I used to hear Sandip on my local radio station in San Francisco KALW and luckily he still has a 6 minute segment that I can hear on the radio or here by podcast. I appreciate his endless curiosity and clear eyed empathy tempered by a wonderfully sly sense of humor. The sound production is wonderful, the voices and ambient sounds takes one right there. Bravo !

India and the world by Sandip Roy
I’ve loved this podcast for about a year now. Sandip Roy is a renowned author and we are lucky to get to hear his dispatches. Every week a new story about life in India, told in English but with enough Hindi to give the audience some sense of the sound of the language. The themes of the stories are not just about India, however, but rather can be applied to the world. And the music and street noises we hear behind the voices really makes for a complete feast of a story. Thank you Mr. Roy and the staff at KALW!
