Elverta_SteveGood podDoes he try to sell his guidebook.? Yes. Who cares. This podcast is full of awesome information and his insight is top notch. I absolutely love Yellowstone and this podcast helped me find and research new areas of the park. Very informative.

Derry P20 minutes in and I’m ExhaustedLet me sum up the general message I’m catching on this podcast: “There are two things more awesome than Yellowstone. One is my guidebook about Yellowstone and the other is me.” I have to hope there is good information on this podcast. The 15-20 minutes of the April 2024 update I listened to actually were a bit helpful in understanding BMAs, BUT things were repeated so much, and the self promotion and infomercial for “the best Yellowstone guidebook in the world” just put me to a point of exhaustion. Go check out some others if you’re looking for good info on Yellowstone. There are plenty out there.
-
Kim AchesonIt’s an adBasically he is just selling his guidebook.
-
fbieb12Long Commercial for guidebookI appreciate the need for him to advertise his guidebook but it’s a bit much. I am sure that there’s great info in the guidebook and I will probably purchase the book but the podcast is painful.
-
CrisDuncanGreat infoI consider myself pretty well versed in most things Yellowstone. I can’t even count all the times we have been there nor how many miles of back country I have hiked. I purchased the guide book referenced in the podcast just as a polite way of supporting the podcast. Wow! I found two things I never knew about. Plus, the book has a QR code that takes you to the “secret” videos. This podcast is worth your time and the book is a must purchase. Thanks for creating the podcast!

High1957Great infoPlanning family trip in late July. This and guide book have been extremely helpful. To the person who can’t find you tube video…. You have to scan the url code in back of book. If you have a smart phone open photos and focus on url. A web address will pop up hit that and it will take you to videos.
-
LisamerrellVideosHey stormlover757-I wish you had reached out to us for info on the video library, we just now saw this review. It is private library and can only be accessed by a code we email to buyers of the guidebook. We sell nearly all of our books via our website and unfortunately failed to consider people who purchase the guidebook at the Book Peddler. We have since started including a QR code in the guidebook to link to the videos, but you got a older version without it-our apologies for our initial oversight!!! Email us and we will email you the access link. You can find our email address on the last page of the guidebook.

stormlover757Great podcast BUTHe constantly tries to sell the guidebook…hey, enough already!!….so I bought the guidebook at the bookstore he talks about in West Yellowstone MT…. It’s good info, however I see NO WAY to access the “private” you tube videos of the park he constantly talks about… he mentions how buying the book gives you access but “how..”….I have searched everywhere on google and you tube..not sure the videos are real or not….beware!!

Eric J WynnStop Pushing Your BooksAn enjoyable audio presentation HOWEVER, I do not want to keep hearing I need to buy the book for further explanation and greater detail. Either do a great podcast or not. A great podcast teases me to buy the book. Pushing me to buy a book does not. Otherwise a very well voiced podcast and I will listen to more as I prep for my trip to Yellowstone this summer.

cdierzenMust have for Yellowstone park. These podcasts and the guidebook that goes along with them are a total must have for any trip to Yellowstone national park. Not only will teddy get you to the coolest spots in the park (and with the least amount of people), but he also gives you the best Info for lodging, eating, and shopping during your trip. Every place he has sent me both in the park and out have been amazing, I can not recommend it enough, If you what to have a amazing time in Yellowstone make sure you listen and pick up the guidebook.
-
ScoobydewsDon’t go to Yellowstone without listening to these podcasts and buying the book!We have thoroughly enjoyed listening to these podcasts for the past six months leading up to our trip to Yellowstone and of course purchase the book. I can’t say enough good things about this. My husband and I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to all of the podcasts and reading the book. Our trip has been vastly improved over what we would’ve done if we didn’t have Teddy’s knowledge! We celebrated our 31st wedding anniversary at one of his recommended restaurants and even went out to Wade Lake and kayaked today and it was absolutely beautiful! Thanks for putting this all together for us!
-
Dorian_ the_ hikerBest Yellowstone podcastI love this podcast and can’t wait to go later this year! I’m also hoping I run into him in town so I can sit down and buy him a bear.
-
jimhallhdgMy kids love Teddy G.Everything we saw was “Top Notch” according to my kids and I agree. We listened to the podcasts, bought the guidebook, explored Yellowstone like a local and had an awesome time! Thanks Teddy, my kids were thrilled to be hiking on the same trails as you. Gibbon Falls was amazing!

Jen 13244Convicted of illegal activity in YellowstoneThe host of this podcast has been convicted of illegal activities including violating park closures, trespassing on thermal grounds; violating swimming closures and cliff jumping; creating “hot pots in rivers;” and disturbing wildlife. He encourages other visitors to do the same. He isn’t someone one should take advice for visiting Yellowstone from.
-
GTNP_filmA podcast by someone convicted of disrespecting YellowstoneHard to take someone seriously when they were just convicted of 15 counts of illegal activities and violating national park regulations. There are too many other good Yellowstone-based podcasts to listen to compared to this.
-
YellowstoneProtectorUnauthorized Yellowstone park guide sentenced for illegal activities“Teddy” has a social-media page, a podcast, and a guidebook. All three have overlapping pictures and posts about his guided tours in YNP, which violated closures and other park regulations and encouraged visitors to do the same. Some of the examples included providing unauthorized guided tours; trespassing on thermal grounds; violating swimming closures and cliff jumping; creating “hot pots in rivers;” and disturbing wildlife. THEODORE EUGENE GARLAND, age 60 of Edmond, Oklahoma was sentenced on seven counts of illegal activities and violations in Yellowstone National Park (YNP). Garland appeared in front of Magistrate Judge Mark L. Carman in Mammoth Hot Springs, Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming on July 2, 2021, for the sentencing. “Teddy” was sentenced to a seven day jail sentence; a total of $600 in fines and fees; a one-time payment of $500 to Yellowstone Forever Geological Resource Fund; and a ban from Yellowstone National Park until December 31, 2021. He was also ordered to write an introduction/forward to his guidebook communicating respect for the park and removing references of illegal activity by July 16, 2021. Garland will serve five years of unsupervised probation and shall “not promote violations of laws in the national parks in any way.

SouthernFlipperAnyone else? This guy is so full of himself! His attitude is so off-putting that I couldn’t get past a couple of episodes before turning him off and unfollowing. On the search now for someone with better information and a more humble personality.
-

Kms8808All national parks need a TedTed’s voice and stories kept us great company during our trip to Yellowstone. And even afterwards, we couldn’t quit him. NO, we didn’t get to the gate early (sorry Ted!) but we had an excellent time nonetheless. Key to our enjoyment of the park was not being stupid idiots around bears, thanks to Ted’s warnings. We followed many of his great tips on parking and avoiding crowds, even though some idiots were just unavoidable. We even made a pilgrimage to the Episcopal church in Jackson Hole to the spot of Ted’s first experience with a woman.
-
suzygrand99Top Notch podcastI found this podcast 2 weeks before our trip to Yellowstone in Early July 2020 and am so glad I did. Not only is Teddy a great storyteller, but his tips about getting there early, how to go to avoid the crowds, and other Yellowstone factoids are priceless. One of my husband’s best memories of Yellowstone will be sitting in the “hot-pot” (nature’s hot tub) that Teddy discovered under Mystic Falls. We would have loved to have hired him as our guide but sadly, he was out of town on the day we arrived.
-
lex_xo_Great insight! There is so much great information in this podcast! If you’re going to yellowstone listen to this podcast.
-
marzyh90Teddy knows Yellowstone!Love Teds adventures! He knows so much about the park that know one else knows! He’s very animated when speaking so not a dull moment. You can hear how much he knows/loves Yellowstone because of the passion in his stories.
-
MaeGibRacist“Orientals” ??? Apple, please remove this racist man’s podcast.
-
bfallenThe Great OutdoirsBeen following Ted and his passion for the Outdoors, Ted’s father, took many of his family and friends to appreciate the beloved country in all the World. From the Green River, Snake River to Madison, we caught trout and enjoyed the beautiful Countryside.
-
j_potts20So ready for our vacation! The stories are great, but Teddy’s passion for nature and his love for the park really shine through on this podcast. My wife and 2 boys leave for Yellowstone in July (no choice on the date, if we were going to go). I have already purchased his guidebook and can’t wait to keep planning. Great work!
-
