Solving JFK

History #215

Solving JFK examines each issue in the JFK Assassination by looking at the arguments from both those who believe Oswald acted alone and those who believe there was a conspiracy to kill president Kennedy. Host Matt Crumpton analyzes each tree in the forest and then zooms out to look at the big picture. Objective truth is the paramount goal of the podcast, with every factual proposition cited. In season one, we look at whether the Warren Report got it right that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin, and if not, what the open questions are that still need to be resolved.

    Good content / slow delivery
I’d recommend listening at 1.75 speed. The delivery is so slow that 1.75 will sound normal. Great content though.

    Editing
Please edit out your guest’s verbal tics. It’s too distracting to hear “okay” and “alright” every other word

    Chill out a little
I would enjoy listening to this podcast if the host wasn’t practically yelling in his delivery. It’s too much for me and is unnecessary. Matt, you don’t have to speak so forcefully. You’re speaking into a microphone, not orating live in front of a crowd. The content is good and people will still listen intently if you were to take it down a couple of notches.

    The best JFK podcast!
Matt brings new information every episode, always keeps it unbiased and has intelligent resources join his show for rebuttals. Well done!

    Rabbit hole
I’ve been going down the JFK assassination rabbit hole along with everyone else, and appreciate the clarity and organization of this podcast. I binged season one and anxious to get to season two, probably on my drive to Dallas to see the sites for myself.

    Thorough and Fair
Really enjoying this podcast. Through the first dozen episodes, I would say Matt is doing a great job of presenting a wealth of research, and weighing the controversial evidence against the Warren Commission position. As a lawyer, I really appreciate the balance and the depth of analysis.

    Stop the Accent!
Great podcast. So much detail and well organized and presented. With that being said: I am begging you to stop randomly trotting out your southern accent. It’s terrible. It’s distracting. It adds nothing. It detracts much. Please stop it.

    Pick it up
First season was very good - second season too slow - too many ads - too short - too little relevant info - is it really important to know where Oswald went to grade school? If so why ?

    Bravo!
Amazing detail. I am mesmerized and can’t stop listening. I really appreciate the host given both sides of the argument. I get tired of podcasts that ignore what does not fit their narrative.

    Great Podcast, Great Host!
I’ve really enjoyed Matt’s deep dive into this incredibly complex subject, but the way he has broken it down makes really compelling. I’ve enjoyed Rob Reiner’s podcast as well, but it really just scratches the surface compared to where Matt delves in. The segments on Officer Tippet are a great example of how Matt pulls apart all the strands and highlights the glaring incongruities in the official report. Well done sir!

Standout podcast that dives deep into the intricacies of one of history’s most enigmatic events
Solving JFK,” hosted by Matt Crumpton, is a standout podcast that dives deep into the intricacies of one of history’s most enigmatic events. What sets this podcast apart is its impeccable research and the unbiased, articulate presentation of facts and theories from both sides of the spectrum. Matt’s ability to weave complex historical narratives into engaging, thought-provoking episodes is exceptional. Each episode feels like a journey through the annals of history, shedding new light on the JFK assassination in ways that are both insightful and respectful. The storytelling is enriched by an original music score that is, without exaggeration, the best I’ve ever encountered in a podcast. The compositions are not only top-notch but also complement the tone and mood of the narrative perfectly. For anyone interested in history, especially the intricacies surrounding the JFK assassination, “Solving JFK” is a must-listen. It’s a rare gem that balances academic rigor with captivating storytelling. Kudos to Matt Crumpton for creating such an enlightening and enjoyable listening experience.

    Intriguing and Balanced
An excellent podcast about the JFK assassination which is investigatory in it’s approach as opposed to pushing conspiracy vs. Warren Commission findings. The podcast offers a fresh eyes approach of the available evidence.

    Waste of time
Unlistenable because of the mind numbing ads.

    Great JFK podcast!!!!
I haven’t read or spent time in the JFK assassination in many years. Since I found this podcast I have reopened that rabbit hole! I have started with the first podcast and have listened to the most current. This is definitely my favorite JFK podcast!!

    Excellent podcast lots of detail
The narrator goes through each episode with a methodical detailed approach, and points out both sides of arguments where there are disputes. Have really enjoyed listening from the beginning. He does accents too, some better than others...

    Must Listen for Citizen Researchers
But I didn’t know there were ANY defenders of the Warren Commission at all. What’s clear no matter what: we have been lied to by our agencies. Seriously- all the assassinations 1963, 1968- so suspicious

    Good show
Good information and well researched. The host definitely has a bias against the warren report but its not overwhelming. The one thing that bothers me is the music interstitials, them seem random and don’t fit the theme.

Fantastic but not as balanced as host says.
Fantastic podcast and a must listen for any JFK assassination buff. Professional production quality. Excellent writing and dialogue. Hits all the issues. As much as the host tries to say he’s taking a balanced approach (which he does in many ways, to be sure), he leans too often on the side of conspiracy, in my opinion. He admits as much in the first episode (if I recall). As is so often with JFK conspiracists, the host is long on questions and “what ifs” and poking (creating) holes and finding nefariousness, but is very short (if non-existent) on explanations of the who, what, when, how, and why for the conspiracy du jour. Even in the “rebuttal” episodes, I don’t think the host gives the Oswald-acted-alone explanation a truly fair shake. This podcast would do well to bring on the likes of Gerald Posner, or those like him, to adequately rebut any conspiratorial leanings. Having said that, the whole podcast is very much worth a listen! I am a fan and will continue to listen. One thing that would be very nice is to have YouTube versions of the episodes with images, diagrams, video of the host, etc.

Enjoying this concise reporting. Well done episode featuring brief interviews at 60th conference. Keep it up.

Time to go down the rabbit hole!
Matt has done a great job with his research and organizing each podcast. Each episode is so detailed about the facts as we know them today about the JFK assassination. A must listen for any history buff or true crime fan! Looking forward for season 2.
  • jt from cary
    Fair and fascinating
The podcast tries to look at all sides, weighing evidence carefully and discussing possible problems. For this reason, the podcast had credibility, the basis of real interest.
  • Lionel093
Basically a super long YouTube comment.
Questions a ton of stuff that is already answered, lends way too much credence to bare eyewitness testimony when it supports he wants to lend credence to.
  • Zappatista123
    Ignorant
The premise of the podcast is interesting: someone without a strong point of view going through the facts and competing theories of the assassination. The problem, though, is that the host seems to be incredibly gullible and not very good at digging into information before presenting it. Out the gate, his lack of basic digging into the Yates story (which is easily discredited) shows he’s the wrong person to be looking into any of this. This sort of superficial research permeates the podcast.

    Outstanding!
Very thorough, no b.s., and no commercials. What more could a listener ask for?
  • Lizzylizard143
    Love this Podcast!!❤️
I can’t stop listening to this. I love how the facts, as well as the source, is brought out. You can do your own digging! I have been studying this issue for years and there is constantly new info brought to life! Please keep going……looking forward to more!!

    Deep Dive!
Great Podcast!! I love how Matt takes a very unbiased approach and looks at available evidence. I find myself looking forward to all the new episodes and I’ve been listening to all the previous podcasts. Keep um coming! Aloha 🤙🏼

    Great Show
The show is easy to follow and gives a fresh perspective on the whole case.

    Excellent Podcast
Solving JFK does a terrific job laying out all of the facts and inconsistencies in the accepted story of the assassination. Despite a huge amount of detail, every episode is very clear and entertaining. The host presents the facts in an unbiased manner and then let’s the listener decide what to make of each situation related to the assassination. Highly recommended.

    Clear and Concise
Hi! I love Solving JFK. I had learn a little bit about the assassination growing up, but Solvong JFK goes above and beyond. The detail, the way he explains everything clearly and in terms the listener can understand, it makes it so much easier. I was never one for podcasts, but I’m hooked! Keep doing your thing and solve away 💪

    Top Knotch JFK Assassination Podcast
I may be slightly biased but I think Matt has laid out the major issues in the JFK case in a fair and objective way. Love the music too!

Déjà vu - FBI + Anything = Lies
If you questioned Oswald’s innocence due to the FBI and or the Warren Commission, all you have to do is look at anything in regard to Jan 6th and the Russian HOAX! They both were doing EXACTLY what they are doing today! Oswald was 100% innocent and if you don’t believe that now, after ALL the lies of Chris Wray, biden, fauci, the DOJ, FDA, CDC, and all the branches of the military “brass”, NIH, EPA, congress and any alphabet agency then you are delusional…full stop!!

    LOVE this podcast!!!!
I’m a new listener and I have just finished listening to all the currently available episodes. I am impressed with the approach to the subject and the analysis of all theories pertinent to the assassination. It’s long been a chapter of American history that I have found fascinating. I have a new favorite podcast. I look forward to descending further into the rabbit hole. I have recommended this podcast to 2 friends already and will keep on recommending it to anyone and everyone.

The JFK Assassination podcast I’ve been waiting for!
Very happy to have found this podcast so close to its start. As someone who has researched the JFK assassination since the early 1980’s, I’ve been hoping something like it would come around. It covers the complexities that will interest veteran researchers, but breaks them down in understandable ways so people new to the subject will be able to follow. Very much looking forward to them discussing people like Allen Dulles and some of the other CIA leadership who were loyal to him after he was fired by JFK post-Bay Of Pigs (Helms, etc.), whom my own research always brings me back to. Keep up the great work!

    The GOAT JFK Pod
Matt has delivered the most thorough look at one of the nations biggest historical mysteries. The directorial approach and ease to which he relays the content is world class - also, can we mention the theme song? Jerry from OAR knocked it out of the park (Grassy Knoll)
  • TraxlerTees
    My new favorite
I’ve been hooked on James and Jimmy for last year (STM and CIS) - then Matt creeped into my feed on other social media and I gave it a listen. I’m hooked now on this. The cadence is great and I grew comfortable to his narration quickly. Give it a listen, 5 stars, and what really matters, a quick review. ✌️

    Great JFK Podcast!
I have listened to a few other podcasts about JFK, but they are usually just one or two episodes and not a dedicated podcast like this one. This guy is gonna have a lot of work to do, but if he can really compare lone nutters to conspiracy arguments for each issue, this will be a hugely valuable and educational podcast. Love the theme song too! I think its the guy from oar.
