Minardi1Love, hope, truth, voiceA fantastic partnership between CMarie’s incredible words and the sound recordings that bring them even more fully to life. I smiled, I laughed, I cried, but also found hope, truth, advocacy for ecology and Nature in her own diverse glory. I’m very much looking forward to the next season!

ACinthe303Meditation PersonifiedWhat a wonderful meditative podcast. In a world that is filled with too much, too combative, too loud and exhausting, this show is a balm for the heart and mind. Amazing work by all involved - thank you!

Sal JacksonKennynMaineNPR Delicious Dish with Dusty Muffin .. much ? I think the intonation of the reader is hard to follow with all the ups and downs in her voice. Borderline comedy the narrative wasn’t so boring

shari jenksMoment of ReflectionI love this podcast. It has a way of commanding a Pause…a quiet moment in a busy mind. A thoughtful reflection comes from the monologue accompanying the peaceful sounds of the wilds. With a specific geographic location to transport you right there. It just makes my heart feel full. ❤️🏞️

Volcanoman71TransformativeI am recentered by the soothing sounds of Terra Firma. So soothing…

Alpine soulFeeds my soulRecordings of my Western land and water scapes carry me away from pavement, sidewalks, over-tended or abandoned landscaping of town and into increasingly hard to find quiet natural spaces. CMarie’s essays and readings fully engage my imagination and surprise me with new and engaging ideas. Colorado Public Radio and the producers are on to something! Thanks to all who make this luminous experience possible.

GFSequoiaAn Outstanding PodcastCMarie Fuhrman illuminates the soundscape of each natural place she visits with her poetic and thought-provoking essays that reveal something unexpected and enjoyable. Listening to the sounds of nature and essay about them is a rare delight.

eamillikinSounds like what a hike feels likeI love this podcast. It sounds like what going into the mountains feels like. Especially on those weeks when I am sick or stuck in the office, Terra Firma is like a lifeline to where I want to be.

CarrieEmpoweredLovely Nature and Reverence Infused PodcastTerra Firma is like a retreat into connection with the beauty of the wild as well as a nourishing of the inner world we cultivate through nature. So glad to have this podcast in my days.

Grateful in Great LakesMore soundscape, pleaseThe field recordings alone, without the narrated observations, would be more nourishing. Despite what she may say with her words, it feels like the narrator is impatient with the quiet beauty of the natural world, and is drawing attention to herself, making the podcast chatty, mundane, and small, instead of awe provoking. She could say more by saying less, by giving more of the stage to the grand, gentle sounds of her environment, which is well able to communicate with us directly.

Aster GriffinsSerenityThis podcast is beautifully crafted and filled with happiness. It is an excellent way to decompress after a busy day. Cannot recommend enough.

Door InnkeeperMy new favoriteGrowing up in Idaho, so many of the places recorded and spoken about are in my blood. Nature, its sounds and seasons, are my spiritual home. The stories, poems, memories, and reflections she shares with sounds of water, wind, creatures, and more as the backdrop fill me up, get me through the day and night. I’m binge listening now, and the more I listen the more I crave. Thank you for this incredible show! ❤️

Xo Spooky JMoved to tearsI’ve been listening to this on my work break for 2 weeks now. It is so lovely and atmospheric, it takes me out of the busy mindset. It allows me to breathe and remember to engage more deeply with nature. Eyes of Ancestors not only relaxed my nervous system but had such a powerful message, as an indigenous person I found myself choked up with tears. Beautiful work, will definitely recommend to anyone.
-
Okay Linda KNice Nature BreakI like this podcast, as it has beautiful settings and sounds of nature, and a narrator with a distinct soothing voice. I especially enjoy it, as I am an older listener and cannot get out into nature as often as I would like. Episodes are short and handy for a break whenever I need one.

rupert deguzPeace, love and natureI fell in love with the first episode. Instant calm and centering for peace. I love to have them on for my hour long commute. Furmans essays take me to great places of my past: Canada, Idaho. A longing is growing inside of me to return. I wish the essays/episodes were longer. I get so down when they begin to wrap up. I’m listening to my third go around. Season two?
-
SugarNFeistI’m hookedI listened to episode 1 and just felt all the feels: relaxed because of the nature sounds, engaged bc the podcasters voice is like honey and easy to follow, relatable as I’m currently living in Colorado not far from RMNP, homesick as we have elk that roam the woods of my western NC home and their song makes me smile, and lastly I felt the pain you felt taking the Elk’s life. I feel like I can relate to this episode and it makes me even more excited to see what’s to come. You’ve got a lifer in me 💯
