I could listen to Ashleigh all day
I love listening toAshleigh! Not only has the perfect voice to listen to on my way home from work, but she provides such amazing content. I look forward to listening to her podcasts and just bought her book “carnivorish” can’t wait to read it!

Distracted by the plethora of “and like”
Ashleigh is very good and has great knowledge of the fitness world and her solo podcasts are what I enjoy the most. Her cohost is obviously very informative but I need to set the speed 1.75 just to get past the amount of “and like” she says. She once said it 5 times in one statement. It’s very distracting.

    Great podcast, content and hosts
Really enjoy this podcast. Appreciated the conversation with Erin Powers about how we can improve our mindset to improve health by changing our approach to how we feel about ourselves as it relates to health and wellness. What really resonated was your discussion about how to navigate mindset for better health and takeaways. Very interesting! Thank you.

    Super informative!
I just found this podcast and I’m loving it! I’m getting into fueling my body well and actually eating enough & love the science behind it all. Learning lots here!

Listening to your podcast is helping me to start off in a healthier state of mind & body. Keep up the great work, and keep the episodes coming!

    BEST OF THE BEST
Best of the best right here. Love the knowledge and education that is dropped. Rachel is amazing. Keep the episodes coming.

    Great pod!
I love all the info Ashleigh and Rachel share. They are both so knowledgeable and rich in both knowledge and experience on the subjects of nutrition and exercise. My two favorite things to learn about! Love you guys!

These ladies have good things to say
But it’s a disorganized podcast with far too much extraneous talk and no overarching direction to it. Was trying to find what they had to say about bloating, listened through 8 mins of talking about sunglasses, then about being a millennial, then a shoulder injury, then some actual useful stuff about finding a good doctor (it was basic but it was actually included in the title, so I give ‘em that). Spent about 10 mins scrolling thru the 40 mins and couldn’t find anything bloating. This podcast would probably really benefit from time stamping, that way you can see how much time you spend on topics not related to the podcast topics and that your podcast doesn’t really flow.

    Missing Muscle Maven structure
I found this podcast when it was just Ashleigh hosting very interesting and informative interviews. I always left with lots of information, to-do’s and inspiration and she won me over in a space where almost everyone is surface and exhausting to watch or follow. Life happens and I get the need for the pivot but if I desperately miss the old format as I have taken away way less information than before. I only continue to listen out of respect for the past episodes and Ashleigh but when I listen now I think “where was the info”? Take us back to the days of focused topics, clear information and show your expertise as this went from a very polished podcast to sounding more junior. I want to love this podcast please update!

    Too much chitchat
They don’t even talk about what the title or notes says they’ll talk about. I tried listening to one about tricks to grow your glutes and they talked about it for maybe 5 minutes and it didn’t even necessarily tell you exactly this is an awesome way to grow your glutes! I kept listening thinking I’d learn more but ended up stopping it near the end as I got bored since i wasn’t learning what the notes said they’ll be talking about. Tr

    Every third word is ‘like’
Whatever valuable content might be there is lost behind the torrent of ‘like’s. It makes the whole podcast unlistenable.

    Good content
I just discovered this podcast and I love the content. However, I found myself getting distracted by excessive use of filler speech, especially “like” and “kind of.” It would be better to not say anything at all rather than say “like.” A tiny pause mid-sentence may feel uncomfortable for the speaker, but they are good for the listener.

Finally found it…and I love it.
I had been looking for a podcast about fitness and nutrition and had a hard time founding one that I liked. This one is geared toward women (thank you) and…real life. It’s mature, educated, experienced women talking about fitness and nutrition in life. Not just about losing weight or preparing for an event. I’ve been running through all the episodes and it has been very thought provoking to me on how I’m managing my routines. Love the input!!

    Awesome!
So educational! I pick up little nuggets of information to try in my day to day wether it’s stress management, macros, timing on working out etc. I enjoy trying out things and seeing how it makes me feel. Thanks for everything you ladies put out there!

    Love it
I have never been a huge fan of podcasts, but I’m hooked ! Love the honesty about women lifting and positive eating. Thank you

    Smart & so informative!
This podcast is like a giant first bump empowering every woman out there with knowledge bombs that are educated, but in some cases (my case) often unexpected. Loved the episode on libido and hormone health with Dr. Elly Michelle. Thank you, Muscle Maven, for sharing!

    New to this podcast.
I just want say thank you to you ladies, I work out all the time I’m always interested in learning new information, keep things interesting and fresh. I think you both keep it real! Easy to relate! Appreciate your enthusiasm, intellect! Loved your line …fitness health Ect like putting ‘pennies in the piggy-bank’. I try to tell people all the time it’s a lifestyle. I’m a nurse and I see people fall, break hips, have so many illnesses and cancer that I love and appreciate the fact that Fitness and nutrition is an investment in your LIFE!

    It’s a no for me
I subscribed to this podcast before they went through rebranding after hearing the original host on another podcast. She was engaging and smart and I thought I would really benefit from a podcast focused on women and women’s health. The show made a intentional shift to a less formal format which I thought wouldn’t be appealing but gave a shot anyways. Well, it just didn’t work for me. The last episode I listened to painted a very poor picture on the host(s) understanding on foot mechanics and health. I don’t expect everyone to be an expert on anything but I have just overall just found less and less value in this show.

Was a turn off to me when suggested in an episode.

    So informative and empowering!
Ashleigh is such an incredible wealth of information and she uses such excellent interviewing skills to bring on guests that always make me think! I love that she talks about everything from nutrition to exercise and beyond in a way that feels accessible. I’m so glad to have found her podcast and to be learning from her!

    New fan
I heard you first on Old Fashioned on Purpose, and I have loved your podcast. Your birthing experience was very very similar to mine, so that was fun to hear someone else tell a story that sounded just like mine. I’d LOVE to hear some episodes about how you are feeding your child. I have three kiddos now and forth in the way, and this is a challenge that I can’t seem to conquer yet. We live in a tough S.A.D. culture, and navigating that with kids feels particularly tough for me. I’d love to see how you are doing with that. Thank you for all you are doing, I am anxiously awaiting your first cookbook to arrive in the mail.

    Making my day
I increasingly find my brain gravitating towards the pertinent and well-presented content of your podcast. Nearly daily I circle back to golden nuggets of information from your show! I am in my last semester of a nursing masters where I am focusing my studies on women's mental and the neurobiological differences in women in psychiatric crises. When wading through the drudgery of research assignments, I find energy, motivation, and caliber from the show, especially episodes that involve reproductive hormones with Dr. Elly Michelle and Dr. Carrie Jones. I want you to know how your hard work continues to transcend academic environments as well as my personal health journey. Stay bold!
  • Redeemed wretch
    Very good
My first episode and I loved hearing about your pregnancy and birth. I look forward to going back to listen to the rest of your podcasts. I wouldn’t blame you for stopping to focus on that little sweet baby, but I’d love to hear more from you when you are ready.

    Not your typical health podcast
I love love the things that I have learned through this podcast. I got introduced to hunting a little before I discovered Ashleigh, not specifically for health reasons, but that was my driving factor. When I started listening to her and heard about her passion for organ meats and how incredibly Nutritious they are I felt even more motivation to keep learning and doing it. I love that her podcast is not the typical health and fitness. They talk about the things that matter and dig deep!! Thanks for everything Ashleigh!

    50th Episode with Robb Wolf
This was such a refreshing and honest episode. I have been listening to Ashleigh since Paleo Magazine Radio and she has always provided very meaningful and insightful, but most of all useful information. But this episode was very different. A discourse in differences in opinion. There were many lessons that can be learned from this episode, but most of all, how to listen and learn from one another, even if we disagree with them. This episode was just what I needed to hear in these strange times!

    Robb Wolf episode 50
Such a great listen!! You and Robb discuss topics so openly and your chemistry is awesome. Thanks for being so outspoken… keep up the hard work as it’s much appreciated!!!!
  • Brand new 1L
Ashleigh + Robb Wolf = nuanced common sense
This episode was amazing! I love Robb’s statement that “science is never settled.” I’m one of the mostly silent folks that doesn’t speak out but very much appreciates discussion and being able to have conversations with people I don’t necessarily agree with but can see where they are coming from. We live in the gray, not black and white.

Wealth of knowledge and keeps it real
One of my favorite podcasts! Ashleigh has so much knowledge to share, always has great guests and especially love the episodes with Rachel Gregory. You keep it real and make me laugh all while continuing to learn about how I can optimize my health and build some muscles!! 💪🏼 Keep up the great work and sharing if all of your favorite products as well!!

    The best
Ashleigh is an intelligent, well rounded, experienced fitness professional. She breaks thing down into easy listening, interesting shows that offer tons of good information. It doesn’t hurt that she’s a smoke show on top of it all 😉

    My new favorite podcast
I listened to Ashleigh giving an interview on another podcast and knew immediately that she was my kinda people! I subscribed that day and caught up on her podcast. What I love is her transparency and candor about the health and wellness environment, she’s not pushing any agenda, she simply wants to get us the best information; her humor and kindness; and her guests, who are super informative and enjoyable. Ashleigh truly feels like you’re listening to one of your girlfriends or gym buddies giving you a pep talk which is exactly what I have needed this year!

Always look forward to Tuesday’s !
I always look forward to Tuesday’s so that I can listen to each new episode 🔥 Ash has inspired me to add more organ meats into my lifestyle and I never have felt better. Her cookbook is also a necessity !

    Motivating and informative
I started taking better care of my body and my health through Crossfit about 6 years ago. Since then, I have been adding daily habits, and information to keep my overall health moving in a positive direction. I liked listening to Ashley when she hosted the Paleo magazine podcast, and have liked the transition she made to Muscle Maven Radio. Her podcast provides substantive insight into general health, muscle building, nutrition and more. I listen to the podcast in my car, or on a long walk after work. It’s a nice way to get away from the daily stresses of this crazy year and learn about how to better take care of myself. I am really loving the new episodes that Ashley does with Rachel Gregory! You are both incredible!

I like this podcast because I feel Ashleigh enjoys what she learns, she asks and answers a lot of the questions I have in my head when I listen to the podcast. Enjoy this organ eating Ashleigh podcast!!

    Love this podcast!!
I just love Ashleigh and her podcasts!! I first heard her on Ben Pakulski’s pod and I could relate to so much of the information she put out. So once I found out she had her own podcast, I HAD to start listening and I love every minute! I knew she was even more awesome we she sent a direct message to assist me with some things I was working on for my diet!! She is an Incredible all across the board!! Keep up the awesome work!!

I love this platform and how open it is!
I started listening to Ashleigh when this podcast was the Paleo Magazine Podcast and have loved the transition to the Muscle Maven Radio podcast! You can tell that Ashleigh is an authentic person who just wants to help people optimize their health in the best way possible for them. I also love how bold she is in the things she pursues like eating organ meats, doing body building competitions and even buying her own podcast from a major magazine company! She inspires me to be better and do right by my body, both physically and mentally.

    Ashleigh rocks!
I look forward to each week’s podcast from Ashleigh to hear the latest takes on nutrition, health, workout techniques and recipes. I listened to her since her days with Paleo Magazine and she continues to entertain and educate with a fresh and vibrant approach. I was hooked from my very first listen!

    Gaining confidence with every listen
This podcast is more than a learning opportunity (which it is absolutely chalk full of learning opportunities) for me it’s also about growth and confidence. Ashleigh is unapologetic in advocating for all of her listeners to appreciate where they are and grow where you’re planted. The lessons in building your better body through muscle growth and nutrition culminate in feel good about yourself and what you can do every time. Cannot recommend the podcast enough.

    Amazing!
Came here because of Anya Fernalds episode, but now I’m obsessed! So informative and interesting! Love! Hormonal health, women in hunting, organ meats, regenerative farming. It’s perfect.

    So so so good!
I follow Ashleigh on Instagram and get her newsletters as well. I’ve also heard her as a guest on other podcasts and such so this is a total win-win! I’m totally fan girl(ing) right now but stay with me! Take a podcast that covers all kinds of health and fitness topics (think mental, physical, internal, supplements, nutrition, etc)for a plethora of people, throw in some very knowledgeable guests, add some good energy with a dash or two or three of humor and you get The Muscle Maven podcast. I also want to note that Ashleigh, herself brings a lot of knowledge and curiosities as a host so it’s great to hear her a) ask questions that you’re thinking of as you’re listening and b.) ensure that listeners get the most thorough explanation in layman’s terms. She’s sarcastic, funny and humble (at least from what I can hear and read). Love, love!

    Really useful info, fantastic guests
I’ve been a fan of Ashleigh’s since she hosted Paleo Magazine Radio, and am so excited to see where she takes Muscle Maven Radio. She finds really interesting, smart guests and asks the best questions—she weaves in her own personal experience sometimes, which makes the conversation feel so practical and relevant. I also love that she isn’t afraid to bring people on whose opinions differ from hers and really explore the differences in an open-minded way. I love her unabashed curiosity. Ashleigh is an absolute pro. The first episode of MMR was fantastic and I can’t wait for more.

    My goto podcast for nutrition
I used to goto Crossfit NYC with AVH before she became a world famous podcaster. Now I listen to quite a few of her podcasts for my up to date nutrition. Thanks AVH for keeping me informed on all the newest and coolest nutritional informational.

Super stoked to see what Ashleigh dives into next!
Ashleigh is a beast - in the gym and on the radio. Always asking the tough questions, being honest and searching for health answers that can benefit everyone. I loved listening to her Q&A’s with Ben Pakulski so I knew I’d love what she’d put together on her own Muscle Maven Radio Podcast! This first episode goes deep into hormones - and not just the same old hormones we always hear about! So much new content for me and ideas to mull over. SUBSCRIBE to this one because you’re not going to want to miss it!

    Wonderful Information
I attended a challenge with Ashleigh and one other leading the way. They were so supportive and offered some great advice. I picked up her podcast from there and it certainly delivered! I continue to welcome healthy eating and fitness into my lifestyle through the information I listen to here
