The Nameless TwinFun!I’ve been doing some research on Zagreus recently, and came upon this podcast. Now, granted, I’ve only listened to the one episode, but I enjoyed it greatly! It’s enough to make me think I may listen to more. The narrative style is a bit YA, but it gives it an entertaining twist. I’d definitely recommend this podcast.

Will MezaVery informative and interesting.I’ve always been a history and mythology buff and I found this recently while prepping for a road trip. I’m going to be listening to the back log of episodes as I love the variety of them. Compared to the freaky folklore podcast (which covers similar material) I found this to be professional and the short stories better written. Too bad it ended in 2022.

Cultist of Cthulhu the godAMAZINGwhen I found this podcast I thought it would be boring. But I was proven wrong very quickly my favorite episode is Cthulhu
-
Kodiac kidIt is cool but they need more monsters from the USI mean most if it’s followers live in the US it would make it much cooler to learn about your local mythology I didn’t see a single episode about the Wendigo or the wampum cat

Khart5970DisappointedLove the show and the host but so disappointed they’re selling out and exclusively going to Spotify this summer. It was good while it lasted I guess.
-

Eevee is Awsome👍 Really good 👍I really like to listen but it is not good for some people who don’t like people who scary things but I love listening to it 🦻
-
KisonzoRiveting storytelling - UpdateExcellent storytelling diving deep into the mythology of yore. The show got old. I don’t know if they changed writers but the last few have been dreadful. Natasha still does a great job, but I’m done listening to them.
-
Charli 🔥FunIt’s really fun to listen to but maybe not in front of kids. If they are scared of monsters than probably not. I let my daughter listen to it a little and she got a bad dream but my 13 year old son loves it and listens to it every week. Other than that it’s very fun to listen to and keeps you in the edge of your seat every word. 👍🏻

Lina awesome!👍🏻👌🏻Amazing podcast!!I mean, unless you are a person who hates scary things, you might not like this but it’s amazing!
-
lydiepearlThe bestI look forward to this podcast every week! I love it
-
Annoying102938To much creative licenseWould be better if it was a more academic look at these myths. The story format takes way to much creative license. Lame.
-
MurkyzWe know some but we assume more...It is amazing to see how much humans have gone through, so we have now apparently gotten the ultimate knowledge of everything and we have an answer for everything because we are so smart.

ben8wpCan’t wait to try this!I hope it’s good!

michal jackson ah heheIdkShe sometimes mispronounces the names and that bothers me

Geardog89Great storiesI have found my new favorite podcast, I love all these stories of ancient monsters.
-
ViviennemagdalenGreat topic matter, too many sound effectsThe monster topic is fascinating and I love the stories. The sound effects are very obnoxious. I would listen much more frequently if they left out the sound effects. I also don’t like the narrators voice, tone or cadence. I’m sure that’s just personal, though. The sound effects are actually annoying though. It’s like watching an action movie. Gross.

tipp4400ippGoodSooooooooooooooo good
-
TkosharkAn audio bestiaryAlthough I continue to feel ambivalent about Vanessa Richardson’s very artificial, suburban narration, each episode is very well-written and researched, and a delight every time. Currently my favorite Parcast podcast by far, and a good companion to the PBS webseries Monstrum, which I also recommend.

rodsworth77SuperlativeOne of the best podcasts out here!!!

Jandro GamboaDelightfulThis is a great podcast if you like dramatic re-enactments of mythology. I don’t usually like that format, but the creators use it for great effect. It’s especially useful in establishing the nuance that often comes from these “problematic” stories. I also appreciate that they cover mythologies other than Greek and Roman.
-
Jillian MathewsAmazing Fantasy PodcastLove this podcast I love mermaids, werewolves and vampires and all others! So fascinating!
-
fhcgduejdbcydjsidndyd❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️I just found this podcast this morning and I’ve already listened to 7 episodes I love this podcast😍😍😍😍
-
SNG757IncredibleThe amount of work that must go into this podcast. It is so thoroughly researched, insightful, and well put together. It is also highly enjoyable and richly informative. My favorite!
-
whatevermikeGood but not greatI enjoy this podcast. The subject matter is on what I've gone to college to study and because of my knowledge, the artists license & 21st century "remaking" of these myths can either be annoying or downright cringe inducing. At least they warn you before you listen that they're gonna give it the George Orwell "1984" history rewrite. That neighbor's said, give it a listen. Even with my complaints, I still suscribe.

Fiddle ChipsMeowWonderful!

Vian StyxSuggestions For Next EpisodesI love this channel, and as a Mytho Nerd Teenager myself, I would like to hear a few monsters myself. Say, the Arthurian Legend The Questing Beast, or the Dullahan, Carman, Balor, the Slaugh, Jorogumo, Apophis or maybe even the Legend of the Original Okiku. There are many things I would like to hear, but the only bad thing is that the episodes don’t come fast enough 😅 Great work! You definitely engaged Mytho Nerd Teenagers like myself. Just work on the information of the monster, it’s history, origins, retelling it’s demise and the things we need to know, like what did it look like? But yes, this is absolutely amazing. So many legends, all in one podcast. And people who are saying bad reviews: try giving constructive feedback?
-
SpydMCYou should definitely listen to this podcastThis podcast is so awesome! I listened to the first 2 episodes and I was automatically eager to hear more! If you although it puts down Christians though. :(
-
mrs. wird grlNiceI love this podcast! But I’m starting to see more adds. It’s still awesome!

-
Evil7AshMake podcasts not political statementsPublicly supporting media hysteria over the (unjustified and tragic) death of a career criminal is disgusting. Stick to your stories and keep your political beliefs to yourselves.
-
VljackEnjoyableI wasn’t sure I was going to like this podcast at the first episode as it was titled Kraken, but the majority of the episode talked about the adventures of Odd. I am glad I gave it a second chance. The narrator has a voice easy to listen to & I enjoy the sound effects behind the dramatization.
-
MacjeremymacOnce againI really enjoy this podcast. But time and time again you put down Bible believers by saying that we take our religion from stories that others say. The Canaanites are the source of God and our belief in him? Please stick with story telling. Not trying to explain religion. That’s not your strong point.

-:)7AwsomeIt’s the one of the best podcast ever the only one that could better is tales
-
Richter BAmazing!!!A very well written and informative podcast. If you’ve ever wondered the story. Behind those mythical Beasts here’s the place to do it.
-
Thomas. CGreat!I’ve always loved myths. But I focus on the most popular version of the stories. But the way you don’t base the episodes on only one version, is great. I’ve never been one to give reviews. But this podcast is great. I know that people may not like that mythical monsters uses a lot of versions for bible stories. Because it may not be in their beliefs. But I love it. I love Egyptian myths. Mabye one day you guys can record a Egyptian myth. But all in general. It’s a great podcast.
-
bigteezy98Okay...It’s good, but could definitely be better, most of the other comments already eluded to what could be improved upon. One of my biggest issues is the downright incorrect research put into the topics revolving around the Bible. You really don’t have to look very far into its pages to realize that lost of what is being stated in these podcasts is far from the truth. I agree with one of my fellow reviewers, go to someone with a tad more knowledge about the Bible rather than Wikipedia. :| (not throwing shade - that’s just what it comes across as)
-
TuluwenPlease!!I really love Parcast, but your research on Christian beliefs and Jesus’s teachings are almost always wrong! Please contact a professor of religion at a Christian university to do your research. It makes me doubt the other “facts” you use in your episodes... For instance, Jesus did not teach that his followers could not be rich, or that people had to “earn” their salvation. Neither did he “reward his followers by turning water into wine” and heal the sick. This misses the entire premise of Christian faith and the work of Jesus. At this point I cannot recommend your podcast to any of my friends because these inaccuracies. These are very basic, easy concepts that are being misrepresented by Parcast and I am saddened by the dip in quality every time I hear Christianity or Jesus being spoken about. I’m a thirty-four year old pastor’s daughter, and my husband is now an elder in my church. I’ve taught Sunday school for years as well as leading groups on the basics of Christianity. I would love it if Parcast would improve their knowledge of Jesus and the Bible, which I believe would also improve the quality and trustworthiness of the organization. Thank you for your time! Camille

indyjones989Absolutely FantasticGreat stories with small history lessons throughout. Having it be about a mythological monster keeps me invested since I care about the subject.
-
Cclewis69EnthrallingI love the way Vanessa keeps you so involved in the story. Her tone and emotion during the telling of the story is captivating, I find myself sitting in my truck after I get off of work to finish the episodes. I hate to turn it off, but am excited to start each new one. Thanks for the great work Vanessa!
-
random russian on the internetHi!I’m here from “haunted places” and I heard the grim reaper story and I loved it. I came here and yet again I love it!❤️
-
Reuben13210Great but trending in the wrong directionReally enjoy. Prefer the episodes with summaries of legends. The new trend to stories like the succubus and sandman are making it less interesting.
-
Mel01876Please stick to narrating the storyThe acting within these stories leaves it less than desirable. The narrative would be excellent if the others playing out the story didn’t exist. It takes me out of the story rather than wanting to continue listening. Since that has been getting heavy on the stories I haven’t been listening in the entirety and have been listening less.
