Asalamualaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu brother! I have listened to you for nearly 20 years, Uncle Sam Dam was the first song I played in my first car, and this was before I ever became Muslim. Since then I’ve adored you on a whole nother level. May Allah increase you here and the hereafter, keep using your platform to spread the good message and the good vibes

I love Brother Ali (and Brendan). I’m glad they are here and doing what they do. Brother Ali is wise, kind, and genuine. If you like hip hop, want to learn about Islam, or simply have space for a good real person, you are gonna love this podcast.

Gonna be honest, I’m anything but unbiased when it comes to Brother Ali. I listen to at least one of his albums a week and enjoy his music to no end. This podcast is definitely a more personal one, with plenty of anecdotes and focusing on real life experiences. I find his talks about politics, spirituality, and religion fascinating. If i had one complaint it’s that i don’t have his number to text and ask him to further explain things. It’s a great listen. Special shout out to the SaRoc episode! She’s an amazing MC and sounds like a equally amazing person. Also C. West for prez!!!

This podcast is an amazing example of humanity. Brother Ali interviews from the heart, leaving us with a sense of the person he is interviewing and himself. This podcast will touch your heart and simulate the mind.

Long time fan of Brother. First went to one your shows when I was 14, last time I saw you was was in a small little bar in Avon CO called Agave (which was an amazing experience) I truly enjoy all your music and will continue to listen in the years to come. Just now listening to the podcast for the first time over the last few days and I love it. The positivity, the kind words and messages sent out to all of us. Randomly listened to one podcast bc of guest, author Kiese Laymon. Now, I’m all in. Refreshing, honest, open, unique. Brother Ali has a soothing voice and delivers his thoughts in a calming cadence. Topics and guests range from the big hip hop greats, the underground rap scene, social justice, arts and culture, and religion. I am so happy to have found this, and wonder how I had previously missed this amazing artist- his albums slap too. Better late than never, and thank you to Brother Ali for this podcast.

This is more than just a podcast. A great representation on keeping the oral tradition of sharing wisdom & knowledge alive. Very informative, very intimate, & very recommended. Gratitude Brother for taking us on these travels with you.

I need to start scribbling notes throughout each episode because I learn about a million things from the lessons contained in every other sentence. Brother Ali is in his element on the mic here, and inspires a similar kind of joy, inspiration, love, human connection, and knowledge that emanates from his music. For all seekers, thinkers, feelers, and travelers. ❤️

This is the type of podcast I had hoped for from Brother Ali. Conversational. Spiritual. Insightful. Thoughtful. Often times I even find myself laughing out loud too. The couple of naysayers doing reviews strike me as odd. I mean, no one is above criticism, but the criticisms in those cases seem out of place and, truthfully, mean spirited. Both in the sense that they are saying that, for their own comfort, Ali should deny and hide parts of who he is. To the agnostic: do you. Let Ali do him. He’s not trying to convert you. To the critic upset about Ali’s views on America: please, I implore you, read some history. See how it informs the now. America is not above reproach and criticism. Never will be. It’s place in the world is bloody. Learn that, please. Back to the positive. Ali, bless you for speaking your truths. Keep on! All the gratitude in the whole world to Brother Ali and his guests. This podcast is incredibly insightful, thought provoking and gives me hope and strength for the future of this world. Ali has always brought words of comfort and understanding to my ears through his music and I am thoroughly grateful for him introducing me to so many of his teachers and mentors. I am forever grateful that he shares these conversations about hip hop, humanity, love and compassion.

He has nothing good to say about America yet, America and it’s values helped him get to where he’s at. How many successful rappers do you see coming out of socialist countries?

I love the episodes with the interviews. You are improving every time as an interviewer. But I have to say, these episodes where it’s just you and you only are absolute treasures to behold. Since there isn’t a guest, I become the guest in my head and find myself saying things back to you in earnest agreement, or laughing with you, or sometimes crying with you. I love Brother Ali, and respect his religious views and realize they bleed into his music… but I couldn’t listen to more than a couple of minutes because it was saturated with his religion. Don’t get me wrong - it’s not that he’s Muslim. It’s that I feel any religious views should be kept personal. I am agnostic and would loved to have heard the podcast, but felt alienated.

Ali is an incredible host and interviewer. So much knowledge is dropped by him and his guests. A very refreshing and positive perspective
