Favorite of Forced BirthersForced Birth People Will Love ThisGosnell was a monster, and the pro life peeps love this content as proof of their belief that all abortion is bad. They never explore why the women were in the clinic in the first place, so it’s very unbalanced.
-
Kids love it...Absolute nonsenseThis podcast is nothing but propaganda. Do not waist your time if you’re looking for true crime reporting.
-
Not like mrDon’t waste your time.Anti-abortion drivel masquerading as true crime. This could be an important story to tell with complex factors such as poverty, misogyny and racism all playing a part but instead the creators chose to push their own agenda. Sad!
-
allthedamnnicknamesaretakenokwarning: seriously anti-choicei was pretty mortified when the podcaster started delving into their personal anti-choice politics midway through the podcast, sprinkling it into a true story crime story about actual infanticide and unsafe abortion practices. yikes. a wanting next time would be great.

cecegrrlBait & SwitchC’mon. This is a TC podcast. Gosnell is an evil man/monster. There are many levels of blame to go around that allowed his malevolent acts against poor, desperate women and their fetuses/babies. Like other commenters here, I feel duped and disgusted with the podcaster’s obvious zeal to showcase only ONE side of the abortion issue. Exhibiting dead bodies of babies to promote what exactly? Macabre.
-
yaya-mgGood story but inaccurate descriptionThe description didn’t feel like it was an accurate preview to the content. It would have been helpful to know abortion was going to be a main focus and a trigger warning would have been helpful in every episode (not just episode 4). With that said, this story was interesting and felt like something everyone should know about regardless of their stance on abortion.

PR590Politics of abortion threadThis is the story of a horrible serial killer who murdered and mutilated babies and women in his house of horrors clinic. Important to alert people because in this case, the State of PA truly failed poor, immigrant and People of Color by not investigating. That said, it turned it off when the host began speculating these kinds of horrors exist in the USA because of the “politics of abortion” and she thinks this kind of nightmare must be in all states. Abortion is not done by competent non- serial killer physicians at 9 months at that point it’s a delivery. She is clearly a pro forced birther who is using this horror as a soap box for her anti abortion message.
-
HMG!Stick with the crime. This is not an unbiased podcast. Stick with tge facts and the crime that was horrific. Kermit deserves life in prison. But stating that states that still allow a woman to choose are okay with 9month abortion s is propaganda.

BeMindfullThe Bias Creeps Up On YouI started listening to this and the story is horrific. It started out feeling like it was fact based reporting of a supposed controversial issue. I’m not real sure what’s controversial about what Gosnell did as it’s so outside the standards of practice you couldn’t possibly report anything he did was the norm or compare him with doctors who work within the legal parameters their jobs require. Gosnell is a murderer who disguised himself as a doctor. The authorities failed to do anything about it for decades and minority women paid the price. So instead of keeping to the facts of the case, the creator decided to slowly spin this into a piece of pro-life propaganda. By the last couple episodes, it’s obvious the slant is in. And the bonus episode was so insanely one sided that I needed to look up the neonatologist and quickly saw she is heavily involved in the pro-life movement. In the episode, she basically said if you terminate a pregnancy because you are told the fetus is unviable, then you are wrong because you shouldn’t trust what your doctor is telling you. I came to this podcast to listen to the story about a crime not for the debate on abortion. I can’t imagine anyone would say what this man did was acceptable.
-
J_PotterBiased reportingThis is definitely a story that should be told, but quit calling yourself a journalist. This is pro-life propaganda. This doctor was a sick sociopath, and to say this “has to be happening” in NY, California, Illinois is gross and misguided, not responsible journalism. I recommend people researching Dr. Kermit’s story but not this podcast.
-
JJavechVitally important and well toldThis was very hard to listen to, but it’s vitally important that this story is told. The brutal mutilation and murder of so many women and babies by this monster is absolutely unbelievable and unacceptable. Shame on the people who let this go on for so long. We must do better.
-
Mamma3bearUnbiased reportingThis is, by far, one of the best podcasts out there. The horrific story of the brutal massacre of innocent babies, the inhumane treatment of vulnerable women, the blatant disregard by agencies tasked with investigating this death clinic and the refusal of biased mainstream media to report what was happening all lead to the deaths of over 40,000 innocent babies. This podcast does an excellent job at presenting facts without bias. They expose the ugly truth of what was allowed to happen in the United States of America to the most innocent and helpless.
-
PodcastRmyJamDisturbing and eye openingThis podcast sheds a small light on so much that is wrong. Pro-life or pro-abortion, both sides should listen and learn from this horrific case and all that was missed and should’ve been done.
-
moon7347UnfortunateThis story needs to be told , but this particular podcast is very Biased and anti abortion propaganda- a lot of the language is opinion based and very Pro-Life - more politicized garbage . I did give it a 2 stars because the crimes against babies by this monster should be told - but more fact based.
-
l__Mags__lCould Have Been Compelling…What could have been a gripping look into the case of Kermit Gosnell gets woven into an anti-abortion narrative. Really unfortunate that this podcast turned out to be just another piece of anti-abortion propaganda.
-
aaahashleyBeware, pro life propagandaUpon first listening to this series, it appears as an unbiased and informative story. However, as it unfolds it's VERY clear this is pro life propaganda. No matter what heinous acts this "doctor" did, women still deserve access to legal and safe abortions. The interview episode with the doctor was so disappointing. She was clearly pro life and tried very hard to push her agenda onto the listeners. This podcast left me feeling gross, and not just because of the criminal story. Won't be tuning into anything from her again.

ReggieRae20!!!!!!!!!!!Eye opening how dare you!!!Illegal murder and harm to women looking for help in their most vulnerable times in life shouldn’t be political. This is a great podcast even if it’s uncomfortable. Bad people only get away with their illegal activities because good people do nothing. It’s worth listening to the uncomfortable topic of how abortions are performed legally to understand the nuance of the whole topic and what constitutes a menace to women and society beyond legal abortions. This doctor was a “joyful killer.” Every podcast has some slant- it’s just usually on the other side of this issue. I think it’s fair to be able to see both pro life and pro choice points so we can come to a middle ground:
-
Salad 2GoInteresting story but has strong political biasBe warned, the presenter has clear political motivations and talking points. She works for brietbart which should say enough.
-
GingermoeDisturbing, chilling but crucialI heard of this podcast through another podcast, and I’m so grateful for the recommendation. The story of this murderer is absolutely appallling, but it is vital that we face the reality of what he did to make sure it can never happen again. I appreciated the unbiased perspective and professional manner the information is presented. You will experience many emotions as you are led through the story. You will be furious; you will be disgusted; you will weep. Thank you for telling us the truth of Dr. Kermit Gosnell.

Newbie ☺️Disgusting act only the devil would doHow could you still be pro choice after to listening to the horrific act this man committed? you think oh he wasn’t doing abortions the right way medically. But when you do it “the right way medically” you still kill the baby, pull it out piece by piece. Arms, legs, torso and head. I think this is a story that needed to be told to give awareness of this tragedy and how corrupt abortion is all the way to the top. I pray that some of you, that are pro choice realize that babies are a gift. God says in Jeremiah 11 “ "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

NerdyScholarGripping and well produced.Loved listening to this show and have been telling friends and family too.

stray.pet.NopeThis is propaganda. Very disappointing.

fursaraheliseTY for telling this story: Ignore other 1 Star ReviewsSeeing people give this a 1 star reviews angers me. The quality of the reporting, interviews, narration, timeline of events and evidence in this podcast is excellent!! Due to the nature of the crime, I agree this story is hard to listen. But those who rated it 1 star missed the entire point of the podcast! Although this is connected to a “political issue” the person charged was not investigated or charged because it related to abortion. The crimes came to light because of drug bust and all jurors were pro life. The essence of this story is a person in a position of power committed horrific crimes against vulnerable women, contributed to the abuse of substances (including their showing up on the streets), acted unethically, got involved in inappropriate sexual relationships with his patients and contributed to the unhygienic care/abortion practices of women. I APPLAUD THE JOURNALISTS FOR TELLING THIS STORY! The fact it wasn’t major news and people reviewed this podcast WITHOUT listening to the entire thing is the same as the news outlets and Pennsylvania Health dept. ignoring the problem. Just because it involves an abortion clinic doesn’t mean it’s not a story which should be told!

JessicahmsThe women who died deserve much, much better. This is a horrifying, important story of a murderer who did untold harm to women. Unfortunately, it is corrupted by the bias of the podcast’s creator who makes her objection to abortion more and more obvious as the series goes on. It seems her goal was to get the listener hooked and then begin weaving her own beliefs into the narrative; by episode 5, she describes Roe as “practically mandating abortion in all 50 states”. She refers to aborted fetuses as “babies”. It’s important to say that some of Gosnell’s horrific abortions were so late that they were in fact live births and those babies, yes babies, were brutally murdered. But the reporter makes no distinction between these and abortions within legal limits. I could go on. What is ostensibly a podcast to the document and condemn egregious crimes committed against women, a story that MUST be told, is a means to campaign against the reproductive freedom those very women were seeking, and I find that deeply offensive. The women who died deserve much, much better.
-
arielall7Anti abortion propagandaThis story is horrific and there is so much to learn from listening to the facts of the case. However, the journalist, especially with this new interview of Dr. Pierucci, is showing bias and blaming a psychopath’s behavior on legal abortion. The facts here are a conflation of correlation and causation. Really bad journalism.
-
anthropersonPushing an agendaNope. This is a big no from me. Should the story be told? Absolutely. But not by this journalist, who clearly has an axe to grind with abortion laws in the U.S. The information presented was horrific. Unnecessarily horrific. Save yourself 6 hours and listen to something else.
-
Guycho.M.GWow!This was a hard listen, however it’s a story that needed to be told. Please give it a try.
-
chispitowashereRegretful listenerWarning: this podcast is the only I’ve listened to that I had to shut off because it was just too horrifying, and should have never been produced or edited with such disregard for the people involved. Like others have said, this is pushing a pro life agenda. However, I regret listening to this podcast not because of that. I regret it because I truly do not think certain parts of this podcast are meant for popular consumption. Re-enacted testimony from court documents are so disgusting and traumatizing to listen to that I truly see no benefit in listening to them. I think it was produced in way that did not honor the victims, the jury or the investigators and the story is sensationalized in a way that just feels wrong.
-
AudMamaWhy?I have never given one star to a podcast before. This story should not have personal agenda inserted into it. The story is horrible let it speak for itself. Ep. 5: “Abortions were mandated in the U.S.”? What? Abortions have never been “mandated” in the U.S.. This isn’t journalism it’s a horrible story that should have been told with facts. It needs more focus on the victims. We heard about 1, who is dead. What about the countless others?
-
ABN0455Great Work…This is a political issue to some. Personally pure Crime and the Podcast does a great job lying out the facts.
-
Jen947Topic not fully identified- proceed with cautionMaybe I’m naive, as this was the first time I heard of this horrific “doctor”; I should have done a quick Google search to learn more about him before committing to listening to this one. The description of this podcast does not identify who the victims of this serial killer are, which would be important for the listener to know for a variety of reasons, some of which may be triggering. Brn2ryd225Horrific story yet podcast Amaturely executedThis story was horrifying for sure, but also presented short insights in an effort to get a one dimensional point across … which makes it fall flat, relying on triggering content. The sickening content is cautioned to, only hours after triggering content was already presented. There are many pieces in this podcast that feel extremely repetitive (almost irritatingly so) with awkwardly presented “facts” and it feels unorganized, unstructured, heavily biased and amaturely finished. There is solid content and even more disappointing because you can tell how much work clearly went into this. The presenter is distracting with how strange and biased their commentary is presented. Although I realize it is a emotionally shocking and horrific story the lack of journalistic etiquette is alarming. The “actors” interviews and court proceedings frequently fall flat as well. I think you can tell by the editing of the trailer/ or preview- that it’s not well edited. Could have been captivating and dimensional if they hadn’t clearly burned out before submitting.
-
choctalianWay too much personal agendaThis story is horrific. Kermit Gosnell is undoubtedly a monster who did things too vile to imagine. It is a story that does not need the “journalist” to inject her own personal forced birth agenda to amplify the horror. If I made a drinking game out of how many times the “far left media” was mentioned, I’d be hammered. As if the lack of media coverage was strictly motivated by said leftist media to push a pro-choice agenda. Perhaps the bigger issues are the racist policies that left poor underserved, mostly Black and Brown women at the mercy of this monster with zero oversight. It could just as easily be said that the powers that be let this go on, knowing that it was an awful mark on abortion providers (though let’s be clear, this man was a serial killer who used his medical license to murder with impunity, full stop). Such an operation would not last a week if it were serving women of means who were not Black or Brown. Really disappointed in how this story was handled.
-
Busy mom of 3!Factual but horrificWell produced and just reports the facts, allowing me to draw my own conclusions. The facts are damning and horrific. You know this is not the only ignored drug dealer and murderer. I wish we had more inquisitive journalists and investigators.
-
This game that is playedUnfortunate podcastI would have liked to learn about the advertised topic. But as the narrator is one sided you cannot trust the narrative. Not true crime folks- just biased: Propaganda. Maybe we can get a true crime pod to inform on this case in the future because this was a horrific person. I have never left a negative review because of the effort put into podcasts but when the point of a podcast is deceive the listener then I believe something needed said.
-
Irishela55Very Well DoneI watched the movie about these horrific and horrible crimes and never really understood the magnitude of what this doctor did. However, after listening to this podcast, I was left with a sense of overwhelming sadness for what took place in this abortion clinic. I now understand what transpired. Causing healthy women to die and taking the lives of babies, along with the State never stepping in to investigate portrays a picture of the dark underbelly of what is abortion. ** Please be aware, this is an extremely well done pod cast. The 1 star reviews have been given clearly because the serial killer was an abortion doctor, which for some, makes him a hero of sorts. This man killed babies in ways that are heinous beyond the pale and it is sad that folks can’t put aside their politics to see the crimes.
-
mya52425Pushing an agendaI though this was going to be a pod cast that was going to give info with light being one sided and biased but glistening not to Ann’s language proves she’s not a journalist but just trying to push her beliefs forward. Not as educational as I though it would be.
-
BeardedLadyNatsuForced Birth Agenda Clouds The NarrativeThe host’s forced birth opinions come through the facts the farther into this podcast you go.
-
Loopyboopy2000Forced birthing agendaThis started off pretty good but the forced birth agenda comes in about episode 4. I immediately unsubscribed. Molly Hemingway? A far right hack, give me a break. I’d give zero stars if I could. A disappointment as this story does need to be told and the topic should be approached with nuance and care. A missed opportunity
-
AllisonVandyVery well done, horrificI am a horror and crime junkie. The reporting on this case is impeccable. The content is hard to stomach, even for me. Proceed with caution.
-
LoCoSneaksPro life but sneaks it in there near the end👎🏼
-
z zzz wr JytfVery sadI listen to lord case all day and let me tell you this is well done and researched but ep 4 is not for everyone beware of this one
-
KWK5Sad story about an awful doctor, but not well toldThis doctor is awful and clearly had no regard for cleanliness, proper training and licensing, and following the law, but they repeatedly talk about him as a serial killer who killed thousands, but in the end they only provide evidence of him mishandling the medical treatment of 1 woman resulting in her death and killing a few babies that had botched, illegal abortions. It seems that the journalist is actually anti-abortion and is counting many of the abortions as murders. I think this story would be better told focusing on the horrific medical treatment the women received in that clinic. I am not recommending this one to my true crime junkie friends.
-
N6602“Pro-Life” PropogandaPretty clear from the first episode on.
-
ZZTop_FanCutting edge JournalismThis podcast is a the premier TRUE CRIME pordcast! The savage treatment of women of color by this monster is shocking! The government of the City, County and State should held criminally responsible for their dereliction to upholding the laws of the State of Pennsylvania. The other crime that needs to be addressed is the crime of silence and neglect by the Media to report these horrors. This monster was protected by those who support abortion and refuse to enforce any standards. Ann McElhinney is a rare journalist who does actual reporting! We need more real journalist like Ann today, more than any time in our history!
-
From the BaysideIt’s a Story Within a StoryTwo riveting stories here. One of the horrid psychopath doctor’s practices. One’s mind drifts back to Dr. Holmes in 19th century Chicago. The other story of virtual official indifference, neglect and coverup could make a fascinating investigation on its own. Dr. Gosnell isn’t the only one who should be in jail. You don’t have to be ‘pro life’ to want to see the individuals who gave him cover for his crimes and enabled him to continue hurting women to pay a price, too. The story is so clearly developed, well narrated and a fascinating listen.
-
Karen not Karen seriouslyAwfulThis isn’t investigative it’s pushing an agenda. Just by the words she used to describe the horrors of one man to push for the reader to view this as why we should ban abortion. She is a conservative documentary filmmaker who doesn’t believe in climate change etc. I had no idea how bad she was until episode 4 when I realized I am no longer listening to investigation as much as I am being pushed to feel this way about all abortions.
-
mrood23Yeah, noThe story was well told mostly. Even when true purpose became apparent. I was willing to sit it through to the end because of the telling. But the jump in reason, going from horrid horrible detestable ciminal to abortion is immoral, is insurmountable. One criminal practitioner does not demonize a valuable service to society.
-
Montelongo11UnbelievableStill pro-choice. This is a story about a doctor who took advantage of women seeking abortions. Providing resources and making them accessible to women is key in order to avoid situations like described.
-
Bakerba3200Biased Hostthe host claimed that the media didn’t cover the story because they’re pro choice while she obviously only covered it because she doesn’t support abortion not because she wanted to uncover the crimes that the doctor did… a journalist is supposed to be not biased but she’s not.
