LIKEGHEEThank you for the main podcast I listen to.I know it must be difficult to do it as often as you do. The more listeners you get, the more you spread the message. I’m grateful you don’t get too political too, because you’re message is better, more encompassing and more needed. That’s what made Hare Krishna’s great - they had a message neither side could embrace without some humility.
-
lrpetWonderful Podcast for all spiritual seekers!Kaustubha and Raghunath open the door to the bonafide path of self discovery through wisdom that is thousands of years old, and presented in today’s language with humility, humor, and guided insight to discover one’s TRUE SELF. My family thanks you. I started from the very beginning, although it’s now 2024 I am only in 2021 over 1 1/2 months of listening #394, but am so appreciative of this journey and looking forward to abundantly more powerful growth. Give it a chance. Open up. Trade in your expectations for appreciations. “The fact that we are dissatisfied with matter is an indication that we are beyond matter (we are spirit). Use the material world to release ourselves from the material world.” Hare Krishna! Love, blessings, and aloHA!

Jaunty_GuySacred teachings delivered in a cheerful & chill vibeRaghu & Kasthuba provide a fresh rendition of the Srimad Bagavatam. Don’t let their colloquial, New York delivery fool you on their devotion & wisdom of the Hindu scriptures. These guys are the modern day teachers making their own sauce on ancient wisdom 🙏🙏✨

PizzapantsThe most important part of my morningI have been listening since pretty much the beginning and this show quickly became a crucial and core part of my daily sadhana. I look to Raghunath, Kaustubha, and Mara on a daily basis to be a compass for my spiritual journey. No matter where my head is upon waking (usually scattered and distressed) my boat seems to at least be pointed back in the proper direction after the show has finished. What you are doing here is extremely important and I thank you so very much.

Su4SSuch a gemMy name is Sofia, I’m also one of the “others”. I’ve been listening to the WOTS since last year, probably around September. I went back with “fomo” and started on episode 1. I listen to the podcast daily and I am still trying to catch up with previous episodes. Absolutely recommend this podcast to someone who’s just new to Bhakti and wanting to understand more about it. Plus Ragu, Kaustubha and even Mera and so fun to start the day with. Thank you for this podcast.

TomageA Daily Dose of Transformative Transcendental Literature & WisdomI’ve been listening to this podcast since its inception in January 2020, that’s 1000+ episodes. The hosts, Raghunath and Kaustubha’s personalities play off each other well, and they draw you, not only into the spiritual literature they explore, but also into a larger community of spiritual seekers. The philosophy they espouse recognizes everyone is in a different place on the spiritual journey and they’ve masterfully created a connection that meets people where they are, but also challenges them to be open to moving upward and onward - growing and expanding their consciousness. Ultimately, its a path of love (bhakti) and the host’s commitment to a daily podcast exemplifies that principle. I also appreciate that they don’t claim to know it all, but they bring on experts as guests to delve deeper in everything from grief, addiction, meditation, and cooking. Check it out, open your heart and mind, you won’t regret it.

Rock Creek Dave 82Most Uplifting Podcast-Wisdom of the SagesIf there is one word I can use to describe the Wisdom of the Sages podcast, I would say, ‘uplifting’. Combining the ancient wisdom of the sages of India and the Vedas with contemporary philosophy and scholarly wisdom from all over the world, including both western and eastern theology, Raghunath and Kaustubha have created a show as solemnly inspiring and motivational as it is entertaining and often humorous. The show provides a sincere, sophisticated approach to learning about and reading the Srimad Bhagavatam and the Bhagavad Gita and applying it’s wisdom practically to our lives today in the modern world, while at the same time making it fun to learn and never dry. I would recommend this show to anyone, and listening daily has made a major positive impact on my life. I love starting my day out with WOS. You gotta check it out! -David Murray

Govind BoloA man needs a maidI found out about this podcast back in April and I’ve been binging every day since. Some how Raghunath came to mind (probably readin something about hardcore) and i gave him a search because i honestly didn’t know anything about him other than he sang in bands. I don’t binge 1 or 2 episodes but sometimes 8. I’m a letter carrier and mostly walk half a marathon a day so I need something to keep my mind clean and distract myself from the monotony of shoving advertisements in tiny door slots or far off mailboxes. I’m drawn to this podcast because every day my heart gets a little cleaner listening to it. I can’t hire a maid to clean up my heart so listening to spiritual wisdom will have to be my path. Thank you all.
-
ypyogiPractical understanding of vedasThis podcast is a beautiful conversation on the core concepts behind Bhagavad Gita. I found this gem through Joe Rogan podcast and now has become a daily listening experience.

Lisa Tuttle in MaineGrateful for WOTS and the community, but relentless male privilege is boringI’ve been a listener and zoomer and community supporter of Wisdom of the Sages for over a year now and I’m grateful for the door that it opened into Bhakti yoga and the divine love of Radha/Krishna. Their requirement to chant at least one round of the astounding Maha Mantra for zoomers opened actual physical blocks around my heart and continues to deepen, in miraculous ways. I am truly grateful and hope my daily practice continues to deepen for the rest of my life. It may really save your life. But a word of warning that reading and hearing ‘by men, for men, about men’ day after day will definitely require you to develop a strong stomach and steady mind. Patriarchy, the infrastructure of male supremacy, was instituted (according to anthropology, archeology, and now genetic analyses) about 5000 years ago, and put in place through violence and coercion, sustained through socialization since. The texts and purports are clearly part of the socializing vehicle. I have to keep moving through all this sexist and sometimes openly misogynistic nonsense to get to the actual divine teachings. Deeper, in the more ‘confidential’ aspects we finally find the divine feminine in her glittering form; and it is clearly stated that to worship Krishna without Radha is a waste of time, they cannot exist apart. But these much more interesting teachings are not spoken of much at all. Krishna is reduced to ‘him’ to ‘lord’ and the divine feminine is made his aspect. It cannot be correct that unlike all else in the universe, god is one sided, has only one pole; this is an old trick we see repeated in other traditions to help keep the social order. Aren’t you tired of it yet? I am. It is probably one of the best podcasts you will ever spend your time on, but I sincerely wish the increasingly boring eye of male supremacy could be challenged openly by the crew. It would be so interesting to know how the women of that time, who were stripped of power and rank to become appendages and property, sustained their faith and devotion, and what the female sages taught. We see some, like Sati, who chose to leave rather than stay, I’m afraid that may be the fate of others in this time too.

AmberAppUserI gave it a try and I’m hooked.I didn’t know what I was looking for when I found this podcast, I just knew I needed something different to fill my life and mind than what I had been consuming. I was burnt out, exhausted from listening to the news cycle, overwhelmed with hearing blaming, othering, bickering and negativity. I didn’t do any research about Wisdom of The Sages, or the hosts of the show – I just went to the beginning and listened to the first episode. The more I listened the more I heard ideas that resonated with me, sounded familiar to my own thoughts about how to live a kind and connected life, and paths to connect with people who are also seeking satisfied and purposeful lives. For the first time I was exposed to a spiritual path that does not focus on judgment and guilt but instead focuses on love, connection and offering the gifts you have to the world around you. I listen to the show every day, and join the live broadcast on Zoom. Starting each day with a dose of spiritual contemplation is the most effective way I’ve found to keep the bigger picture in mind and approach each day with an open heart. I’m taking my spiritual journey one day at a time and at my own pace but feel more calm, confident and connected to the world than I did before discovering this path because I have the right context for me personally to accept there is a loving force that connects all living things. At the time of this writing I’ve been listening for just over two months, but I feel like Bhakti has been in my head and heart for my entire life. Since listening to that first episode I have focused on changing the way I interact with the world, have been able to better manage chronic anxiety and have worked through some of the worst career related burnout I’ve ever experienced. Outside of the show I’ve been exploring tools to make the time I spend with myself more meaningful, and have deepened my yoga and meditation practice. I’ve been open to connecting with people in my daily life about spirituality and their connection with a higher power. I’ve shared this podcast with some friends and family who are at different places on their spiritual journeys, and who are either dedicated to or come from different spiritual paths. They all find value in the topics discussed here. I think no matter where you’re coming from, at, or on your way to, the messages and discussions shared here have deep meaning and are an important addition to the conversation about our collective values.

🙏. Andrew S .❤️Listen to this every day :)The greatness in this podcast is not understood by anything you will can experience with in your material senses(although it is quite relishable like ice cream). It hits you on a deeper level than material words can place. The greatness of these conversations in sharing the wisdom of the sages is that, these vibrations inspires all to work to invite the depthless pool of divine connection into your deepest self. It seems to very often speak to me about something that I am working within myself correlating exactly the conversation on the podcast. The right words at the right time Thank you so much Please except my respects to all that bring this podcast together.
