The recent guest who decided that St. Francis is Assissi was part of a vast satanic school of occultism was the last straw for me. Although Paul advises us to hold fast to the traditions (teachings) passed on orally, and John points out that Jesus taught more than books can hold, the evangelical show hosts and guests believe that if it ain’t a post-Reformation American Bible Belt form of Christianity, then it’s part of team Satan. So if you are shallow in church history, and don’t care what early Christians actually learned from the apostles you may live this show. If you’re part of the billion believers who know that teachings were transmitted in sermons from martyrs, in graffiti on the catacomb walls, in the Didache, in hymns and prayers— then you may want to pass on this show because you will hear over and over again how 19th century American theology is true and the teachings your church has defended with it’s blood for two millennia are really a satanic conspiracy. If these folks can look at the life of Francis of Assissi and see evil, I can’t trust them to discern what Bigfoot and UFOs are.

Show has gone downhill quite rapidly. Shorter episodes, rehashing the same material, constantly cutting off guests and obnoxious advertisement interruptions throughout.

Continually talks over guests, maybe trying to be funny? The guests are the ones who are interesting.

Never seen a podcast like this before can you do one about Ezekiel?

I always learn something fascinating when I listen to one of these episodes. Makes me see the scriptures in new ways.

I have grown up in the church, and have never felt like I was able to ask questions. And I was left with so many questions with history and many of the things that were written. I finally feel like I’m getting some answers and plugging many of the holes. On top of that, I’m stretching my perception on reality. Great stuff

Good content, bad audio. Guests are at on volume and the hosts are at a different volume. It’s hard to listen to with EarPods.

Interesting perspective, I enjoy it. I’ve moved from skeptical to open to the idea.

Like Biblical podcasts this one brings on low expectations of lack luster theologians, wash and repeat guests. The show peaked in its first 22 months, now it’s on the spiral of late night televangelists selling Holy water. Semi secular podcasts (the confessionals) do a lot better.

Update-Nov 2024: Wow! Laura Sanger just brought the juice from ancient Egypt and back. Oh my goodness. I’m still loving this podcast. Thank you! /oct 2024-A kid came to do some warranty work on my house and was listening to the Book of Enoch episode and I had to inquire about what he was listening to. I found the episode, got hooked, and am loving every episode so far. Still have a lot of Juice to catch up on and hear about but I’m getting there. Just started episode 13. Love these conversations. Thank you for exploring these topics.

When Tim Alberino says super whack stuff, like truly insane stuff, it somehow makes sense the way he says it. I don’t really get it, but I’m here for it. Blurry Creatures is always a great listen.

Love this show! I laugh, I cry, I truly enjoy it. Every week I find something new to think about and different answers to my burning questions. I may later dismiss an idea, but I really enjoy the process of thinking things through from a different perspective.

lol I came here for outlandish stories, now my faith in God has grown and keeps getting deeper thanks to these guys.

Nate and Luke are fantastic hosts! They make the guests and listeners feel right at home. The subject content is so diverse - yet at the end of the day they return to the truth of the gospel and the fact that no matter how blurry things get, Jesus wins. Shout out to John Crist, he’s the reason I discovered y’all. God bless!

Sometimes entertaining. The mid-sentence, sneak attack ad placement is annoying. Done so to grab attention before your finger can get to the skip button. Doesn’t work.

“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.” I’ve been loving the show and the exploration of God, the supernatural, and Christ “the blurriest creature of all”. The divine dreams episode is so powerful. I’ve always thought my faith was strong but that episode made me realize how little my faith really is. Jesus is Lord and will make himself known. And are you willing to suffer, or willing to die for him if persecution is required? That hit me so hard. Thanks for the podcast and delving into the unseen things to try and make sense of it.

This pod has helped me work through so many questions I’ve had regarding the supernatural through a biblical lens. The boys always reference paradigm shifters and I couldn’t agree more! I recommend this podcast to any and all curious/critical thinkers out there. Full disclosure, not only will it open your eyes to how amazing our Creator is, but how you see the modern world will most definitely change!

I struggle to take a podcast seriously when one of their biggest guests is a guy that cosplays as Indiana Jones. Entertaining content? But it’s people like Mr. Indiana Jones that tarnish the work by Hancock and Carlson. Do better.

I am a new listener to Blurry Creatures. I have binged episodes for the last few months since being introduced to Nate and Luke through The Confessionals podcast. My dad has always talked about Genesis 6, the Nephelim, and the book of Enoch. I would just give him side eye when he spoke of these things. After listening, and diving deeper into the Bible, I realize there is SO much more than I have been taught in church! My mind is BLOWN! I can’t get enough! I have even sent some episodes to my Dad! Love the podcast and please keep the episodes coming!

Interesting and informative podcasts about relevant topics, and I enjoy listening to them and discussing with others. I have learned a lot about the past and how it is so important to our now and our future. Hi guys! So I discovered your show after hearing the appearance on Hard Proof. I have been on the fence about my relationship to God, the Bible, the church etc because I have had so many questions about how the Bible can be reconciled with what I know of science. This podcast is what I needed. Your show has brought me so much closer to God and aligned me on my journey to Christ. Thank you for all you do and please keep up the good fight!

I love the show! It seems over the past few months, the show has taken a different turn. The hosts speak over the guests and don’t allow them to finish answering the question. The show has become more commercial and less raw and natural. And while I appreciate them trying to make everything fit within the context of scripture, it is becoming more esoteric in nature. I think if the hosts pick an identity and stick with it and not try to cover all things ‘Blurry’ it might be better. They go from having a show that talks about the authenticity of God and the Bible, to somebody shooting Bigfoot, to Mount Herman and the Watchers, to mermaids. Just doesn’t fit IMO.

About 2 years ago, I asked the Lord “Who are the Nephilim?” I took the red pill, and down the rabbit hole I went. Like you guys, I had no idea where it would lead but thanks to you and so many of your guests many of the pieces to the mosaic have clicked into place. LOVE YOU for creating this vitally important platform for these conversations. I have told several people about you and we all enjoy our BC discussions.

I love this show and there really is nothing like it out there. We are living in strange, unprecedented times and Blurry Creatures helps make sense of it all from a biblical world view. I love that the guys present these wild stories but you can tell their perspective is rooted in Christ. I love the variety of experts they have on the show as well. My husband and I are happily supporting the show as members. Keep up the good work, guys!

My favorite podcast! Very informative and I’m thankful it’s from a biblical prospective.

I really really enjoy the show and want to give it five stars. The guests are great and the ideas that the hosts have are great. There is one problem that continually drive as my wife and I crazy. The hosts will talk over the guest and interrupt the guest and each other and just keep talking forever without letting people answer questions. Several times the last episode I listened to, one of the hosts asked the guest a question, but then answers it himself before the guest can, makes a couple additional observations, responds to his own additional observations… At the end of this supposed five minute question the guest has nothing to say. I think the show functions best when the guests are allowed to answer interesting questions, not necessarily when the hosts just soapbox themselves in circles. Thanks fellas.

Love the show! I have shared multiple episodes with family and friends. Especially love this episode with the writers of Nefarious. Great film and every single person should go see it and then listen to this episode. I have always known that the Hollywood weirdo stuff is real. Why wouldn’t it be? But I honestly listened all the way to the end because my friend knows that my neighborhood is infested with stray cats and I hate it. So, when she said that the cats were mentioned I had to listen. Victorville cats leading a man home and to Christ may be the best thing they have ever done. But, seriously, where did all these cats come from?

Always anticipating the next show great podcast

I started off enjoying this podcast very much, entertained by the content on Bigfoot, UFOs, etc. However, I grow very weary of guests who espouse gnostic knowledge of modern-day dispensational theology, holding the Bible in one hand and the newspaper in the other. For those less familiar with the Scriptures and a proper hermeneutic, it sounds quite studied and intellectual but it’s really a deep dive into conflation and equivocation…dispensational theologians have a way of denying theological concepts that are derived from a clear reading of Scripture but then turn around and develop an esoteric, complex eschatology that distracts from true discipleship. It’s Christian sophistry, perhaps without the intent to deceive, but it does sell well with its gnostic exegesis, making it’s intent more questionable.

This is my favorite podcast! I listen to every episode and then discuss it with my 14 year old son. It’s expanded my mind and made the Bible come to life!

This podcast started out awesome, with a fascinating mix of guests including both scholars and regular folks. I told friends about it and even bought a yard sign. But they moved all the most exciting "open line Friday" type eyewitnesses reports behind a paywall, while leaving the dense academic talks for the free episodes. And most of those are with the same half dozen guests. For context, there are whole podcast networks that give you access to multiple podcasts for less $ than what Blurry Creatures is asking. Lowering the paywall would probably also reduce the stress on them, which is how a lot of creators burn out eventually. Anyways, three stars.
