    Great Braves pod!
Such a huge improvement after Justin was brought back. No offense to Barrett but just totally stopped listening because it wasn’t interesting without the daily clubhouse perspective. With DOB and EOF no longer doing the 755 Braves pod, AJC Braves report is definitely the best!

    Solid Second Half
Thanks, AJC team, for your efforts after the All Star Break. Definitely a fan of the current format and I will continue listening into the future. I hope you enjoy the offseason.

    2024 was great!
You guys make the perfect tandem to listen to , hopefully I’ll be able to listen to you two next year as well!

    It’s fine now
Edited 9/12 Original review is below. This is better than Barrett but not as good as it was. Glad to have some insider knowledge again but we get way to off topic most days. They literally talked about horror movies for 5 minutes of a 27 minute podcast the other day. Just talk baseball Original review: Honestly I can’t listen to more than a few minutes and I have to turn it off. You guys had such a good thing going. Why change? The back and forth between justin and Jay with the occasional gabe was awesome. I appreciated the perspectives from beat guys that were consistently around the team. Barrett is hard to listen to in this format. This feels like any other boring sports podcast. I understand wanting to put out more content and I appreciate the effort but this is not it. Bring back the old format.

Edited on 9/9. (Original review) I appreciate Barrett’s Braves fandom but that’s not what I enjoyed about this podcast. In fact, not having it be a Braves fan talking to me about their thoughts on the team is why I had listened to this Braves podcast over others. I don’t enjoy listening to just one person share their opinion and views. I really enjoyed the back and forth between Justin and Jay, and Gabe as well when he was on the show. I thought they gave really good insight into the team. Justin did a great job bringing information from and about the players to the fans. It was a Braves podcast that celebrated the Braves but had an air of inside the game professionalism that’s just missing now. The new format just isn’t doing it for me so I’m unsubscribing. (New Review) I’ve really enjoyed the show since Justin and Sarah took over. I really enjoy listening to Justin talk baseball and Sarah is a nice addition as well. She does a good job hosting the show. I’m a happy subscriber once again.

    Ok
I prefer the old team. These too are fine, will take some getting use to I guess.

Sarah and Justin SAVED the show
I’ve been listening to this show since inception. I am a dedicated listener, and am so happy that Sarah and Justin have joined forces with their dynamic personalities and true love for all things BRAVES to save the “Braves Report Podcast”. With the previous host at the start of the 2024 season, I had totally left the show because I just couldn’t listen to the train wreck which consisted of horrible reporting, sarcastic demeanor toward our hometown team and an awful broadcasting style. I feel like Sarah and Justin are part of the Braves team and an extension of my family. You make it seem so easy and your joy of what you do to bring the updates to us is palpable in each broadcast. Keep up the great work!!!!!! GO BRAVES David Kennesaw, GA

Glad to have my favorite podcast back
This podcast has been part of how I enjoy Braves baseball for the last few years. No offense to the host at the beginning of this season, but the return to format has been very welcomed. I especially appreciate the perspectives and the observations of the professional journalists covering the Braves (Justin) and hosting the podcast (Sarah). I think the AJC has a championship caliber team here. -@BravesUgaFan

    Best Braves Podcast
So glad to have Justin back on every episode and Sarah is great. Shout out to Producer Daniel as well. Back to being the best Braves podcast out there.

    Thank you!!
So happy with the new hosts, they’re engaging and make the information easy to follow but interesting for both casual fans (me) and fanatics (my husband). I finally feel invested again and will be recommending the podcast to our friends again. Thank you!!

    Thanks for changing hosts!
    Much, much better without Barrett!
  • anythingbutwhatitwas
Miss the insight of the beat writers
Still a pretty good show and Barrett is fine but as an avid Braves content consumer the change in format changed this show from must listen-to to a show I skip unless the headline catches my attention (i.e. when Justin Toscano makes an appearance)

    Bring back Justin
Nothing against Barrett, but I naturally stopped listening once he took over. I thoroughly enjoyed the back & forth with Justin & Jay but grew bored with just Barrett. At least give him a co host.
  • DontTrustDoug
    Better with Justin
I started listening with Jay and Justin and was confused why they went away from that. I don’t mind Barret but it’s better with a back and forth banter. Episodes with Barret and Justin are good just don’t think Barret alone is enough to make it a must listen like it previously was. No offense he seems like a good guy.
  • RAWARD4
More Facts and Info, Less Banter
This pod used to be informative and journalistic, but now it feels like just another platform for someone to build his brand and casually make sweeping statements.
  • Southernteke
    No Longer a Must Listen
Justin Toscano’s innate knowledge and insight as a beat reporter made this podcast a must listen for Braves fans. The new host sounds like a regular fan you might meet at a buddy’s house who tries to impress but regularly gets facts incorrect. And without a regular second voice, a la Jay Black, there’s zero banter or differing opinions. The Braves Podcast community is much worse for the change.
  • Shibby372
    Bad
Old hosts knew ball; new one does not. Absolute clown show. I wish I could comment and laugh at the new five star reviews. How much is he paying you guys hahaha

A Home Run for Braves Fans
The latest episode of the podcast is a must-listen for any Atlanta Braves fan. Barrett, with an evident passion for all things Braves, brings a depth of knowledge to the discussion that is both impressive and enlightening. His expertise shines as he breaks down recent games with insightful analysis and an eye for detail that only a true aficionado could offer. What sets this podcast apart, however, is the host's ability to weave humor into the fabric of each episode. His witty commentary and light-hearted jokes make even the most technical baseball discussions enjoyable and accessible. Whether he's poking fun at a rival team or sharing amusing anecdotes from the dugout, his humor is a perfect pitch, never missing the mark.
  • RCF 1957
Barrett's podcast is a must-listen for Braves fans
Enjoying listening to Barrett share his opinions and analysis on my Atlanta Braves. His love for the Braves comes through the podcast which makes this podcast a must-listen for Braves fanatics like myself. Keep up the great work A+++
  • SusanLVal
    I enjoy Barrett’s report.
I enjoy Barrett’s podcast. I’m not always able to watch every game. I love his enthusiasm even on our bad nights!
  • A-Pat
Great when Justin is on, mediocre when it’s just Barrett
Ever since Barrett took over, I’ve pretty much stopped listening to this podcast. It’s a name because Justin and Jay were fun and informative. It’s none of those things with Barrett at the helm. He seems like a nice guy but the podcast is no longer as essential given his style and relatively shallow analysis.
  • Wi-fyemebro
    YES!
Fun Braves podcast. Love the new format. Barrett does a great job of mixing in passionate commentary, quality clubhouse interviews, along with updates from Justin. Keep ‘em comin.

I really enjoy this podcast on my way to work. Seamless transfer by the new host, Barrett. It’s great because I don’t have time catch up on all the games but can drop in to get a synopsis to stay current.

    A fantastic show
Barrett is such a breath of fresh air when it comes to Atlanta Braves talk.
  • JaceBoi 1988
    A cut above
I listen to many sports pods - some guys have the IT factor when discussing their material & Barrett has it when talking Braves baseball. Can’t get enough!
  • Wdejeff
    Barrett just keeps it real
As he usually does Barrett brings truth when others just fanboy. When it’s good he says it’s good when it’s bad he says it’s bad. If you want sunshine pumping go sit on a solar panel

    Diamond Dandy!
Easy listening for the casual or diehard fan. Thanks Barrett.

    Great Podcast!
Love the podcast. I’ve enjoyed Barrett’s reporting on other platforms and he always brings a unique perspective. I especially like it when he invites reporters from opposing teams to join the show for a series preview. The content is solid and it’s the perfect length. Keep up the great work!
  • crimedogcollector
    Love it!!!
Keep up the great work, Barrett!

    Facts
Barrett is enjoyable to listen to, but I wish he would bring up analytics when talking about players struggling. His negative diatribe about Matt Olson was a little too heavy handed. Matt is struggling but it’s a lot of bad luck. His strike out rate is only 19% since April 22nd. His 40% hard contact rate is higher than 2023. His fly ball rate is about the same. Matt will be fine. Let’s make sure we paint the full picture.
  • dylankightmusic
    Yikes
New format is terrible. New host is not a baseball guy. Weird takes that aren’t based on analytics or clubhouse info. I’ll gladly resubscribe if Justin, Gabe and Jay come back.
  • Andy543
    They ruined this podcast
This podcast use to be very solid. The guys from the AJC did a great job. They got a new host and he is terrible. Talking about how terrible the Braves are when they literally have the best record in baseball. Breathlessly talking about how worried he is about how this team is not ready for the playoffs that are FIVE MONTHS from now. Absolutely terrible. Unsubscribing. Bye.
  • Mad Man Andy
    Ehh…
I don’t feel like this podcast wouldn’t meet AJC’s standard in terms of reporting. With Justin and Jay I felt like there was substance and learned more information from Justin’s conversations with the team and Jay’s knowledge of the game. Listening to Brett is essentially listening to Twitter comments on a podcast. Obviously, tough spot to put Brett trying to fill Justin and Jay’s shoes but this isn’t working.
  • shockersfan
    Terrible podcast
This guy has no real content and trying to convince the audience that he has something to offer is just pathetic. Very childish and there is no substance here. For your sake host, shutting it down and put yourself out of the misery.
  • timtam0708
    Miss the old format
I miss the back and forth between Jay and Justin. A lot more enjoyable than listening to Barrett talk to himself. I know Jay has moved on to another job but at least make it a Justin/Barrett show. Two voices, two opinions, two ideas are better than one.
  • iggy2020
    Ruined
They turned a good insider podcast into just another guy talking by himself about the braves. What was a good inside informational podcast is now a fan just talking.
  • TedDen87
    Less than half as good
I’m sorry Barrett, but I miss the back and forth between Jay and Justin. To me, the dialogue is what made the show. Having one voice spouting their personal view is not my bag. Even when it is about ‘my’ team.
  • Iggy2024
    Ruined
Not fair to this Brett guy but this podcast is not good now. It’s just another guy talking Braves ball which is ok but this podcast used to be a few guys that were actual insiders to the team going back and forth.
  • Fox2.0
    Bring Back Jay and Justin
I miss the old format with Jay and Justin instead of Barrett. He starts today’s podcast with an annoying sarcastic monologue about Reynaldo Lopez being our ace, then actually makes the honest claim that he’s our ace five minutes later. It’s been 3 starts and we still have MAX FRIED. If the AJC wants more episodes per week, they should hire the guys from the Battery Power podcast to replace Barrett
  • DancerJenn78
    True Review
I like Barrett, I like his voice and I think he has great content. However, what made this show special was the back and forth between two Braves insiders. I like hearing the perspectives of other those covering other teams, but the format feels like just another sports podcast now. I love that there are three a week and I know Jay and Justin don’t have time for that. I wish Monday episodes/breaking news episodes were Jay and Justin and Wednesday/Friday episodes were Barrett and a guest. That makes the most sense to me. Either way it ends up, I appreciate the content, thought, care, and effort that has always, and continues to be put into this show!

It’s just some nobody with lots of opinions and nothing else
I liked Jay and Justin although truth be told they both could have used a lot of vocal coaching. I mean it was rough. The lady guest ruined everything by talking too much and constantly interrupting. But what I liked was the content - it was very deep and very interesting reporting mixed with good quality sensible analysis by people who know what they’re talking about. New guy Barrett sounds like a guy with a new podcast. Lots of opinions and hot takes, no interesting or meaningful reporting. And his opinions can be pretty dumb sounding sometimes. I’m gonna give it another couple months before I give up on it but really if I wanted just some nobody’s opinions on the Braves, there’s way better places to get that. But he does have a better voice for podcasting and his production quality is a lot better, so he gets points for that.
  • katiesloth3000
    What happened?
We had such a good thing going with Justin, Gabe, and Jay. I don’t know who this Barrett guy is but he’s very uncomfortable to listen to. It’s very strange to go from a great conversational podcast to just one guy talking the whole time. The podcast needs another host, preferably someone from the old team. And less interviews with Mets people. If I wanted to listen to blowhards from New York, I’d move to Florida.
  • Tyler Hunter9295
    Barrett saved this podcast
Jay was always fine as a host, but I couldn’t handle any more of Justin “Vocal Fry” Toscano or that guest lady interrupting him every 5 seconds as he attempted to make his points. Now that Barrett is hosting solo, we get a quality podcast with serious analysis, some sensible hot takes, clips from player/manager interviews, and no annoying attempts at comedy. Please keep Barrett as host and the others away from the mic. He 100% saved this podcast.
  • USAFCCF

Best way to keep up with Braves. Outstanding !!

Don’t air your predictions after game 3
Guys, come on… predicting a Braves elimination on air? If that’s the best a Braves podcast can do, just don’t make one. Or at least keep predictions to yourself. Sure, maybe it’s honest, but Braves country is looking for reasons to hope. This wasn’t the time to air your fears! Maybe the late night got the best of you, but this is gonna look really bad if Braves take the series, LIKE THEY ARE CAPABLE OF DOING. Unbelievable. Good podcast otherwise….
