Daphne, Gina, and Matteo do an excellent job recapping all the news and competitions of each week during the figure skating season. I always know I will be informed and up to date after listening each week! Before I started listening to TWIS, I felt like I would miss news and updates if I wasn’t constantly checking social media, but now I have TWIS to rely on! In addition to the weekly episodes, they do great interviews with folks from across the skating world in a variety of disciplines and roles. TWIS is part of my weekly routine and you’ll love it if it is part of yours, too!

I normally enjoy this podcast but recently there is a new host, Melanie the photographer who talks way too slow with lots of pauses. Feels like this messes up the cadence with the regular hosts and makes the podcast hard to listen to…..

I absolute adore the team behind this podcast and have so much respect for their work. I fully support the idea of them being compensated/sponsored for the tremendous effort put into this podcast. But the ads in the episodes are horribly disrupting. There isn’t even an announcement for an ad break. It just pops in mid-sentence and worse yet, plays at 2-3 times the volume of the podcast. I’ve jumped while driving and listening due to the sudden burst of volume. Plus the ad content is 0% relevant to the podcast, it could be about casinos or something equally obnoxious. I know yall may not have control over the ads content but at least I hope you can more strategically insert the ads and tone down the volume please!!!

I only began listening to This Week in Skating this year, and I’ve since become a devotee. Gina and Daphne are magnificent guides to the complex disciplines that comprise the world of figure skating. They are exceedingly knowledgeable, winsome, and generous. I’ve never heard co-hosts on a podcast that are so fiersomeky together. They’re on my podium every week — thank you G and D !!!!

The post-Olympic season is always a bit of a letdown so the timing of this new podcast is wonderful for skating fans. Daphne and Gina are so personable to listen to and their thoroughness is covering all topics related to skating is remarkable. Just listening to the show every week is great but in addition, there are so many stories and interviews in their show notes that I never would have discovered on my own. I really appreciate that they make time with their busy schedules to put together such a great show every week.

This podcast is a great way to catch up on all the skating news. I really like all the links to recent articles and other information. The hosts keep it factual and to the point.

With all due respect, please don’t state every thing in the interrogative mode. Very hard to listen to.

Daphne and Gina have put together the ultimate podcast for skating fans. They do such a great job of summarizing all the news from each week while also infusing the show with personality. They also do great in-depth interviews with skaters and other members of the skating community. I look forward to listening to the show every Monday morning!
