So disappointed in todays show about the targeted attack on World Central Kitchen. Seldom heard such nonsense as the Ha-Aretz journalist saying: oh no, IDF didn’t kill them on purpose - why would they, they will just have to feed the Palestinians themselves now. OBVIOUSLY keeping Palestinian civilians safe and fed has not been a concern of the Israeli government at all - in fact they have been starving them purposefully! And this complete hair brain statement was left standing without a response. Then followed by a call from a rabid rabbi, insisting that all other countries would and are doing much worse than Israel. Again, no meaningful response to that insane take. Deleting the Brian Lehrer show from my subscriptions.

Now that I’ve discovered the Brian Lehrer Show, I wouldn’t dream of missing an episode—he’s a sane, questioning, honest voice in a not always sane or questioning or honest world.

I wish they allowed 4.5 Brian consistently has great guests and elicits compelling discussions. Audience participation frequently a plus. Smart informed and presenting multiple points of view

Monotone and super boring.

I been listening for a few weeks and I didn’t not mine hearing all the opinion of impeachment but the episode on 1/28/2020 was just straight Democratic talking points with no common sense from the guest host. Sad

Finally had to turn this off. It bothers me that you’re treating this is a horse race who - so strategy and lynching. And there’s no talk about any kind of values are with their doing or why or whether it’s right. This is not a game you know.

Never heard of a “cohost” mentioned, but today’s episode was run by just that. Counter to the usual thoughtful commentary based on facts and listener discussion, this pile was reading tea leaves, speculation, and counter-intuitive conclusions drawn all over the place. Way too many politics podcasts out there to have to accept the surprise-mediocre ones. Ditch the cohost and maybe you’ll deserve a shot later. Unlikely.

Todays program with Eliana Johnson was a cool drink of water in an overheated landscape. Although I consider my self a progressive, I was also brought up Catholic. It soothed my soul to hear a conservative who can speak so intelligently, not glossing over inconvenient veniality. Invite her back, please!

I enjoyed the point on Monday’s show about facts not resonating with FNC viewers. Any 24hr cable news network has bias and are only profiteering. Public radio is the way to go. This is concise and NPR-worthy. Great job!

Right off the bat the insane republican argument that democrats are trying to impeach trump Bc they don’t like his politics. Maybe the number of investigations are that high because this man is a con artist who has committed a number of offenses that are impeachable. Makes me sick and I had to stop listening.

A lot of info , smart, told in an entertaining way

I was looking for a podcast that would tell me what is happening but first thing I hear is “trump is flailing” and other left leaning views rather then middle. Also the guy sounds like dr Phil but stupid.

Just like how the the democrats have made the impeachment inquiry a one sided secretive affair so has this podcast. If you are moderate or an independent looking for balanced information this is not the podcast for you. Seems just like a rehash of the far left democratic side. Very similar to the farce that taking place in DC with their secret Democrat only hearings where they only leak what benefits the Democrat’s side.

I’m loving the local perspective on this national “situation”. And Brian Lehrer (!).
