JaSaltyMcKremitSaved My LifeThere aren’t words for how thankful I am for Joe. I don’t know if I would be Catholic if it wasn’t for him. I’d probably still be an incredibly heretical Protestant. Thank you so much for being accurate, concise, intelligent, honest, and charitable in your content. Your work has been the most influential in my conversion out of any.

The thick thomisticThe bestJoe is one of the best Catholic apologist if not the best. Highly recommend this podcast. Please for your sake take 20min a day to listen to this podcast.

SCU Alum89A Must Listen!Joe goes in depth on a number of topics important to the faith of Catholics and Protestants, doing so with charity and humor. I look forward to his two new episodes each week. I recommend all people who are interested in learning the truth of the faith subscribe to Joe’s podcast.

EmmadelynConsistent, Informative, Great PodcastI am constantly impressed with the wealth of knowledge within this podcast. Great delivery, well researched and no rambly chit chat. Thank you!

SleepDeprivedSoulArise sleeperAs a Protestant who never had much experience with Catholicism growing up, Joe has been invaluable in steeling-manning the Catholic faith, and doctrine. My prayers go out to him and those like him who “Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15

ROMANS 1:16-17Great Podcast!I learn so much from this podcast, Joe does a great job answering all the hard questions I have about Catholicism in a matter of fact easy to understand way. Keep up the good work!

Justme416Thank you for the Mike Gendron RebuttalI’m so glad you quickly responded to Mike Gendron’s appearance on Allie Beth Stuckey’s podcast. I was so upset after listening to it because it felt so intellectually dishonest and she just ate it all up. Who knows how many people that episode mislead about we truly believe as Catholics. Thank you for your reasonably explained rebuttal of his claims (which I also found in your YouTube video from a year ago). I hope you can debate ABS someday!

Dave R the VikingAnother Catholic Colonel :)Great way to explain the Faith. Thank you Joe

Catholic Colonel#19 An Evil (and Good) View of the CrossThis episode is fantastic. I’m the lone Catholic in a Bible Study with lifelong committed Protestants and it will enable me to present our position in a clear and convincing manner. It will also help in my Inquiry class. I strongly recommend this for any Catholic to better understand what we believe about the Cross.
-
RestoretomeTrue and goodWell done Joe!! Thank you for helping us learn (more about) and defend the Catholic faith. 💯🙌🏻🙏🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥

KongKarlsDeliveryLike the content but it’s getting too “sing-songy” in the delivery. It’s akin to every sentence sounding like a question.
-
Ezl2117Too fewI made the mistake of listening to them all quickly, and now I have to wait until Thursday every week. Fantastic. Wish there were a thousand! :)
-
TttommmasssInformational, linked it all togetherI just listened to my first podcast on a new argument for the Saints. I got the letter informing me Catholic answers has other shows. It was great. I never heard these three examples explained like this. I will check out some more episodes for sure. Thank you for explaining the faith!!!!

rosy_bagel_bodegaThe elegant and measured stance of this podcast is admirableI’m a physician scientist whose clinical and research pertains to neuroscience and neuropsychiatric illness. I feel myself a humble learner of this podcast. It inspires me to deeply think about human existence, the way we develop our understanding about our internal states and external stimuli... It is so true that if one understands science from a first-principle approach, God will be awe-inspiring, endearing, and necessary to them.

58ricForward to TrentGreat argument to give to Allie Beth Stuckey who was just talk to Trent Horn about this subject.
-
Tonka&rexoEye openingOne of the best things about this show is how sensitive Joe is to the Protestant mindset of sola scriptura. He is always using the scriptures to defend Catholic doctrine which is HUGE for those who use scripture as the highest authority. Thanks Joe. You’ve helped to open my eyes to a lot.

One millionth reviewerThank you so much!Your podcast and your book, The Early Church Was the Catholic Church, have been so helpful to me on my journey to the Catholic Church. I was confirmed this last November, after finding the Patristic Fathers and thereafter, three years of study, discovery, and lots of time on my knees. With my fundamentalist background, Mary has been my most difficult obstacle. I made a decision to believe what the Church taught about Mary, but I have still struggled with my feelings. This episode and the last have been so helpful to me in this regard. I feel such peace and believe that now I can fully accept Mary as my spiritual Mother. Thank you for all the work you put into your podcast and books. It has been a gift on my journey.
-
sclb71Love it!Joe, I absolutely love your podcast! Keep it up!
-
kmjpmcWay to go Joe!Joe’s journey through seminary AND law school has equipped his well to explain and defend anything about our Catholic faith! Raul R JrClear and easy to followI just started listening to Joe, but it has been a great experience. I have enjoyed how personable he speaks but also how clear and easy he makes the scriptures. Thank you.
-
Kcqt22Thank you!Thank you so much for doing episode #56: Was Mary an Unwed Mother. I have heard so many people talk about Mary being unwed,( even faithful Catholics!!) and I just want to jump to Mary’s defense every time. I’ve already forwarded this episode to my friend who we teach 7th grade catechism classes. I love all your stuff!
-
Tom from TXInspiredJust finished listening to the 5th episode defending the existence of God using the late Pope Benedict’s reflections on this topic. Thanks, Joe, for this thoughtful & insightful series. Keep up the great apologetics!
-
seeker11177Know it all?Does Joe know everything about religious history, theology and law? Well, maybe not but he knows a dang lot! He is also a master punster but you’ll have to catch him on Catholic Answers Live to hear those gems. Thank you Joe for disseminating to us your accumulated knowledge in such a captivating and charitable manner.

russell bronsonBest Podcast Ever?Joe Heschmeyer you are truly amazing!
-
jillizbiziA+ ApologeticsJoe Heschmeyer is becoming my go-to Catholic Apologist. I listen to and love many apologists, especially those from Catholic Answers, but I find Joe’s style to be especially winsome and charitable. I am also able to absorb the information he presents and feel better equipped to share that information with others if the occasion presents itself. I also really like the topics of his podcasts, and they seem to be well timed in when they appear in my life. I love the episode about Pro-Life Environmentalism. His series on LDS was so interesting and factual. I hope he will also do a series on SDA, JW, and New Age. These are groups that I often encounter that are actually anxious to have a dialogue about their beliefs. I will be adding his books to my Catholic library soon. May God bless Joe and this podcast.
-
Agoo87Excellence!I love this podcast. Joe is one of my favorite apologists and I can listen to him speak about The Church all day. Very knowledgeable, and helped me understand my faith so much more.
-
GamesRFun MeMeMeGreat Apologetics with CharityGreat podcast! Discusses issues with clarity and charity. I’ve really been enjoying the series on Mormonism!
-
GreylanceThanks, Joe.Joe, Thank you for this podcast and your other apologetics. You and the other contributors at Catholic Answers (Trent, Cy, Michael Lofton, and all the others) were instrumental in my family’s conversion to Catholicism. I was in a dark, confused place in my life before I joined the Church. Your efforts and the efforts of the Catholic Answers team opened the door for the light to come in. I want you to know that, if nothing else, your witness made a difference for me. Best, Tolley

House of Wolves 86Joe is the best Catholic apologist with a podcast nowadays.Joe is great and he’s a very learned man who is a Protestant’s worst nightmare, because he knows Scripture like the back of his hand and his research repeatedly condemns the heresies and blatant lies of modern day Protestants and their fast-growing lies thanks to the TikTok era/viral world we exist in. It’s refreshing to listen to a Catholic show that references the Bible every episode! Every Catholic needs to hear this show. I gotta hand it to Joe for going into the trenches and pulling up the Protestant filth to rebuke it and expertly as well. The heresies and arrogance of some of these Protestant speakers is infuriating, so Lord, please don’t let me hate these misguided people….but huge respect to Joe for tackling these issues on his show. I’d be sponsored by Evan Williams whiskey if I had to expose myself to this much Protestant content to refute. God Bless this great Catholic voice!
-
the_other_blobfishHey Joe!If you or (anyone from CA) are reading this, the transcriptions of the lectures in this podcast would make a great apologetics book! Awesome content: deep, yet simple and engaging.
-
Nurse TraceyFascinating and InformativeI first heard Joe Heschmeyer on Pints with Aquinas and read his book Pope Peter. Then I discovered this podcast and I’ve already listened to a couple of episodes with rapt attention. I love when good teachers are able to open my eyes to the deeper meanings hidden in Sacred Scripture. I highly recommend this podcast to everyone who wants to grow in their faith!
-
Shane RiterApproachable ApologeticsShameless Popery presents apologetics in very approachable ways! I never feel as if Joe is talking “above” my head or “down” to me. I’ve learned a lot from this podcast and look forward to where it’s going in the future!

John E. QuestVery approachable apologists.Joe’s depth of knowledge is amazing, but at the same time very approachable. He has such a down to earth manner, which makes his apologetics so understandable. I enjoy him on Catholic Answers Live, and I’m ecstatic that he has his own podcast!!
-
paperjerry de san antonioA podcast? A whole treaty! This is not a podcast… it’s a course, or a set of lessons on Church History! Five stars are few to qualify this podcast. And the best thing is that, at the end, Joe closes each episode with a bang. Congratulations Joe, keep on going!
-
sappdieselLazy and shallow Theology come to die here.If you’re seeking Truth with a capital “T” Joe will help you find it. No logical incoherence or straw-manning - holy shamelessness; Joe Heschmeyer goes hard in the paint and finishes with AUTHORITY. I am grateful to be formed by a man who is unashamedly an Apostle. Never lower the bar, Joe!!!! Demand excellence of yourself and continue forming those who listen in the Truth.
-
DStotts777Best Catholic podcast period.I’ve listened to Joe since his days at “The Catholic Podcast” and he quickly became my favorite Catholic apologist. It’s not just his knowledge, but it’s his way expressing it that is so convincing. He’s gracious and never straw mans the other side. I’m glad to say Joe is even better in the Shameless Popery podcast.
-
GloemeisterJoe Nails It!Joe nails this topic! Very useful and informative material packed into a short podcast. Looking forward to the next release. Thank you Joe!
-
Student14850Well-informed and gracious apologeticsI love how Joe steel mans the Protestant positions before critiquing them. I only wish this was on YouTube as well for bigger reach!
-
The i'mThe poets are mysteriously silent regarding potpourriThis podcast is heaven scent! I have a shameless love for potpourri as well. Will Joe share his favorite variety in the first episode? I can barely handle the suspense. Either way I’m certain it will be full of flowery language.
