I really like how genuine both of the hosts are in their presentation and they have a great dynamic that keeps me engaged and wanting more! Jenn is endearingly kooky while still being relatable and Kim is solid in her sense of self while still being flexible — I am here for it all!

When did you stop trying? Today’s episode was just so unpleasant. This used to be a podcast I loved to listen to, but lately all you do is, I don’t know exactly? complain? I mean, you still have your followings and I hope they stay with you. I wish you luck.

I’ve just spent the day listening to episode after episode and recommend spending time with Kim and Jennifer if you need to process current events. I’m between their ages, and loved hearing their perspectives. Kim is like the older sister I never had!

I know that if I listen to a podcast and laugh at the first episode I hear, I will usually love the podcast. That’s the case here. I love these women.

It is beyond comforting to hear your voice on a Monday morning and it makes me all the more grateful that there are these things-in-the-future-that-is-somehow-our-now-called-podcasts that make me feel like I’m listening to a friend or two from my ‘80s past. I wasn’t sure at first if this was my kind of podcast because even though I’m in my late forties I don’t do much in terms of skincare and makeup. But what I love is that hosts Jenn and Kim talk about everything from skincare and fashion to politics and news and pop culture and make it all interesting, even if it’s not a topic I’d normally be interested in. I love their interviews and have found new books to read from them but also the chat episodes and especially how honest they both are about their lives without it ever feeling sensationalized.

I love these women. I look forward to Mondays!!!! The best is when it’s just the 2 of them. With so much fakery on social media, they are so authentic. Please don’t change!!

So this is my favorite kind of podcast but please someone tell them we don’t use the term masseuse to refer to licensed massage therapists!

The amount of "yeah. no." responses from bith of them in every episode is staggering. Please ladies, go back and listen. I got through one episode, barely. I started the second and had to stop. Yeah, no. I can't do it.

I found this podcast a few months ago when listening to Kim’s interview on the “Her Money” podcast. Now I am hooked. I have gone back and listened to older episodes as well. I have recommended to family friends and family members. Listening is like being part of a friendship. You laugh and I smile throughout the episode. You may even pick up a tip or two. But just like being with friends, you don’t need to agree with everything. Just enjoy and be grateful.

The only podcast that makes me laugh out loud. Please don’t get super organized! Don’t hire a mean producer! Just keep doing what you’re doing. Love it.

As a Sassy and Lucky Mag reader, when I first heard Kim France was cohosting a podcast, I knew I had to listen. And listen I have, since episode one. I just love EIF. As a 50+, Gen X woman, EIF hits all the right notes for me. Topics discussed are spot on. And Kim and Jen (and previously Tally) have such great rapport, whether with just themselves, or with their guests. I highly recommend!

I love this podcast, Jen and Kim talk about the real ups and downs of getting older. I love how they find the good in aging and embrace it but they also can’t help griping about it too. They also just crack me up! I really laugh out loud.

LOVE these ladies and they make my Mondays SO much better AND they need to get some real skincare people on. Suggestions: look up Angie Hot and Flashy on youtube. She is a gem. Lots of derms that wld be good but no idea if they are over 40. I like Dr. Sam Bunting (Brit) and Dr. Sam Ellis (maybe too young). Trinny Woodall wld be a FABULOUS guest, as would Liz Earl (both are Brits with big US following and both have current books to promote. Still I LOVE LOVE LOVE these gals 💜

I recently found this podcast, and without a doubt, it is now my favorite! I have learned a lot from them about art, culture, and the world of beauty for older women. I discovered this podcast through the cat marnell interview. I had no intention of becoming a listener. Especially being on the younger side of the target demographic. Kim and Jen have totally won me over! They’re funny, smart, witty, and totally authentically themselves. Love their perspective on life and pretty much everything else. I love this podcast and talk about it with everyone who will listen. Kim and Jenn- you took it to the next level with your conversation with Lucy Sante. I loved everything about it and would have been happy listening to all of you talk for hours. Lucy is inspiring, and having her on your podcast brings awareness to the fact that all women have a voice and a female perspective, regardless of their path to womanhood.

…and I never write reviews, but while spending time in the deep back catalogue of episodes without guests (my favorites by far, TBH; you two are by far the most entertaining voices!), I felt so seen when Kim recommended my favorite near-forgotten novelist, Laurie Colwin. Just another example —there are dozens!— of how much I relate to both of you, which, again, never happens to me. Thanks so much for being my imaginary, age-appropriate friends. :)

I’m 32 and now addicted to the pod. As y’all discuss your various gripes with aging, I find myself really looking forward to it! I know I’ll be just as annoyed to find more wrinkles year by year, but it feels like listening along is shining a light on the years of womanhood that are less explored in media and culture. I look forward to listening to this podcast whenever I can. Kim & Jen express so well the ups and downs of midlife womanhood, as well as pop culture and the world. They are totally relatable and have a great insights rolled up in great sense of humor. I’m always in a better place after getting in an episode of EIF! Like having coffee with your BFF. I enjoy the EIF Facebook community too. I hope to meet these people in real life someday.

OK- I just listened to the Ho Ho Hum episode -12/11/23 and wanted to write another review and just realized that maybe I didn’t even send this first one! It still stands but after today’s podcast, both of your honesty about parenting teens, BO, young men today, the wish that there were clothes designed to fit a older woman’s body properly and having a beginners mind when starting new again in career/life is so refreshing and needed. So many outstanding topics today! I would love to try to make it work to see you if there is a live show in LA. Keep going!

I love how funny, smart and real they are!! I’m only 32 but I still get so much out of it.

I started listening to this recently after reading Kim’s Blog for years and it is so funny and full of tidbits that I (as a 49 yr old woman) NEED TO KNOw! Honestly not sure how I functioned before this podcast.

Kim and Jenn are witty, wise and blunt and listening to them is like having some cool friends for whom no subject is off-limits. I listen while I walk, laughing loudly enough to make people give me strange looks.

The dry senses of humor and no nonsense approach to aging are just a tiny nugget of gold in a much larger treasure. The number of product recommendations and life advice I’ve gleaned has been immeasurable.

I look forward to each show like an email from a best friend. Love Kim and Jens chemistry, intelligence and ability to dance from deep questions of existence and self acceptance to face serum and underwear. This episode with Alex ?? While I work, Jen and Kim’s banter feels like listening to friends and gives me some much needed laughs and vigorous head nodding. Kim, why are you taking prescription stimulants if you are not diagnosed with an attention deficit disorder? Especially when there’s a shortage affecting so many who do have this diagnosis.

I love the banter. I love the laughing. I love the tensions and the hard discussions. The guests are fabulous (except one a a few years ago ahem! Who seemed to be quite under the age demographic and made me roll my old-lady eyeballs and feel very get-off-my-lawn but I’ll forgive that) and compelling and wise and funny. I really enjoyed Tally’s gentle and analytical perspectives but I also have loved the chemistry between Jen and Kim - and as I’ve mentioned on a comment on Facebook, every time I hear Kim’s voice my brain conjures up Big-era Elizabeth Perkins and Jen’s conjures Laura Dern. Is that super weird? Oh well. Keep up the greatness - you are doing the lord’s work (and by that I mean that “lord” = the great goddess).

EIF is the only podcast I truly look forward to listening to. As someone in their 50s, I find Jen and Kim completely relatable and listening to them is like having a fulfilling conversation with great friends. I have been enjoying catching up with listening to all of your podcasts! What makes it especially enjoyable is how Kim and Jen’s voices create a listening counterpoint: Jen’s vivacious sound contrasts perfectly with Kim’s deadpan delivery. 😍. I am a big Lucky Magazine fan. I think Lucky was the last women’s/fashion paper magazine that I subscribed to, as the dawn of the digital age slowly crept upon the scene. Since childhood, starting with fishing “Cosmop” out of my neighbor’s trash as a preteen, magazines were my visual scrapbook and inspiration boards. (I couldn’t pronounce Cosmopolitan at the time, so I called it Cosmop.). Could you talk about magazine cover models in an upcoming episode? What I’m talking about is how women’s magazines always had models as their “cover girls;” then one day, celebrities ruled magazine covers. I remember the shift as a Lucky subscriber! Also, I wanted to add that it is a joy to listen to the both of you because you are both great listeners! Have you ever had friends who talk over others, and when you finally get a chance to talk, either the topic of conversation has changed, or the big mouth suddenly thought of something else to ramble about?! It is great to hear an equal conversation, spoken and listened, like a great tennis match!
