I am currently listing to the detransition episode and it has hit me so hard. I was married to a cis woman for ten years (pre transition) and she use to talk about female erasure. It’s so scary when you realize that within the liberal camp there is a sliver that sees trans people as something to be eliminated. Moreover, their willingness to align with conservative groups to destroy a perceived threat is terrifying when I consider that I shared a home with someone like that for 10 years and the calls were coming from inside the house.

No sir! You are the “science fiction”. We don’t want anti trans laws. We want pro women laws. You want to be a woman, and in the same breath HATE women and want to harm them and their rights. Keep it up. Wait till Title IX gets on your a**! Lindsey can run and have friends without taking a girls spot on the cross country team in college. After all, she only transitioned after probably not being competitive as a boy in HS. And of course in college now wants to compete as a girl. Right???!!! It is ABSOLUTELY a social contagion. Salem Witch Trials are a prime example of people being harmed by a social contagion. Look how much the trans population has increased by multiples. Look how many kids in Hollywood are “trans”. It’s not healthcare. It’s mental illness and the host is ill itself. That’s not hate, it’s REALITY. They don’t like the term social contagion, so they attempt to discredit the idea.

There are no trans kids, without crazy liberal adults. There are kids that need help through childhood and puberty, that were once helped with therapy and the knowledge that kids have phases. Now it’s being handled with hormones and surgeries, messing an entire generation of kids up with crazy rhetoric. “Existence” is the dumbest of the lies. I always learn so much listening to your podcasts. And in this most recent one I found myself riveted to the life of Cam and her family. I’m very glad and relieved that it had a happy ending. I do wonder about the ones who do not have a happy ending. Especially interesting to me was just what is fueling the anti trans disinformation. I really like to know the roots of how these things gather steam. I’m on Twitter and I see so much of it everyday. I follow Amara of course and I call myself Jules. As a new trans woman myself, I have an opposite dynamic, I still haven’t told my kids. It will happen sometime soon. I appreciated hearing more about Dominionism as a source of motivation for Betsy DeVos and her fellow million and billionaires pushing their anti-trans and anti-public school agendas. I’m saddened that they use biblical language in a manner that Christians like myself find so counter to the message of love and inclusion shared by Jesus Christ.

This podcast is ABSOLUTELY required listening and should be for every American. Not only does this podcast do an amazing job breaking down the current anti-trans political climate, but goes much deeper in exposing how Christian extremists are using decades of investment in political power to steer the American government toward chaos and the total breakdown of democracy. That trans people have become a political football for these people is both terrifying and unsurprising. Everyone should be listening to this immediately.
