I have loved this podcast since Brave New Work, with Aaron and Rodney. While I appreciate Sam and Rodney now, there’s a lot of time spent talking about how “mean” Rodney is to Sam. It’s strange and distracting.

Rodney and Sam have natural chemistry and always look at the why and how of organizational processes and decisions. I recommend this to everyone I work with and I love seeing their eyes light up when they realize they’re not alone in wanting to change how we work!

Been a fan since Brave New Work and the podcast just keeps getting better. Sam and Rodney are doing such a great job of pulling out real workplace dilemmas that feel super timely, sharing their take on why they arise, and then offering a different take on how to address them. This is likely the best mashup podcast on organization design, change management, business agility, and work place therapy out there. If not, tell me because I’ve consumed this for 4 years running and have found significant value from it. Why is it amazing? The hosts (Rodney and Sam) totally are master practitioners of this space. They hit a topic in such a brilliant way you wonder “do they listen when I talk to Alexa/Siri?” Beyond being in your head, they break down where you are likely getting stuck on topics and provide a way forward. They consistently offer practical experience from their end and they do so with humor. Yes, they make org design funny and enjoyable, can it get better than that? I think not. If I didn’t have kids to feed, then I would give my excess earnings to them because they have helped me earn it. Yes, the title is misleading but blame Apple for their poor UI on how you view reviews on your phone. I did not want to miss the chance to share this good news with you.

…there is! Sam and Rodney are a breath of fresh air for people trying to implement a human first approach to their everyday lives at work. Hearing their thoughts and actionable insights makes me feel less alone in the world of making work a better place! Would highly recommend!

I listen and love lots of podcasts but this is my very first podcast review. Why? This one is worth the effort. I share Brave New World episodes often. I borrow inspiration from the topics shared here to try to do better work in the world. I feel validated on my darker consulting days. And dare I say, listening to the hosts Aaron and Rodney’s hilarious transformation SME banter and dynamic makes for the most fun and familiar faciliatator debrief sessions. Have been listening and learning for about a year now, and I’m constantly recommending to colleagues. Has helped spark a lot of interesting conversations and changes in my workplace and work. Rodney and Aaron are fun, witty, deeply knowledgeable and really, really good at creative metaphors.

TLDR; Brave New Work had a major impact on my life. These conversations between Aaron and Rodney entertain and delight me as they help to combat my imposter syndrome and salve my nervous system. Hearing them share publicly what I’m often thinking alone, gives me confidence in standing in my unorthodox thoughts and maintaining strong boundaries with my clients. I lean into not saying what I think the client wants to hear, but instead what will help them move forward. I’ve turned to this podcast in moments of pure rage, ultimate frustration, and painstaking doubt to remember the capacity for holding polarity with compassion is Brave New Work. As a decade-plus middle manager, I have long sensed the untapped potential of doing better in our organizations. The Brave New Work podcast has become an indispensable resource for my personal growth as a collaborator, leader, and all-around human. The hosts and guests consistently prompt me to question my beliefs about working with other people in ways which feel opinionated and earned but non-confrontational. I always finish each episode with ideas to explore, things to try, and new ways of thinking about dynamics at work. It’s completely reshaped the way I think about coming together with other people to get things done.

This podcast has changed the way I work and the way my team works. Rodney, Aaron and guests have given me incredible ideas and experiments to bring back to my team and we have metamorphosized (is this a word?) into a healthier more productive team unencumbered by the professional fetters that have been tying us down for years. The mix of theory and clear actionable ideas has really helped transform our workplace. We’ll worth a listen!

Fantastic podcast!

I’d not heard of the Ready until a few months ago but am now a huge fan of this podcast and the work they do. There are a lot of people talking about how the workplace is changing. Nobody is talking about the future of work with the clarity of vision that the Ready is bringing. Every episode gives me not just ideas about WHAT the future of work could look like, but practices for HOW orgs can change today. Plus, Aaron and Rodney…delightful!

If you believe business maintaining the status quo is unacceptable, this podcast is a must-listen. Aaron and Rodney take big issues around organization design and provide a conceptual framework for why and how to do things differently. Further, you'll walk away with implementable tools. I sure have! After hearing one particular episode, I tried one of the methods the very next day with a client. Love it!

Business as usual isn’t cutting it. I’m so thankful there’s a show like Brave New Work exploring all the ways we can do business better. These conversations are crucial to progress toward building better workplaces. Rodney and Aaron facilitate such engaging interviews with so many interesting guests. Can’t wait to listen to more.

Each week we learn something new or are inspired to try a new experiment in our company. I am so grateful for Brave New Work and how Aaron and Rodney push us to be a learning organization! As someone who has worked closely with The Ready and is practicing new ways of working, this podcast is a must for this “sherpa in training”! Guiding people up and down experimental mountains is exhausting, discouraging, exhilarating and ultimately so freaking worth it to get where your organization wants to be. And, it’s also important to recharge, zoom out and find inspiration, perspective and new learning. That’s what I find in this podcast. You won’t regret spending your time here.

I just recently finished Brave New Work for a book club at work and was recommended this podcast. I'm an intern and I am just starting to understand how the ways you work really effect the outcome. Luckily the team I work with is experimenting with these new ways of work so I'm getting used to good habits upfront. This podcast furthered my learning of what I read in the book. I've been enjoying hearing guest's stories and bring them up at work or in discussion because there are tons of great points in this podcast and like to share this knowledge with other people. I also think Rodney is hilarious, just saying.

I simply want to believe Rodney and Alan are either my work mates or BFFs — their wisdom and levity add a thought provoking dimension to so many workplace and self development considerations. It’s a pace that leaves me inspired instead of all that I may not be—yet! Thanks for all the good times this year, grateful for this podcast and all you share with us!

Brave New Work is a beacon of inspiration and hope for those who dare to change the way organizations work, because don't we need it (period, not question mark). The candor and "what if" thinking that Rodney and Aaron authentically bring to the table is the much-needed recharge for those in and amongst every day OS challenges. Unlike many podcasts, the quality of Brave New Work episodes is consistent across seasons, maintaining value, stimulation, "I've been there" laugher and relief. I particularly appreciated the Ready for Anything series, where Rodney and Aaron talked about how each part of the canvas might be approached in light of COVID-19 challenges. I also really resonated with their more recent Participatory Governance episode (yes, please do a part 2 - we're all [humble] nerds out here and proud of it). I have recommended The Ready and Brave New Work (podcast and book) to many friends and colleagues, and look forward to continuing to do so.

By far the best level reset podcast out there on how to continue to bring focus and drive to work and adaptability to each new situation. Can’t recommend this podcast enough!

This is my favorite podcast. I love Aaron and Rodney’s vulnerability and their awesome dynamic and chemistry. They challenge each other all the time. As of now, Rodney is ahead. From the check in to the first few concepts they unpack to the deep dive with their amazing guests & their unique gifts to the conclusion of the podcast, it’s a blast!! Get ready for a great ride! FYI, You will have the starting / ending techno-pop music lingering in your head long after the podcast is over. I love the new piano ending too. Ready. Set. Go.

This is the podcast that got me listening ton podcasts regularly again. So much usable ideas that I’ve been able to bring to clients already. Plus they are fun! It’s not like sitting through a lecture unlike many similar podcasts on these topics.
