    Amazing Podcast
It's not only my favorite pod, but an extremely informative one. Godspeed David. You have made so many unknown friends lives better. I stop the podcast as soon as the sentence "created by David Knowles". RIP. Michael B NYC

    Essential daily listening
A great way to stay up to date on all the happenings around the “hideous and barbaric” Russian invasion of Ukraine, from first-rate journalists in a well-produced ‘cast. Not only do they update us on the frontline details, but also the human and cultural impact. Must listen daily. Rest in Peace, David Knowles.

    Fantastic
This podcast informs listeners about every aspect of the war in Ukraine in quite a thoughtful way. The hosts & regular guests are extraordinarily knowledgeable, & their personalities & occasional asides make for entertaining listening on an often grim subject - no small feat. I tuned in two-and-a-half years ago intending to listen to just one episode, which had been recommended to me; I’ve since listened to every episode, including those which had already aired. It represents an important historical record of this important historical event.

Succinct way to stay abreast of events in Ukraine's war against invaders
This show covers the myriad crucial facets for understanding Ukraine's war against Russia, including military updates, national a d regional updates, what other nations are doing/delaying to support Ukraine, and Ukrainian cultural topics that help listeners keep in mind that there are real lives in the balance every day. They strike an excellent mix each episode, and I always learn so much! I listen from the US, am a former Intel analyst, and appreciate this show for both it's sobriety and it's humanity.

    Now is just straight propaganda
Over time this show has become worse and worse in terms of just being straight up propaganda and completely dismissing any opinion that is short of a complete and total defeat of Russia. They mock anyone who shows any concern for escalating a regional conflict into a much larger conflict - and at the same time they bemoan civilian loss of life, they say anyone who wants to negotiate and end to this war is a Russian puppet. They never have on anyone with a dissenting point of view - instead they just have on people to feed their own views - and they have on ridiculous guests that make all sorts of untrue claims and the show never calls them out or corrects them. I don’t think it was always this way - I’ve listened to his show for a while and while they were biased - they still put a lot of emphasis on actual events. Now, seemingly, most of the show is just opinion - the same opinion - with less emphasis on what’s happening on the ground. Personally I wish they’d cover event in Ukraine and Russia in greater detail and cut back on opinion. And for the love of all keep on mind honest people can disagree on what should be done - it doesn’t meant they’re a Russian plant if they’re wanting to stop a war from escalating.

I wish all reporting was like this
This important podcast is a must for everyone who wants to know what happens daily in the war in Ukraine. It’s a no nonsense report by knowledgeable people and knowledgeable guests. These are not talking heads. They know things. And the reporting shows it. I hope this podcast gets the support it deserves.

    Keep it up
Long-time listener from Portland, Oregon. The show has kept me engaged and thinking about world events when major news sources don’t. Rest in peace David. You made a massive impact in your far too short life.

    Excellent podcast worth your time
Consistently excellent reporting. A listener in Pennsylvania, USA, I started listening in 2023 while bedridden with a terrible sinus infection. I thought I would only listen to an occasional update, but the team did such an incredible job both informing and analyzing the war, diplomacy, culture, kit, strategy, and myriad other aspects that I became a daily listener. The sudden death of David is brutal. He passed so young, but he has left an amazing legacy in this podcast. I deeply appreciate all the work he put into this podcast to inform listeners around the world and commend Dom and Francis as they continue his work. I will deeply miss having David’s voice as part of my days. May he rest in peace

    Rest in Power David Knowles
I know the podcast will go forward. Everyone who works on it at The Telegraph will strive to live up to the high water mark set by David. His humanity, professionalism, and collegiality elevated all of us, including his ardent listeners.

    Great podcast
I have been listening from Los Gatos, CA, USA for about 3 months. The news is much more detailed than what I can get from domestic sources and I enjoy it a lot. Bravo! So sorry to hear the news re David Knowles. It doesn’t seem possible that he is gone. I can not come to grips with his passing but I am thankful that his podcast goes on as it must.

This show has been a point of light in a darkening world
I’m so sorry to learn of the passing of the show’s creator, David Knowles. David and his team at the Telegraph have been key in understanding the Ukraine struggle again Russia’s dreams of conquest and empire. Long live the show. Please keep illuminating us of the state of Ukraine and her people.

Amazing team David you will never be forgotten
I have been following this podcast since the start of the full scale invasion. You cannot ask for any better reporting on this war. The team has delivered top notch reporting. Today I went to check for the latest report only to receive such heartbreaking news. Ukraine the latest has lost the man responsible for such an informative show. Most importantly Ukraine the latest has lost a family member. Dom, Francis, Hamish (which I I love saying your name) and everybody else on this podcast your audiences hearts all go out to you and David’s family. We have been hearing David’s voice daily since the start of this invasion and it will be missed. I wish you the best thru these hard times. Michael Feifer, Kent island, USA

    Awesome show
This is Phil from Las Vegas, NV, born in NY. I always enjoyed historical events. I listen to your podcast everyday. The knowledge that each presenter gives is unmatched & so informative. It’s reporting like yours that keeps the war fresh in peoples minds and reminds us to stand with Ukraine & democracy. We can never let tyrants be victorious. I was very much saddened by the passing of David Knowles.

    Rest In Peace David Knowles
No words can ease the heartache of losing a loved one, especially one lost before their time. Nonetheless, he deserves a few. David touched many lives, and his work will hold lasting importance. He was not just a journalist, but a man. And the world is better off having had him in it, both in big ways and small. I never knew him, but listened to him for hundreds of hours these last thousand days. I will remember David Knowles. Cheers to David, David’s family and friends, and his team at the telegraph. My heart beats with you all on this hardest day.

Excellent updates by an Excellent team!
Realized today I had never written a review for this wonderful pod that I have listened too daily for over two years. I wish I didn’t have to listen to it, but it’s so important and is so good. The reporters and staff who work on this are doing so much more than job, they give so much of themselves to give us all vital information about a terrible war in our time, a war that will shape our shared future world. I’m of course writing today because I just heard the tragic news of David Knowles passing, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family, girlfriend, Dom, Francis, Roman, his colleagues and his listeners. Truly loved his work and will miss him, but know his work will live on and so will the great people of Ukraine that he has told us about. This is a great podcast, thanks to David and his wonderful colleagues for their work!

A consistently superb job - I subscribed to the Telegraph because of it!
I listen to this podcast on an every weekday basis without fail. The team do a terrific and comprehensive job at keeping me in the loop on all aspects of the conflict. The newspaper itself strikes me as a bit Murdoch-ish which was surprising. By that I mean a clear right leaning political preference is a part of the edit. It’s like the New York Post went to charm school in a watered-down but less cluttered sort of way. (Yes, I’m aware that the Telegraph is not owned by the Aussie gift to Vulgarity - just making a point)

    Day 917, Don't ask Velina T back
Listening from Wyoming , USA Listen every night from podcast beginning. Massive fan of podcast. Incredible content, usually exceptional guest. However, podcast on day 917 with guest Velina T was hands down the most un engaging, least talented commentator, and really difficult to follow guest this podcast has ever included. If she's on again, I will skip that day's podcast. Otherwise, I look forward everyday to learning more and supporting Ukraine's fight

    Ukraine
Thank you for your reporting Your English accent is sometimes hard to follow as Brit’s seem to speak at a slightly faster pace than we do in mobile Alabama USA We get little news from national news organizations about Ukraine and your source keeps me up to date I’ve sent multiple solar cell phone chargers to Ukraine embassy in Washington Donated to several charities that were it not for your broadcast I and millions of listeners would not know about So don’t think that your work on the war is not extremely important as you have no idea what a multiplier your reporting has on supporting the people of Ukraine Slava ukraini Dr rip

My “Go To” show for Ukraine updates
I love this show. It has consistently good updates for the conflict; it sifts through the mainstream news and the military bloggers with the right amount of skepticism. I appreciate the in depth interviews with front line soldiers and the civilians who are weathering the brutal assaults. It also is great in talking about the political situations in Ukraine and the positions of Ukraine’s allies and the countries who are Russia’s collaborators. This is the most consequential conflict of the 21st century so far, and the Daily Telegraph is doing a yeoman’s job with its consistent coverage.

The best news on the Ukraine war
I have been listening to this since February 2022. It is the best most incisive reporting on the war. The correspondents are committed and passionate. The best reporting on this tragic episode in history.

    None better
Always looking at the full-scale war from as many facets as possible, whether that’s interviews with energy officials or parents looking for missing children, this podcast has an amazing group of regulars who know exactly what tone to take and always have their fingers on the pulse of current campaigns. Thank you, gentlemen, for helping the rest of the world keep Ukraine in our minds with reason and facts!

Tired of UK commentators making lazy assessments of US politics
Francis said that Kamala Harris was “decisively defeated” in the 2020 primary. It shows that he doesn’t really understand US primary politics. It sounds like he watched FOX news for 5 minutes to find out what’s going on in presidential politics in the United States. For someone who makes a point of being that pedantic, I’d appreciate more precision.

How can the US tell Ukraine to reduce corruption when our own govt cannot even audit DoD and Generals retire and promptly go to work for monopolistic defense contractors? We paid for those Generals to train eat etc- yet we watch as they become lobbyists for all sorts of Defense corps.theUSA has merely legalized corruption.

The BEST podcast reporting on the war in Ukraine
Very thorough reporting and explanation on all aspects that effect the conflict. Incredibly helpful in understanding the what, how and why of military, diplomatic information and economic efforts from nations and private interests. Always fresh information despite it being a daily podcast.

    Necessary listening
Another outstanding episode! Thanks to you all for your work! Francis Dearnley dissecting the import of Rod Stewart getting jeers in the eastern Germany city of Leipzig is perfectly reasonable and adds to the understanding of the current situation. I wish that Ukraine The Latest wasn’t necessary listening but it is. And just when you least expect it, you get “N-n-n-n-nineteen” and it’s hilarious.

great podcast and perfect model of good journalism
It's a podcast with a core of talented journalists at the Daily Telegraph, if you listen you know i'm referring to David, Dom, and Francis, who have an entertaining rapport. Together with several talented regulars and many interesting guests, they do a wonderful job covering daily updates on the war in ukraine, a serious topic. The level of quality and information density is really remarkable for a daily, five-times-a-week podcast. And in spite of what must be a terrible amount of fuss, they seem to really enjoy what they are doing (and I would be too, if I were them.) With all the work they are doing day in and day out, the least I can do is write a nice review.

    Absolute best
I have followed the war since Day 1. In the beginning It was challenging to locate current, accurate news. I had to search the internet for information posted within the past few hours. Then I found Ukraine the Latest. As soon as the show posts, I stop what I’m doing to listen. Excellent international perspective. I’m in the USA.

    Europe Can’t Defend Itself
This excellent podcast keeps me up to date on the Russia Ukraine war. There is, however, a rather constant theme that all depends on the United States. It is amazing that Western Europe, without any contribution from the United States cannot supply all of Ukraine’s needs and wants. That is not to say that the United States should not contribute but why does it need to?
