Please fix the volume issues of your podcast. Some parts of your podcast, and even parts of every sentence/paragraph are so dramatically different in volume that every episode involves ear-blasting shocks as well as “What the heck did he just say? Rewind rewind rewind”-moments. Makes the podcast almost impossible to listen to. Sad to be missing out on your education due to a simple technical oversight.

I’m a longtime reader of the blog, and have to say the podcast is a fantastic addition. If you love learning about the Pacific Northwest, weather, or science, then this is an amazing podcast for you

Excellent, interesting information but very hard to listen to. Cliff swallows the end of every sentence, so either the beginning is too loud or the end is too soft. Then there is the “intermission” between the weather forecast and the weather topic where he blows your ears out! Please fix it, Cliff!

If you live in Washington state and you have any interest it the weather (which is everyone), you owe it to yourself to listen to Cliff Mass' weekly podcast. Mass is a Meteorology professor at the University of Washington and a terrific science communicator. He is able to explain complex scientific concepts in very easy to understand terms. I live in Seattle and am very active in outdoors sports like hiking, mountain biking, climbing, and skiing. Every Saturday morning when I'm driving to the mountains, Mass' podcast is the first one I listen too. In addition to his podcast, Mass has an excellent weather blog which is also worth your time.

JorPet said it for me. Mass explains things so well without talking down to us. Lived in the East and Southeast most of my life. Glad to have him teaching me about NW weather which is so different. I have learned a lot and enjoy his chatty style. Keep it up, Cliff!

Very informative AND entertaining.

Dr. mass does a fantastic job of explaining the complexities of weather science making it so that everyone can understand and relate. Not only a fantastic weekly forecast, but deeper dives in to weather phenomenon that effects the PNW. I look forward to Friday each week to get the low down on incoming weather and an education on a particular weather phenomenon.

Dr. Mass’ show is a must-listen every week. I greatly enjoy hearing not only the current conditions but the details behind local phenomena that we experience or encounter frequently. The concise format is fantastic and easy to pick up and listen to. I highly recommend it!

Honestly, I don’t much about weather forecasts. But Cliff Mass is such a good speaker and anyone who is this passionate about his area of expertise is inspiring. Also, it’s a good place to get interesting topics to use in conversation.

This is only podcast I subscribe to, it’s an abbreviated summary of the following week that gives you a general outlook of WHAT TO EXPECT.

Great way to actually understand the weather! Cliff is a great educator and we’re lucky to have him here in the PNW!

Mostly directed to the Pacific Northwest in the forecast, but the discussion of weather and forecasting is very enlightening. The process of weather forecasting is fascinating.

Explanation of air flows due to atmospheric pressure, and its effects on fire conditions is interesting. I live on the east side of WA., Spokane, and understanding how Eastside weather effects the Westside.

Good weather discussions but amazingly bad views on climate science. Listen for current weather news but turn it off when he goes into full climate science denial mode.

This podcast provides informative and detailed current weather details, forecasts and weather education. The weather education is what I think is compelling and the main differentiator for this podcast.

Evidence based weather and climate observations when we need it most. Thanks for your work!
