    Excellent podcast
I’ve been hooked on this podcast for days. Ronit’s voice is a joy, and her interviews are top-notch. My goal? Finish my memoir and earn a spot in her guest chair. What a treat that would be—thank you, I’ve learned so much.

    My new favorite podcast!
I just discovered this podcast, and I’m so glad I did! Here’s why: -The episodes are clearly titled so you can listen to the ones that are most relevant to your own writing project(s) -The host jumps right into each interview so I don’t have to skip a bunch of content at the beginning. -The host asks thoughtful and useful questions for memoir writers. I love her interview style. -Interview guests are a great mix of well-known and newer authors. -Every guest lists a handful of recommended memoirs to add to your TBR pile. I’m making my way through the older episodes and loving every one. Thank you, Ronit, for this amazing resource!

Let’s talk about memoir is a must listen to for all memoirists
I learn so much from my time spent listening to Let’s Talk Memoir with host Ronit Plank. From how to process stuff that’s hard to write about, to reasons why it’s important to write it down. As a memoirist, I like knowing what’s out there, what works, and stories that readers are interested in and why.

    Favorite new discovery!
I just heard about Ronit’s podcast. I started listening to the first episode this week while cleaning, and many episodes later, ideas for my own memoir project are blossoming…and my house is really clean! I love the variety of guests with their similarities and differences—reminders that there are as many kinds of memoirs as there are people writing them. Speaking of which: the memoirs each guest recommends are a trove. This podcast is not just a grand resource but a source of inspiring encouragement. Thank you, Ronit!

    I’m obsessed with you show!
Thank you so much for creating it. It’s been so helpful on my journey of writing. I listen just about every day. It confirms that I’m on the right path and I’m not alone with my feelings about the experience. And having no experience with writing let alone an education on anything even close to it gives me the motivation and confidence to keep at it. Thanks again!

Your show has moved the wheels to just write, when you write you can’t go wrong aside of grammatical errors hehe. I’ve enjoyed all the story telling and the questions you ask have me going, wow that’s a good question and I’m not just saying that to buy time like our fellow impressed memoirists haha thanks for making your life moving factor in all of us listeners, readers and incoming memoirists. I envision having the “nuts and bolts” conversation in the near future. With the Grace of God.

    Fun
There's something fun about this host. And I love hearing about the craft of memoirs and the stories themselves way more than just reading some interview. You get more personality! From Guests and the host.

    Fun, Perceptive, Thoughtful Interview!
I was delighted to be interviewed by Ronit for “Let’s Talk Memoir,” about my book The Long Field. In all truthfulness, it felt more like a conversation between old friends—two authors both passionate about writing and memoir and the ways in which life is lived and recalled—than a standard “so tell me about your book” interview. Perhaps that’s because of Ronit’s inherent warmth and perception, or because she’s a writer herself and that experience leads her to pose perceptive questions, or because she deeply prepared for our talk. Probably all of the above! I just know that I deeply enjoyed listening to other interviews she’s done and loved every minute of my own. I want to write another book quickly so we can talk again!

    Grateful
I’m so grateful for the “Let’s Talk Memoir” podcast. As a published memoirist, I’m happy to have found part of my “tribe” with the many and varied memoirists Ronit Plank has skillfully and thoughtfully interviewed. Writing and publishing a memoir can be, and often is, a very tricky, unnerving undertaking but also a tremendously satisfying one. Having the opportunity to listen to her guests, those who have come out on the other side, has made me feel even more affirmed as an author. Her podcast is also far reaching. Those who are lucky enough to be her guests will find that her podcast reaches readers who would otherwise not hear about their work. I’m thrilled to be counted among her many guests. I’m hooked!
I started listening to this on my daily walks and quickly became hooked! It’s like bingeing TV shows but for writers. I love it. Ronit has such a diverse set of guests all with a unique variety of insights and advice for memoir writers, from theme, to scene, to drafts, to editing and more. Every episode is a great preview into the authors work, too. Each one feels like watching a movie trailer that makes you want to run out and see the film. Lastly, I just adore Ronit’s interview style. She makes her guest comfortable and asks questions in a way that gets them to open up about their process. You can tell she does her homework before each interview as well and I love the passages she asks the authors to read for the show’s listeners.
