logzbrownSurvivalist comedyListened to a dozen episodes while camping this last week. David and Ol simply understand me and my attitude about the world, and so their bickering and chattering really harmonizes with me. There are so many big problems with the state of the planet that to stop myself from crying, I've got to laugh instead, to survive. If you understand this sentiment, then listen to this podcast about important issues, heavily flavored with the laughs you need to get through the day. Yall deserve more of my money, I so appreciate your passion and determination to continue such a lovely pod <3

moi5687Humor & Hope & BabbleI love this podcast so much! The hosts have a great conversation dynamic, and the episodes with interviews have a really interesting mix of environmentalists with different specialties and perspectives. Sound editing/transitions are EXCELLENT (a big thing for me)! This podcast brings a little bit of bubbly new thinking to my week every week and is absolutely worth the listen.

Climb the Tree and Break A LegPickyI’m very, very picky with my podcasts to the point where I’m close minded. But I genuinely love this podcast, even if my 17- year-old-American self has trouble fully understanding and appreciating their knowledgeable and British rhetoric. Thanks Dave and Ol. I send my best regards if you end up reading this, and my mediocre regards if you don’t.

KNGVTNEKVery BritishAfter listening to 5 back to back episodes while driving in a snow storm in New Hampshire I think I know which is Dave and which is Ol.

ssandrajoyQuick and pretty light environmental podcastI really appreciate this podcast. It’s accessible for anyone to listen to—they explain environmental problems well for non-experts. They also do so in a way that gets across the seriousness of the topics and the importance of environmental activism without being too heavy or framing everything in a doomsday light. Definitely recommend to everyone.

Chelc330BravoThis podcast was recommended to me from a friend 2 years ago. I haven’t stopped listening since. It’s truly brilliant, funny, relatable, eye-opening, educational, etc. More people in the states need to give this a listen and get on board! Keep up the amazing work! Cheers from Green Bay, Wisconsin!

Howard (a.k.a. Garden Aum)Informative Humor…alwaysI came across this podcast after running out of episodes of a podcast on renewable energy. This was a fortuitous find because I commute long distances and would like to have information rather entertainment fill the sound space of my automobile. The production value of this podcast is really good. The podcast hosts manage to presentdepressing enviornmental news in a way that does not cause despair and motivates one to action. They also present happier news bits but, the scale of the happier bits still shows us how much work we need to do to prevent everything on the planet dying. So, if you like being alive and think the natural world should be available to future generations then this is the podcast for you. Humor, hope, planetary health...let us all share this with one another.

AsdjxkrsabspaljwxThe bestI don’t ever write review but I wanted to for this podcast, it’s simply amazing. I’ve listened to other podcasts about sustainability and issues pertaining to the environment, but this podcast is my absolute favorite! Dave and Ol tell you the facts in a comedic way— they aren’t shoving information down your gullet. I’m 18 and Instead of binge watching Netflix I binge listen to their podcast, instead of listening to music in the car I listen to their podcast. If you’re going to start listening to environmental podcasts start with this!!

JenCr8onMy favorite podcast!I love this podcast. Fantastic editing and delivery. You can tell the hosts are actual friends as their work so well together, but not in an annoying way. It moves smoothly from person to person, making a really enjoyable listening experience while being absolutely chock full of interesting, thought-provoking, and urgent information about the environment. While Dave and Ol have strong opinions, they are very open to debate and thinking from other perspectives, and that comes across well in the banter of the podcast. You are able to digest the information presented and form your own opinions or do more research later on. Their guests are always very informative and interesting, many of whom I have looked up separately. And Mini Rant - NO VOCAL FRY!! Their voices are lovely! Excellent British accents with inflection and nuance. So many (U.S.) podcasts with important information are delivered by people who I’m sure are lovely, but whose voices sound like they’re gargling broken bits of rock while seeing how far back they can shove their chins into their necks. Grating is an understatement. Thank you, Dave and Ol, for your amazing and lyrical British voices that make me smile rather than grimace.

lexxii1456Learn and laugh! This podcast for sure needs more listeners. If you want to learn about sustainability without constantly feeling overwhelmed, this is a great place to start. These guys are hilarious, yet insightful and thought-provoking. While I don’t agree with everything they say, their strong opinions help me to better form my own. I love it!

Don't have a name currentlyHands down my favorite podcast!Im a rising freshman at the University of Southern California and I plan to study environmental science and health. I love all the information I get to learn through this podcast and it’s a good laugh 🤩.

CaykenI adore this podcast.I’m currently studying sustainable business in the US, Vermont, for what it’s worth, and this podcast got me through some terribly dark times in this grad program. Thank you for doing what you do, and keep it up!

gingerRAZThank you!I appreciate you guys so much! This podcast saved me from climate change depression. It’s so wonderful how you manage to share depressing information in a way that actually makes me laugh. And also reminds me that even against increasing odds, there are people trying to change things.

ASM548Great delivery!I absolutely love the format of this podcast- thanks for taking the time to talk about important issues the world faces while still being able to be relatable and funny rather than stale and redundant. Communication is the most important aspect of change - the more we can reach out to people and keep it simple and engaging, the greater success we’ll have at coming together to stretch out our existence on this pale blue dot a little longer :)
-
Addy onGreat light listen!I love the variety of topics they bring up each episode, I’m always learning something new. I especially appreciate the laughs and jokes incorporated because it keeps such a rough topic from being too depressing . I listen to you guys on my morning drive and plan to keep doing so until I’m all caught up on episodes ! Thank you for all your hard work.

Bern the voteMy favorite friendly environmental podcastIv been listening to Dave and Ollie for he better part of a year and I love their coverage, interviews, and banter. I couldn’t imagine how my Monday’s would be without them! Cheers!

redshift13UnlistenableFar from being hilarious, this podcast is annoying. If your taste encompasses interviews interrupted with too-long movie snippets, a kind of frat boy banter, and an overall chuckling "hilarity," then perhas you've found your podcast. If on the other hand you prefer straight-up news and serious discussion, then you'll probably want to avoid this podcast.

NoelieTREXEntertaining, Self-aware EnviornmentalismMy favorite enviornmental podcast! I have laughed out loud so many times while seriously considering the issues and planning to take action. Great guests and book suggestions! Also each self-ritgeous suggestion is aware of its audience and efforts, rather than snobbishly suggesting we all wash our clothes in the river by hand as if it were no inconveience whatsoever as some other podcasts have been known to do. Two thumbs way up!

Eg4593All about the BabbleFunny and informative, the hosts feed off of one another and do a great job of showing you the bigger picture. Making a situation like climate change into humor is an art that not everyone could do. They have their serious moments, but when they’re on, I’m usually laughing out loud. I would say i’m a proud member of the Babble army and look forward to their podcast every week! long live Dave and Ol!!!

LauraHB23One of my favorite podcasts, ever.I've been listening to Sustainababble since they started back in 2015, and never got around to writing a review/commenting until now (partially since I don't have a Twitter account). Sustainabble is engaging, incredibly funny, and very well edited/formatted with different recurring segments - I like listening to it during my commute or while working on assignments. Dave and Ol are great at laying out environmental problems out very clearly and poking fun at the ridiculousness of how humans think about them, bringing some much-needed levity to this young environmentalist's life. Biting comments and terrible puns mixed with serious conversation about topics like climate change, biodiversity loss, and idiotic politicians and economists? Yes please.
-
PlanetDebBabble onBrilliant, hilarious podcast. Would love to hang with these two. But for now I'll settle for laughing along with their spot-on takes on everything from Brexit to Trump to mollusks. (Actually, Trump IS a bit of a mollusk, isn't he?) Love you guys!

AmberoooooLOVE THE BABBLEAs an american I find myself disapointed often by the lack of environmental justice, your babble helps me get through another yet Monday!

Jrob274Brings a lightheartedness to a depressing realityMy favorite environmental podcast. It actually makes me smile occasionally rather than just living in a perpetual state of despair.

Will DCEntertaining AND informativeGreat podcast - very funny presenters, and I usually come away realising I’ve learned a thing or two. Deals with tricky environmental issues in an entertaining way.
