Knowing the news and what’s going on is important but I couldn’t stand newscasts like CNN or Fox - I love The Pour Over! Keeps me informed and focused on Jesus

No political just clean clear news with encouraging scriptures! I get caught up on the news and don’t feel robbed of my time. No unneeded filler or someone else’s opinion. Leaving me update to date on the news then to form my own opinion through prayer and Bible study!

Once the girl started reading you can tell by the inflections in her voice what she is biased on. It frustrates me because I want unbiased news with no hint of attitude. It to mention the lack of knowledge on Bump stocks. It’s literally just an attachment it doesn’t turn the gun into a machine gun….it gives no extra ability to how the firearm loads bullets. Do your research before reporting! Not the only time I could tell which way she leans.

A refreshing and unique find providing succinct news summaries with an explicit effort for fair presentation in a relaxed style. Never hyped. Sprinkled with relevant Biblical scripture verses. If I want to be critical, it would only be that currently they only release new episodes on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is now part of my regular podcast playlist.

Love the Pour over news. I love the biblical perspective. One minor suggestion … the music is definitely distracting. Would love if there was an option without it.

I can’t tell you how thankful I am for this news! For many years I didn’t watch the news because I felt like I had no control over what I was hearing and just wanted the basic facts. I love how this incorporates what’s going on in the world and how we as Christ followers can respond. They truly is nothing like it!

The jokes surprised me and were less than what I would expect from a Christian podcast. Stick to the news.

It’s easy to overlook world events from the perspective as a Christian. The thoughts and Bible verses are excellent reminders!

I like The Pour Over, it gives me just enough to feel informed but not sensationalised or bias just fact with a bit of eternal perspective commentary at end of report.

I am very thankful that the Pour Over gives me good nuts and bolts news info with no agenda, but some of the connections to Scripture are pretty cheesy. I get that the purpose is to keep our minds Word centered, but not everything needs to be tied to a message. I skip most of the little spiritual lessons. A beginning Psalm and ending benediction of sorts would be something to consider. Anyway, still thankful for it!

No hype, no extra noise; just the latest news headlines given with some relevant scripture. Straightforward, no bias. Thumbs up!

I really want to love the show, but the mixing makes it so hard to follow. I wish they would turn the music down, especially in the sections where they are reading from Scripture. I barely understand what they’re saying.

The Pour Over is very helpful to, as they say “stay connected while remaining focused on Christ”. Highly recommend for keeping up to date on a general level with the news.

I love the vibe of this show so much. It has become a part of my weekly routine and I feel like it helps me engage news in a much more Christlike way than I was before.

I like the focus on top stories and the integration of biblical texts. The narrators are clearly reading a script (which make sense) but it doesn’t always sound conversational or natural.

I greatly appreciate the scriptural reminders applied throughout the episodes. Unbiased perspectives and good follow-up resources suggested in each episode.

Just the right amount of information to be informed, without being totally overwhelmed with the worlds problems. Love that it is said in a matter-of-fact way, in a neutral tone without the hype, and without tricky or misleading perspectives, just the truth, followed by the absolute truth of God‘s word.

This is a great way to keep up with major news stories while meditating on how the Bible instructs how to live with hope and love. The structure helps see news events with hope instead of fear.

So much of the news is presented from and encouraging consumers to be siloed. The Pour Over changes the focus of how to think about news in light of the things that really matter.

YES!! Who is the new guy?! I truly do love this news source. It tells me everything I actually need to know, with a Kingdom perspective, and none of the extra sensationalized stuff. That said, the newscasters sound like they are trying to be robots and they do tend to recycle the same scripture references over and over. Today’s newscaster actually spoke like a human and had some tangible personality. Keep up the good work!
