were often mirrored by the podcast episodes which provided a nice complement to my practice. I practiced the movements and mantras learned during class throughout my labor and found them extremely helpful when I became overwhelmed. Classes at PYC were one of the most impactful things I did to prepare for birth- highly recommend!

A joy to listen to while pregnant
A wonderful podcast! I love the way personal and approachable way Deb conducts the interviews - she always asks the question that’s on the tip of my tongue. Her guests are varied and informative. I especially love hearing the Community Birth stories. I have been listening to an episode every other day during my pregnancy and it has been an amazing resource. Highly recommend!

A must listen for pregnant folks and new parents alike!
I found this podcast while I was pregnant and continue to listen as a new mom! Deb presents information that often seems intimidating or scary in such a calm and friendly manner, I feel like I'm chatting with a (very well informed!) friend. I love how well researched this show is and I'm always impressed by the experts Deb brings on. A must listen for pregnant folks and new parents alike!

Love love love this podcast !
I highly recommend this podcast!! I found out about this podcast after becoming a prenatal yoga student of Deb’s and it was like the gift that kept on giving....as if her amazing prenatal yoga classes weren’t enough, now I had interesting, engaging and extremely informative podcasts to listen to about all things pregnancy and parenting related that I had questions about or never even thought about but am glad I came across. I’m still working my way through her many great episodes and have been thoroughly enjoying each one. Now I am on the “other side” as a new mom and I have continued to find more relevant discussions that I cannot wait to listen to. Do yourself a favor and have a listen, I think you’ll be glad you did! Thank you Deb for providing this resource for new and expectant parents. You’re AWESOME! ...and if you’re looking for pre-or-postnatal yoga, look no further! PYC is the place to be :-)

    Empowering
I just wanted to express my gratitude! Deb brings on amazing guests and addresses a variety of different topics. Even on the more medically based interviews with medical professionals, the conversation feels casual and easy to follow. I feel more prepared and empowered.

Good info but no thank you to shaming
I started to listen to gestational diabetes episode but as soon as I heard the husky clothes shaming I was disgusted and had to turn off. She back tracked and said all kids need clothes but you could hear it in her tone. No thanks.

MUST for anyone pregnant or interested in pregnancy
I have now been listening to this podcast for over two years, and I keep on being surprised but just how much I am still learning. During my first pregnancy, I dug through the archives and found so many resources that proved to be invaluable. Now pregnant with my second, I love revisiting old topics and learning about new developmemts. Deb is a great host, warm, knowledgeable, non-judgemental and always able to help her guests focus on the most relevant topics.

    In love with this podcast
Living in NY, I’ve heard so many amazing things about Prenatal Yoga Center. While I had admittedly been a bit reticent to dive into a fully remote yoga class during COVID, discovering this thoughtful, insightful, easy-to-follow, podcast with such a warm and positive host has been a tremendous help to me! I recommend this podcast to all of my pregnant friends and wish I had actually tried a class but I’m a bit too far along now! Regardless, I am so happy to have made the connection to how much I enjoy and appreciate this podcast!
  • Frustrated MS2
    Disappointed, lots of judgement
I’m a yoga teacher and an academic OBGYN (My high risk hospitals NTSV rate is <20%). I believe in patient autonomy and approaching all patients from a place of non-judgement (something that is also a central tenant of my yoga practice). Unfortunately, I think people who are part of the general population and people who do not have the financial or time resources to access a specific type of care may feel judged. There is also a lack of acknowledgement of the very specific (high intervention due to very high rate of litigation) practice pattern in NYC. Due to this I fear this podcast fosters distrust of care providers who do practice evidence based and patient centered medicine. I think there are some great podcasts out there that focus on natural birth preparation, asking questions and avoiding interventions without judgement. This is not it.

    Another perfect Y/B/B podcast!
(Spoiler alert: I am a Yoga Teacher with PYC!) I listen to every episode of Yoga/Birth/Babies, but this week’s interview with Patricia Ladis, PT on Preparing the Pelvic Floor & Core was especially exciting as this expert clinician supported so many of the dimensions of what I hope to weave into my weekly Prenatal Yoga offerings at PYC! Tune in to the show if you are pregnant now (or hope to be), a supportive partner, a new parent, or a Prenatal Yoga Teacher. I guarantee you will equally enjoy the expert advice of the guests and Deb’s warm and in-depth interview style. Ellyn Gerry, WHNP,RYT 500,RPYT

    Love this podcast!
I’m a pregnant yogi looking forward to a natural birth so this is perfect for me! I’ve been binging this podcast during my pregnancy. This is such a great resource for anyone who is pregnant or has young children. Bonus if you are into yoga but there is a lot of good info that’s not even yoga related! Great interviews!
