simsaljarThis is the podcast my soul neededAsalamualaikum wa rahmatullah wa barakatu brother! I have listened to you for nearly 20 years, Uncle Sam Dam was the first song I played in my first car, and this was before I ever became Muslim. Since then I’ve adored you on a whole nother level. May Allah increase you here and the hereafter, keep using your platform to spread the good message and the good vibes

happylistener1000!Kind wise genuineI love Brother Ali (and Brendan). I’m glad they are here and doing what they do. Brother Ali is wise, kind, and genuine. If you like hip hop, want to learn about Islam, or simply have space for a good real person, you are gonna love this podcast.

NickKoneyNot2012Much love and nothing butGonna be honest, I’m anything but unbiased when it comes to Brother Ali. I listen to at least one of his albums a week and enjoy his music to no end. This podcast is definitely a more personal one, with plenty of anecdotes and focusing on real life experiences. I find his talks about politics, spirituality, and religion fascinating. If i had one complaint it’s that i don’t have his number to text and ask him to further explain things. It’s a great listen. Special shout out to the SaRoc episode! She’s an amazing MC and sounds like a equally amazing person. Also C. West for prez!!!
-
jamespinaIt’s what we needThis podcast is an amazing example of humanity. Brother Ali interviews from the heart, leaving us with a sense of the person he is interviewing and himself. This podcast will touch your heart and simulate the mind.

MileHighRydaBeautiful. Educational. Uplifting. From the first episode, this podcast is honest, enlightening, uplifting, and simply well made with thought and care. I find myself wanting to listen to the ads because Brother Ali is so heartfelt and genuine. All my sincerest gratitude and praise to Brother Ali, BK-One, and the crew!

GRaischGenuine, heartfelt podcastLong time fan of Brother. First went to one your shows when I was 14, last time I saw you was was in a small little bar in Avon CO called Agave (which was an amazing experience) I truly enjoy all your music and will continue to listen in the years to come. Just now listening to the podcast for the first time over the last few days and I love it. The positivity, the kind words and messages sent out to all of us. The true sincerity behind the words you speak touches us all. Thank you for this podcast and I will make sure to share it with my loved ones. Much love!

JessieF.ECan’t Get EnoughRandomly listened to one podcast bc of guest, author Kiese Laymon. Now, I’m all in. Refreshing, honest, open, unique. Brother Ali has a soothing voice and delivers his thoughts in a calming cadence. Topics and guests range from the big hip hop greats, the underground rap scene, social justice, arts and culture, and religion. I am so happy to have found this, and wonder how I had previously missed this amazing artist- his albums slap too. Better late than never, and thank you to Brother Ali for this podcast.

north_fork_native7Heart & Soul through Spoken WordThis is more than just a podcast. A great representation on keeping the oral tradition of sharing wisdom & knowledge alive. Very informative, very intimate, & very recommended. Gratitude Brother for taking us on these travels with you.
-
Ré BFor Heart and MindI need to start scribbling notes throughout each episode because I learn about a million things from the lessons contained in every other sentence. Brother Ali is in his element on the mic here, and inspires a similar kind of joy, inspiration, love, human connection, and knowledge that emanates from his music. For all seekers, thinkers, feelers, and travelers. ❤️

mJw511Dig This! This is the type of podcast I had hoped for from Brother Ali. Conversational. Spiritual. Insightful. Thoughtful. Often times I even find myself laughing out loud too. The couple of naysayers doing reviews strike me as odd. I mean, no one is above criticism, but the criticisms in those cases seem out of place and, truthfully, mean spirited. Both in the sense that they are saying that, for their own comfort, Ali should deny and hide parts of who he is. To the agnostic: do you. Let Ali do him. He’s not trying to convert you. To the critic upset about Ali’s views on America: please, I implore you, read some history. See how it informs the now. America is not above reproach and criticism. Never will be. It’s place in the world is bloody. Learn that, please. Back to the positive. Ali, bless you for speaking your truths. Keep on! One love! -The dude in the Public Enemy shirt in Burlington, Vermont a few years ago.

Doughgirl78All The GratitudeAll the gratitude in the whole world to Brother Ali and his guests. This podcast is incredibly insightful, thought provoking and gives me hope and strength for the future of this world. Ali has always brought words of comfort and understanding to my ears through his music and I am thoroughly grateful for him introducing me to so many of his teachers and mentors. I am forever grateful that he shares these conversations about hip hop, humanity, love and compassion.
-
Tony36473837373I had high hopesHe has nothing good to say about America yet, America and it’s values helped him get to where he’s at. How many successful rappers do you see coming out of socialist countries?
-
DaveRocExcellenceInsightful, fantastic and definitely is a calming influence on my mindset.
-
Trompe Le PaulIncredibleBrother Ali has a heart of gold and is one of the smartest people you will ever hear. Every episode of this podcast is a blessing. Dive in! You won’t regret it
-
MIDoggettHealingI love the episodes with the interviews. You are improving every time as an interviewer. But I have to say, these episodes where it’s just you and you only are absolute treasures to behold. Since there isn’t a guest, I become the guest in my head and find myself saying things back to you in earnest agreement, or laughing with you, or sometimes crying with you. As you continue this beautiful podcast journey, please keep in mind that anytime you can’t arrange to have a guest, we are more than happy to just sit back and let you be you. As you continue in your therapy, it’s only going to get better. Peace and love, and thank you.

flambourineBeautiful conversations with a beautiful soulIf you’ve been a Brother Ali fan, these conversations will feel familiar and enlightening in the way his music does. If you are new to this man’s art, you will find many joyous and challenging moments within this podcast. If you are looking for discussions on artistry, Islam, the soul and the heart, hip hop, culture, humor, activism, and other subjects related to living an intentional life, you are in the right place.

ThisNeedsToEndNowI am who I am because somebody loved meBrother Ali is that person. He has always shown love to everyone around him. From New Years Eve shows and dance parties at 5th street entry, to allowing me the opportunity to propose to my wife on stage in Seattle, Brother Ali has always held a safe space to show up as our true selves and freely show love to one another. This podcast is a continuation of this love with incredible guests and is one of the few podcasts where a genuine, real, honest conversation can happen without fear of judgement. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this. One Love!

JJD GardnerHeartfeltTwo episodes in and I’m crying, laughing, challenged and feeling a huge dose of inspiration. Thank you Brother Ali for opening your heart, turning on your microphone and inviting your friends, elders and fellow artists to tell these stories and share this wisdom. This podcast is pure gold. Even the commercials for the sponsors are dope.
-
G-BOO!The way some people speak IS MUSIC.I never thought I would enjoy this OR ANY Podcast for that matter THIS MUCH. I replay the episodes the way I play my favorite songs, and make it a point to check out the sponsors. Brother Ali is sharing a more direct, intimate and intentional side with his fans. I AM IMMENSELY GRATEFUL. Looking forward to Being. Co Traveler on This Journey.
-
angelachristinegFelt alienated with so much religion ♥️Brother Ali thoI love Brother Ali, and respect his religious views and realize they bleed into his music… but I couldn’t listen to more than a couple of minutes because it was saturated with his religion. Don’t get me wrong - it’s not that he’s Muslim. It’s that I feel any religious views should be kept personal. I am agnostic and would loved to have heard the podcast, but felt alienated.
-
SeandammitGems gems gemsAli is an incredible host and interviewer. So much knowledge is dropped by him and his guests. A very refreshing and positive perspective

M A-MIntimate, educational, inspiringLike an extension of his music, Brother Ali’s podcast rests at the intersection of faith, intellect, historical knowledge and compassion. Ultimately this is a podcast about humanity. The humanity of the guests, the humanity of Brother Ali and the humanity of us all.
