Epitome of why Trump was re-elected
This story shows how superficial, moreover completely idiotic Americans are. The producers were duped bc she’s a “millionaire” but not knowing there is NO Irish royal family, have to look up what a barrister is, then when talking about her Irish background, says Mc something STEIN, then lists name from Kate & Leopold about an ENGLISH Duke, giving any credibility to “life coaches” nothing cracks me up more than how how easily they hand over thousands. Is Mare a crook, of course, but to broadcast this story with zero awareness of how stupid they are is priceless.

Love the show! It’s my new binge!
Just discovered the show! Started with season six and loved it and now going onto the other seasons. I would give it five stars five, there are too many commercials and the commercials are too long for such short episodes. I listen to a lot of podcasts and when I fast forward through the commercials, I usually have to do 90 seconds and with these I have to do a couple of minutes. I will keep listening though because I love the stories! Thank you.

    Great, but!!!
Super ad heavy. The ad breaks are long and frustrating.

    Good podcast!
I really love this podcast, the host has a really nice voice and I love that he gets emotionally involved in these cases and he cares about the victims. The only issue to me is all the ads! There are so many ads it makes it hard to listen to.

    Good content too many commercials
I like the content but they REALLY deliver it slowly. It could be condensed to half the episodes. There are a LOT of commercials.

Love the podcast but I will be that person…
I love the content, but the commercial breaks are lengthy and plentiful. And it’s the same commercials over and over. I understand I could probably sign up for premium but I am not made of money and can’t sign up for every premium podcast company. I get commercials pay the bills, I do, but it just seems like a lot. Nothing against the podcast at all, it’s great.

    Just tell the story
So much nonsense about the host and tangents about how he got the Interviews and craigslists like no one cares and so. Many . Ads. Trying to skip through the boring filler tangents and ads to get to the actual story points but it’s hard and annoying. Ugh

    Turned into copaganda
Half the sixth season is the host and his favorite detective talking condescendingly about how they know retail theft and scam artists so well. There’s an episode about a toupee and invading privacy. “Queen of the Con” spending 20+ minutes telling me about how retail theft is the source of rising costs is rich. It’s definitely not shareholder greed, inflation, and soon tariffs. They even got the thin blue line’s favorite - immigrant gangs. This isn’t “investigative” or even sensational. It’s a bunch of ads and sycophancy for capitalism.

    Feels icky
Michelle Mack season seems like he tried to sound understanding towards homeless people while missing all nuance. Little things like acknowledging the shoplifter’s difficulty getting a job and housing and how money has to be spent differently to survive, then the inclusion of him repeatedly telling her to finish school felt like he did not understand the situation he had just described. Also joking / talking about homeless people like some group of “others”.

    So good!
The host Johnathan is amazing. I binged all 6 seasons. Love it!!!

    Fan since the beginning...but...
I've listened to this podcast since season 1. Like a lot of podcasts. Some seasons are super interesting and others not so much. Host is a good story teller. He feels real and truly invested in finding the truth. But this season is a miss and I'm done. It's drawn out and the endless ads before, during & after the episode make it unbearable. The episodes are only 36 minutes total. Take out 2 minute intro & recap. 11 minutes in ads, 4 to 5 minute end credits and end ads... and it leaves very little time for actual story telling.

    Wow
I am loving listening to this podcast and extremely shocked by these cases of these women con artists. All the episodes are so well done.

    Enjoyable!
Jonathan Walton is a natural host - he has quite an enjoyable way of relaying the info with humor and honesty. This podcast is well written and a great, easy listen. I just found out about it a month ago and already binged the first five seasons and I’m well into the sixth!

    Mixed feelings about this podcast
Good storytelling. Good interviews. Too many commercials - egregious number of commercials. His first season is too close to him. I get why he’s upset but it doesn’t come off how he thinks it does. Additionally, using the mlk quote “long arc towards justice” in relation to fraud and being conned is wild and shows his privilege. That quote has to do with the miscarriage of justice in relation to not having basic human rights as a black person. One would think a gay man wouldn’t be so dense about the meaning.

Ads ruin the enjoyment and suspense
The obnoxious number of ads ruins this brilliant podcast. Feels insulting to be so targeted by so many commercials. Yes, I skip them but the story flow is ruined.
  • Wesley1125
    Keeps you engaged!
Love this podcast! Love, love, love!.
  • narcolepticad
    Interesting tangents
Really enjoy all the tangents that are investigated but can still be connected to the main story. If the host finds something interesting in all his interviews, he is not afraid to get more curious about it and it makes for some great podcasting.

    Almost
    Way too many ads
  • LOVE agoodstory
Love the Host! Love the content! Love the show!
Very entertaining and informative. Shocking to think someone can switch up your phone in seconds. On the edge of my seat . Loved the nutty Brazilian butt girl. These people are shameless and disgusting and NEED TO BE BROUGHT DOWN!!!
  • Mom of 2 farm girls
    Love it!
Johnathan is so good! If you haven’t listened yet you are missing. These stories are just so crazy. You won’t believe what you are hearing. Yet it is all real. Thank you Johnathan and Queen of the Con team! Amazing potcast
  • Sal4416
    Non story
Why are you interviewing security and totally defending the girl and her bf who were stealing for her? She was a con and obviously a drug addict and you were saying cause she got kicked out of her house when she was 18 you should be understanding? He has no journalistic integrity and this story is lame cause he didn’t get a story of her capture. No research done.

    Too many ads
There’s way too many ads now. The newest season was very drawn out when it could’ve been 1-2 episodes.
  • encantoplantlady
    I love the host
I also love Craigslist. Got my husband and dog from there too! Love queen of the con such a fun show.

    Love this podcast
Love this, the host is so funny and I love hearing about all these female con artists, go girl, haha jk
  • AkilahC
    Long time listener no more
Yes the commercials are wild, fast forward. Everyone has to pay the bills. My issue is with the Michelle Mack season and Jonathan’s absolute glee while interviewing the loss prevention officer, after having also listened to the harrowing stories of people who may be in difficult circumstances. It was gross and lacked empathy. Every season since the first has lacked the same quality. Once no longer connected to the story (and I hate that word because it was his LIFE!!), the storytelling has suffered from a lack of intimacy and vulnerability. You can hear it in the vocal style and pedantic writing.

    Excellent
Jonathon is a fun and very talented podcaster. He’s an investigative journalist with a great sense of humor. I have listened to all five seasons of Queen of the Con and am now following season six “California Girls” which is in progress. Very entertaining.
  • LT2024!!
    Barely earned one star
If you like listening to a lot of ads, and I mean a lot, the show is for you. The episodes are filled with fluff material to make them go longer, and the commercial breaks are insanely long. Will not be finishing the series.
  • tcollins126
    It’s alright …
Interesting story, but the show didn’t keep my interest throughout the episodes. I also didn’t like how the host kept going on rabbit trail. I didn’t appreciate the profanity, either. Unnecessary to add f-bombs and Christ’s name in vain throughout. It makes the host appear very unprofessional.
  • CG 202
    Way too stretched out
This guy takes a story that could be told in one 40-minute episode and stretches it into eight with side quests that are only somewhat relevant. The smallest details are beaten over and over again to pad the episode, and the conversations with his producer are so forced and irrelevant. When he went on and on about half the wedding cake going missing in the Michelle Mack season, I had to turn it off and give up. Interesting stories made insipid and overwrought.
  • h201912
    Holy advertisements.
Can’t even continue. More than half the of the episodes are ads. So. Many. Ads.
  • Rbshevlin
    Great job!
Each season gets better and better. Also Jonathan does an amazing job narrating the show. His voice sounds excited and sincere.

    Love it!
Jonathan is the best! Love his conversations with Evan too. The toupe dripping sweat had me cracking up!
  • leira777
    losing steam
past seasons were great, but this new season about michelle mack lacks substance. it’s clear he doesn’t have much to say about this story. it was unbelievable how long he talked about his toupee in the last episode. also, major elitist undertones, and it’s giving “i was wronged by a woman once so now all i talk about is how evil and conniving women are.”
  • $putter$
    Great storyteller
Way too many commercials and repetition
  • Lexibree123
    Too many ads!
Podcast is very well researched and entertaining but there are more ads than content. So while I enjoyed the season I don’t think I’ll listen to another.
  • FrannieB12
    Love
Every season gets better and better!

So fun! And I’m learning a lot!
This is a must listen to podcast. Jonathan is hysterical and he and his friend Evan… they play off of each other so well. Jonathan tells great stories…it’s so entertaining and he gets to talk about a bunch of idiots! Bring on more seasons!
  • Meinmyworld3

    I love every season!

    Way too many ads
I like this podcast but the ratio of ads to actual show time is the most skewed of any show I have ever listened to. Why does this show have SOOOOOOOOOO many ads??? Seriously makes me want to stop listening.
  • cjameche
    Greta, except the commercials.
I have listened to this podcast since it started and I love the stories. But the commercials this season take up more time than the actual content.
  • lcricher
Other seasons were great, this season is enraging
Listening to the host talk to the professional shoplifter was infuriating. Not sure how a journalist can just accept her story hook line and sinker but her excuses and justifications don’t make any sense. He never challenges her at all. It’s absurd.
  • DustyMOP24
    Please stop the laugh track
Love this podcast so much but do not understand why he feels the need to insert his laughter! It’s like a laugh track at this point!! Please, we don’t need to hear you laugh to understand that you’re connecting with the person being interviewed.
  • Zzzzab
    Love this pod
I love this podcast. The stories are so good, engaging, and well researched. I’ve gotten friends and family hooked on it too.

    Too much asmr
I hate all the added audio asmr. So unnecessary. It’s made it unlistenable. Too bad because the story is good.
  • TNelly7
    No wonder you were conned
Talking to a single shoplifting criminal changes your whole perspective on shoplifting/stealing?! No wonder you were conned. And it’s not victimless. Grow up and put some actual time into your research and episodes
