Vepr_157I Quit.I can’t believe I used to give Yaron Brook my money. Over the past several years, Brook and this show have gone off the rails. Brook admits that he was once a Leftist before discovering Objectivism in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and those Leftist tendencies are once again permeating through to many aspects of his belief system. What was once an educational and enlightening show that I never wanted to miss has become wrought with negativity, and Brook is quick to dismiss dissenting views, even when they are presented to him as a question he is being paid to answer and his opinion is genuinely sought. This show has also exposed the Ayn Rand Institute as being a small clique in which dissent is also swiftly dismissed. The same goes for the audience of the show, which is made up of a very small yet vocal group who also discredit disagreement. In the end, I also simply grew tired of the constant asking for money and the contribution goals for every show. If something provides a worthy value, there is no need to hound people over paying for it. I gave Yaron Brook more money before he started having a threshold for each show, and before he started having his Latin American assistants beg viewers for it. Now I give him none and only occasionally watch the show as entertainment to see what he’s upset about on a given week.

Evan StevoidBoringYou are not worth the time. I’ve given you a fair amount of time, but frankly you are boring. I’m tired of your attitude, your arrogance. I fully expect difference in opinions and arguments.

JF MTClear and clarifyingThe simple format of Yaron speaking and taking questions makes for a great, calm listen. Since finding this show, I've saved time by dropping other podcasts in the search for clarity. Yaron's temperament is not alarmist and his moral clarity is edifying.

TamewareA tour de forceI’m a podcast addict, a regular listener to sixty or so. Yaron’s is always first in my queue. You may not always agree with him, but his views are refreshingly out of the ordinary and always well-reasoned.

George_1776Impassioned appeal for reason in the context of current eventsDr Brook has gathered wisdom over multiple careers: in the military, academia, finance, and as chairman of the Ayn Rand Institute. His take on the news of the day, as well as his selection of news items to discuss, is always interesting and sometimes energizing. I highly recommend!

CS834Fantastic PodcastI’ve been listening to Yaron’s show for years. Whether you agree with him or not, he provides a phenomenal perspective on a variety of issues. Hands down, it is my favorite podcast out there.
-
CatVideosamdCurlsBetter Than Tim or RoganLogical and consistent message here. If you want a future of individual rights and capitalism, technology and prosperity, Yaron knows the way better than any other alternative commentator I’ve come across. Be ready for passionate ranting—we know that’s what you’re here for anyway.

Gnome chopperWowDr Brook is a remarkable speaker. So logical and thoughtful. His clear reasoning and honest analysis is so refreshing.

jlkjlk1Thoughtful Perspective on Current EventsYaron provides an insightful, integrated, and thought-provoking approach to current events. I also really enjoy the variety of topics and formats that show up, including the news show, interviews, and focused topic talks. Keep it up!

FastCopywriterNeeds to support the 2nd AmendmentRearden bought a gun, Yaron doesn’t think everyone should buy guns without restrictions, and he claims to be a supporter of liberty. I like the show, but I’m disappointed in some of his views. He also prefers sunny States over cold States, loves California and Austin. He sounds like a liberal, sometimes.
-
ann chickOne of My Fav shows!I listen all the time to get Yaron’s take on the latest news. And he sees in the ethics underlying today’s politics for sure!

VietSchlongExactly the same opinions as the NYTYou won’t find anything here that’s different than your standard regime talking points. Intellectual cowardice and unexamined ontologies abound.

Maiuielo“Objectivist” tainted by personal TDS hatredI’ve had this podcast in my library for years wanting to give this show a chance but after listening to his take on the first ever fbi raid on a former (and perhaps future) president’s home, the “both sides” ignorance and obligatory “Trump is an idiot” remarks are the two last straws of many. I mean, Yaron says “I try to be objective” but admits his hatred of the former President clouds his judgement. Lower taxes, rejection of altruist foreign and domestic policies, and much more, I guess are not good enough for this “objectivist.”

Crixus of Gaul fame10/10 pod for politics/morality/economics/history/philosophyExcellent mashup of current events, politics, morality, economics, history, philosophy, finance, art. Refreshing and thought-provoking POV that is often contrarian. Great Q&A and audience interaction. Yaron is incredibly knowledgeable, confident, courageous, and well-spoken. 10/10 recommend.

ObjectivistStonerTrump Derangement Syndrome and not really ObjectivistSuch a shame to see such a brilliant mind with such a powerful philosophy be infected with TDS like this. Trump is arguably one of the best American presidents this country has had in a while. The irrational bias some of these academic Objectivists have towards Trump is shocking, laughable and sad all at the same time. Seems like a lot of these Objectivists are chasing a magical dragon that doesn’t exist. Everybody they disagree with is immediately labeled a collectivist, a statist or a “fifth column Objectivist”. Ironically I guess that would also apply to Leonard Peikoff who donated to Trump’s campaign? Either way, John Galt does not exist, he will never run for office, we will never be able to vote for him and some of these people are betraying reason, Objectivism and America due to their irrational hatred of Trump.

EdiPhoneGreat show, horrible adsThe volume of the show is not nearly high enough - at max volume on my HomePods it’s much less loud than other programs. But this is no problem at all with the ads, which cut in at random times with no warning at the highest possible volume, wailing at you in the most horrible way to buy some random car, product, or service, sometimes in Spanish, bc Yaron has chosen a new tax-free Puerto Rico location.

charliethegoat12121YaronI am 14 years old and live in a very pro trump area. Your shows are a breath of fresh air and something for my dad and I to connect on. Love the show

bkcerasuoloGreat showLove Yaron's show. He is not only very principled, but extremely intelligent on so many issues. Really enjoy all the topics he tackles. Take a listen! You'll be smarter for it.
-
not blindYaron is an arrogant ignoramus who thinks he’s a geniusThis man is truly insufferable. Even worse, he’s usually wrong. The man sees himself as some sort of genius guru all while continually demonstrating his expansive ignorance time after time. It is a grueling chore to have to listen to someone who is so stupid, but who thinks he’s the smartest person in the room. And in that cartoonish accent. Goodness.

Strandy_33BeautifulListening to your conversation with Lex was the most delightful experience I’ve had with a podcast. It just so happened I was halfway through fountainhead (atlas shrugged was my first Rand book) when i stumbled across this interview. I did not know you existed! Thank you thank you thank you. Fanny AlgerWe need a heroThank you, Yaron, for the spiritual fuel your podcast provides. It helps me enjoy my commute, it gives me motivation in my work, and it provides such a relief to hear a passionate voice for reason amongst so much irrational noise. What you do is greatly appreciated.

OistEricIntellectual GuidanceThank you Yaron for your fiery passion in defending individualism! More than ever we need rational intellectual guidance to help make sense of what is going on in our country and the world.
-
mgadlAnother neocon warmongerI started to listen to this podcast hoping to hear the words of Ayn Rand, whom I admire, through Yaron Brooks. What a disappointment. We can agree on individualism and the greatness of capitalism, but Yaron is itching for war, and because Trump refuses to go to war with Iran, Russia, and North Korea, he joins the neocon warmongers like Bolton and other never-Trumpers. So his arguments for individualism sound hollow if he would send even more young men to die on these endless wars. For what? Nothing good ever comes out of these ridiculous wars which only increase the health of the state, and if anything, reduces individualism and personal rights. This is the first and last time I will listen to this guy! Too bad.
-
thicks51Theory good; social commentary less soHe is skilled at discussing theory and debating those who advocate socialism and forced altruism. His social commentary is often shallow and subject to his bias - which is fine as it’s his show but I find it annoying and prefer his shows which focus on theory or debate. The production of the podcast is very poor with consistent problems of volume, repeating ads, etc.
-
wski1000The best of ObjectivismYaron Brook is a exelent advocate for the important ideas found in Objectivism. More people should be exposed to thease ideas and this podcast is a great addition.

Greg VinceBravo! If you read Objectivist literature, or even if you don't, Yaron Brook does a fine job applying it to current events. It's a depressing job but Mr. Brook puts out an excellent product that is worth your time.
