MorningListener23You never know what you’ve got ‘till it’s gone…Truly missing this podcast. Sadly where else go to for concise and informative reporting of defense/national security news! It was great old fashioned briefs-style journalism. Just what every morning needed!

ICCABOD THE CATWhat happened?I usually start my day with this podcast. How come there hasn’t been one recently?
-
SABKDBEnding?Hate that y’all are stopping the podcast. It was part of my daily morning routine.

RJ98743Don’t stopThank you for providing the defense news! It’s a great way to start the day until I can get to the email or on most days, don’t have time to get to the email. Please don’t stop the EBB podcast. Thank you.

LelandJSad to see it goI found you guys not long ago, and I really enjoyed how your coverage focused on DoD stories and how other national (and international) events affected defense policy. Heard the notice at the beginning of today’s episode (Mar 28, 2024) that the podcast is shutting down. I’ll miss listening to you during my morning prep time.

Kriswell1Why are you stopping the show??As a retired vet and current government employee, this is how I start my morning. Every morning this is my constant. Please reconsider.

3rd Country ParentsAppreciate the concise, neutral reportingI appreciate how concise the reporting is. I use this podcast to flag stories I would not otherwise hear about. I appreciate the improvements they’ve made with the sound engineering. Someone please sponsor this podcast!!

The Real Zen BoySolid non-partisan reportingBeen listening for a while now, and the pod has definitely moved up the stack. It has even replaced some more tradition news agency’s podcasts. I like the concise defense-focused stories. But they also have a segment that covers news in general. I have found it to be the brief morning news podcast I have been looking for all along. Hopefully the politician interviews are behind them. They were a waste of time.

Sgt AlanLeft leaning for sureThis show has bits of good general information. They lost me when they started discussing the border, adding a liberal slant. A guest journalist Insinuated that service members and veterans participating in the convoy to the Texas border were unorganized domestic extremists. The show was recommended to me by a RA officer. He did give me a disclaimer about the shows left leaning tendencies. I’ve only been listening for several weeks. I tried to keep an open mind, but I have unsubscribed.

Old DomGood service, needs workI really appreciate the stories that you all run, but my goodness the audio needs some work. You’re half the volume of any other podcast, the music is louder than the voices, different segments are at different levels; heck even different people in the same segment are at different levels. The dress & appearance piece was the most egregious, but none of the episodes are particularly well-engineered.

Tre BrickleyPotentialI love the concept of this podcast, and I listen everday for a one-stop shop on Defense-related news aggregation. However, I agree with other reviewers that this podcast has a decidely left-leaning bias. It would benefit greatly from the admoniton to simply report neutrally and let the readers determine what to think about events.

TStrawGood information but slant leftMuch of the reporting is good, but the content suffers from a pronounced left slant. The latest interview with a Democratic Congressman sounded more like a campaign clip than a serious interview with zero pushback given to rather wild claims by the congressman. This podcast would improve greatly if the content stuck to purely facts and away from Democrat talking points.

USAFCCFIt's okAn ok source that leans liberal as was proved by today's episode (6 Sept). "Sound of Freedom " isn't controversial and should have been shown at SOUTHCOM. Let the troops decide if they wanted to go see the movie or not. More balance in this podcast would be appreciated.
-
eddie spatksLiberal podcastLiberal reporting. Two minutes about MOH recipient and mostly asserting “sound of freedom” was controversial because someone was Christian. Done with this app.
-
frednorrisGreat way to start my morningI listen to this during my morning commute and really enjoy the interviews

USN, retired91HarleyFX🏴☠️🇺🇸Needs work. More balance & objectivity. Less of the lefty libturds social just-us-isms so prevalent in our modern day & age. Stop letting it creep in from the media-culture-gubbmnt-blob-ocracy…. Seems a bit hokey/game showish at times, too. Need to amp up the professionalism and objectivity. Nothing wrong with being light-hearted and positive, but prove you can be serious first.

Btownchamp👍🏻👍🏻

idon'twantoneLefty Bird?Viewpoint is skewed, which given the reporting and news outlets cited makes some sense. Worse, the moderator appears to just accept everything the current admin and Dems are feeding him rather than question them objectively. Other than that, it’s Ok.

Florida_DaveUsefulA great way to start the day as a DoD contractor
-
really not Jeff BezosShift to partisan coverage is regrettableOne sided story promoting efforts of NLRB and chummy interview with Rep Gallego (D) are extremely unfortunate. Unsubscribing
-
AmdyfynPoliticoYou cite Politico as your source?!! That couldn’t be more one sided. I initially liked your podcast, as I’m the son of a decorated combat vet, eventually deceased of wound, but you subtly, if not overtly, slight anything Fox News and then embrace sources such as the aforementioned left-leaning entity. How about just giving us the news and letting the listeners decide of the merit or use! We don’t want references to either side of the aisle as to perspective. I’m a teacher and now the educational system does exactly the same in slanted information; teaching others what to think and not how to think! Patrick Evans

Mike Smith11Great info, delivery is terrible. Why does. The guy. Talk. Like this? Please just speak like a normal person. I enjoy your podcast despite the annoying delivery.
-
BeechF33AVery odd titleA recent episode is about a Japanese-American who served in the US military in WWII after "Japanese internment". That would be internment by the Japanese government. But no, this was about someone who was interned by the US government. Title needs fixing.
-
RCalebVGreat non biased information regarding DoD activitiesI have been reading the “Early Bird” emails for years; however, I now rely almost solely on this podcast to replace those for my morning news/update consumption.
-
NoFundraiser😔A good showGood information and timely
-
Sailor1992Great news summaries! As always, the Early Bird Brief podcast gives me a quick synopsis of the important news headlines for the day. This show nicely complements the daily email summary of news articles.
-
Miss.Mama.BearAmazing!A nice quick way to get the top military/defense headlines each morning. Especially love that I can tell Alexa to play the Early Bird Brief as I get ready. Definitely check it out!

aardevarkEarly Bird BriefingI have been reading the Early Bird Brief for two years and most say that I like it. The podcast is also really good although it could be longer and more comprehensive. I will continue to listen to it.
