D-Day: The Tide Turns

1944. Europe is in the grip of the Nazi war machine. But on the shores of Great Britain, thousands of men and women are planning the great fightback. On the beaches, in the skies, out at sea and behind enemy lines... What will it take to turn the tide of the war?

In commemoration of the 80th anniversary, D-Day: The Tide Turns follows the real people involved in the Normandy Landings.

Hosted by Paul McGann. New episodes Thursdays.

Absolutely fantastic podcast. I’m so glad I stumbled across it and can’t wait for each episode every week. Well researched, and told with passion. It listens like a story being told and less like a history lesson

    Outstanding in every way
If you love the great BBC series, The World at War, narrated by Olivier, this will send chills up your spine. Extremely well written, they chose a great narrator in the style of Olivier. The production and sound design supports the story, it doesn’t show off or stand out. Interesting stories. Well-crafted. Superb. I hope this creative and production team continues through other phases of WWII—or any war or conflict.

    Outstanding Job of Telling History!
Thank you for highlighting the incredibly brave and heroic men who took part in the D-Day invasion. These men are the reason I fly our American flag in the front of our home. These men and their courage to take down evil are the reason I am proud to be an American. And all the countless other men and women who have faithfully served in our military to protect and defend our freedom and keep many evil regimes at bay over centuries. Of course American isn’t perfect, but we are the best nation on earth, in large part due to these brave souls. Thank you to all our current military members serving us today! 🇺🇸

    This podcast ruins everything
Because once you’ve listened to it, everything else just sounds subpar. I’m so sorry that I stumbled upon it. No. Seriously one of the best there is. Very grateful to everyone who worked on this. Masterful story telling.

    Outstanding
By far one of the best story tellers I’ve heard. Draws you in to where you can almost picture being right there in the thick of it.
