Why do we need a nickname....Simply joyThere are lots of improv shows out there but this is probably my favorite. Itâs hard to explain the simple and hilarious situations that develop. No prompts or games needed. Just a well natured joy in humor.

degenerate mongrelGood boys. Deserve a raise.Daniel, would it kill you to call your mother back? Eat some greens, stay hydrated. Love you

Dewey Cassady (Unrelated)Funny and ComfortingMost improv podcasts donât give you a chance to get to know the hosts and guests, but chat segments in between the sets are really fun! Ryan and Dan are awesome hosts!
-
zmoatsComedy TherapyI love this show so much that it feels therapeutic to me. Dan and Ryan are always so positive and kind with one another and their special guests, and that spirit carries through their conversations and improvised scenes. Positive and uplifting, while still being silly, raunchy, and inappropriate. The perfect listen.

skalapdrumsimprov is importantand man dog are one of those pods that will ring forever in audio history as the very reason that this art form is important. when itâs sincere, when itâs from performers who immerse themselves in every crevasse of improv, there is just no other descriptor besides: magical.

JlmosleyMakes me actually laugh out loudI love all the Big Grande pods and was so delighted to find this one with Dan & Ryan! Iâve been burning through them! It makes me laugh out loud in inappropriate public places and I love âem for it. Treat yourself đ đź

dheevwvsAn Inconvenient Cake EpIâm catching up on older episodes and this one made me spit out my drink so I immediately came to give a 5 star review. This is my new favorite podcast hands down.

spooky_snapsThe Grand Unfurlâlistener favoritesâ is an understatement! love JJJ and Ali on the pod, yâall are so great!

bluemeaniefaceA top notch weekly horticultural insider symposiumI love these guys. Dan & Ryan are great at creating a fun party vibe without any of the broisms of other popular podcasts. Oh, and thereâs improv. The guests are usually just as apt to tear up some verbal scenework. Lots of admirably out there yes and-ing. I found this through other improv podcasts but for my money (none! because I donât patreon) this is the best one because it is the most consistent. Youâre always gonna get fresh improv⌠never a cringy singalong or meandering pre-subscribed premise or somebodyâs kid wondering around the studio. Just straight heightened jibber jabber into improv scenes. But every other reviewer is wrong about the song. needs to be shortened or changed. Skip City

SoCalPalSolid PodI tried every podcast in the book and nothing worked. My doctor even gave up on me. Thanks to Man Dog Pod, I was able to laugh at the ripe age of 33.

The Pig DeadTop TierFirst, the theme song - possibly the best theme song there is, folks! Catchy and memorable. A banger, as they say. Dan & Ryan are undislikable. You know them from Big Grande (and if you donât, youâd better learn up - seek out The Teachers Lounge). Theyâre great and funny all on their own, but guess what. Guests! They get the best. Lisa Gilroy! Betsy Sodaro! Ronnie Adrian! Talia Tabin + Victoria Longwell! Tim Meadows! Mano Agapion! PFT! Every episode is a win. Just listen. Then subscribe. Then sign up for the Patreon. Then keep listening. And then call in with a story for a suggestion. And then listen!

TrisaratopppsNobody leaves the drive thruAnything Big Grande or Big Grande-adjacent is gonna do it for me. I am often left in stitches or simply just really enjoying my time! Episode 60 was one of the funniest yet.
-
MomfeistGreat podcastSome of the improv podcasts I usually listen to have dipped in quality since the pandemic, but the improv on this podcast is still very smooth. Dan and Ryan are a great team. Make sure to listen to the happy hour episodes.
-
jleidlSuch Great Improv by 2 Great DudesDan and Ryan have such a great chemistry and they provide me with many much needed laughs. 10/10 I couldnât recommend a better podcast

ShaquanrulezPUPPYHEAT: my mansâs a doggie, nowHereâs my real-time, pod-jectory chart from 2018 to now: how did this get made -> CBB CBB -> teachers lounge Teachers lounge -> ManDogPod Honestly, this is one of the greatest things to ever have been created, for fans of improvisers, podcasts, and/or improv podcasts! This is where you need to land for genuine friendship convos and sick, sweet laffs! These goofs are bound to leave ya in the ICU of cedars

Dr ZhivagoOne of the bestRyan and Dan are top-notch entertainers. Happy hour was an excellent choice for recurring episodes as Talia and Victoria also happen to be top-notch entertainers. Every episode is delightful.
-
Franks SpanksWhy arenât all convo podcasts like this?Dan and Ryanâs respect for each other and bromance is so wholesome. Theyâre hilarious, intelligent, and absolutely kill the improv game. This reminds me of âHey Riddle Riddleâ, where whacky improv scenes are based off the hostsâ attempts at solving listener-submitted riddles. I just love the formula of improv scenes stemming from a real-life dialogue. Great job, yâall!
-
crumblersjuniorSome of the bestMy new favorite podcast. Dan and Ryan made a pod that expertly blends open hearted interesting conversation with hilarious top notch improv.
-
my-oh-mai(a)Improv-spectionIs it possible to be in love with two men at once? What if you donât know either of those two men IRL and they have no idea you exist? Dan and Ryan are open and vulnerable and prove that comedy can have a conscience in a period when other comedians bemoan social justice warriors and PC culture. Introspection may not be your first thought when thinking of improv, but these two do it well. Thanks, Ryan and Dan for making us all feel like we belong.

Dred363Dog! You are the man now!Canât recommend this podcast enough! Dan and Ryan are absolutely hilarious and I love just listening to these guys be friends. From the improv to the regular conversations they have, Iâm thoroughly entertained and am happy to subscribe to the Patreon. My 3 year old son even loves to sing the theme song! Dan and Ryan, thanks for the hours of entertainment and I cannot wait to see what you guys do in the future. EGOT perhaps? Alternative Title: Two Guys, a Mic, and a Pizza Place.
-
KelbombomHilariousShould be the #1 improv pod! Seriously, Ryan and Dan seem like truly great people and their improv is top notch. Always makes my day!
-
ZombieCupcakesSign up for their PatreonI started listening to these gentlemen bc of âBig Grande Teachers Loungeâ and was super stoked when they announced they were doing a podcast with Dan and Ryan. Immediately signed up for their Pateron and itâs worth every penny. I love the easy of them talking to each other and making you feel like youâre a part of it. One of my favorite parts is them genuinely making the other person laugh. Possible title for the show âAdam Packman Jones Pizza Partyâ No idea why itâs just the first thing that came to mind.
-
niceyoungmanGenius!Gorgeous!
-
lessthanfivedaysGreat improvMore great comedy from two members of the hilarious Big Grande comedy group. Lippert and Rosenberg are awesome, listen to this and Teacherâs Lounge, seriously. Worth it to subscribe to the YTMND Patreon.
-
Buck of DogRyan and Dan are greatThis is hands down one of the funniest podcast out there. Just the two of them or with a guest, it is always fantastic. Look forward for new ones in my feed. Thanks guys.
-
wtodd1122Awesome and FunOne of my two favorite Teacherâs Lounge âduosâ ;)! These guys are witty, funny and honest. I highly recommend Subscribing to the Teacherâs Lounge on Stitcher Premium for more of their fun antics and chemistry!

Mack PetersonPost ironic witty banter for a post human worldSometimes these guys seem too nice. Creepily upbeat, despite their often self-deprecating self-awareness. Wholesomely woke, occasionally filthy. Never without detailed, ramblingly, apologetic preamble for anything even vaguely resembling âproblematic,â so itâs safe for your wokest friends. I want to be the type of person who wants to be friends with these guys, but I think theyâd be annoying to hang out with. Overly earnest. Sometimes I want to slap them and throw them in a locker, despite my having been a mercilessly bullied, overweight goth in high school. The niceness seems cultivated and contrived, like theyâve read too many self-help books, not that there should be any caps on such activities, just that: over-indulgence tends to make one annoying. They seem like they think theyâre awfully clever. They have a very pleased-with-themselves kinda vibe. But theyâre very funny. I think

GballsohardShould be the #1 improv podcastLetâs make that happen

Michael Joyner IIIFive Star ReviewItâs like if Badger from Breaking Badâs voice was intelligent and had a baby with Howard Kremer and then the baby hangs out with Jon Hammâs voice. But then they rule at yes and and.
-
craigk0406Check out the rest on PatreonItâs all so good! New title: nice good improv thatâs nice

gotta ddanceLove these guys!A great listen and totally worth your time
-
elle in a cellyou want i should rate this podcast?the hosts are so likable. any comedy or improv fan is accustomed to podcast hosts that openly express their fights or animosity or friction towards each other â usually for good reason because it makes them and their audience laugh. in that vein, this podcast is a breath of fresh air that you might not even realize you needed. these guys are best friends. they treat each other nice â and itâs just as funny as if they were ribbing on each other constantly. the improv/comedy works so well because of this. they might even share a brain? seems like cheating. what else what else. in a parallel dimension this pod is called Chock Jocks because itâs chock full of jokes. folksâ
-
Black Belt JonzeGive them money.I canât afford to do the patreon, but the least I could do was leave a review. Very much the enjoy the conversations before the improvising.
-
Ryan__AlanLove it!Awesome show. Would recommend maybe the teacherâs lounge podcast first as an introduction to these two hilarious comics as it is a more polished show. But this is just as great and maybe better since its so personal
