I get the criticism that unlike Jack, Jamel doesn't heavily challenge or police Brandon, but BJS was never supposed to be that vibe. This is a hang-out sesh between two longtime friends and coworkers who have each other's back and boost each other up. They have fun recording it and you will have fun listening.

I am a former stripper turned respectable married woman of God. 38 years old. I love this show so much. I am not the target audience, and yet they have really ground their way into my heart. I can’t stay away. Brandon and Jamel have a chemistry that tickles me. I’m joining the Patreon.

This podcast is impressively unfunny. Hosts are surface level, petty people with the most washed out twitter front page humor. Who is this supposed to be for? This is way too dumb and low level for underground comedy fans, and not in a good way like SpongeBob, but too topically modern and gen-z lingo heavy for traditional comedy heads. Doesn’t satisfy the itch for alt comedy enjoyers either…. You can tell that these guys both bombed their SNL auditions, but they’re probably seen as “the little brothers” (in their 30’s) so they kind of just let them hang around the set. If you like hearing two guys in their 30’s talk about stuff they saw on Instagram, how much they spent on sushi at Coachella, or how Killer Mike is fire, you’ve come to the right place

Jamel is simply just not funny Brandon is also not funny but it’s less obvious. Big thing these days is guys just laughing really loud at their own bad jokes.

But it’s been almost a year and somehow the audio quality and editing just keep getting worse?? Almost every guest was on Wardell’s previous podcast and the conversations here feel like the same ideas regurgitated with somehow less coherency from Wardell. I unsubscribed from their Patreon months ago and hoped to rejoin when they got it together, but nothing has changed, and if anything has, it’s they they seem to be making even less of an effort.
