Discovered The Hook Rocks via another great podcast Shout it out Loudcast as cohost Zeus was a guest on the Whitesnake legacy episode and I am indeed hooked! Whitesnake was my first concert on 1990 Slip of the Tongue tour. 1987 was my introduction to Whitesnake and have dabbled with their history but this episode taught me a lot of things I didn’t know and some songs I need to check out. The Hook Rocks is a well researched and well executed show. Wide depth of knowledge and interview subjects, both well known and up and coming. You walk away from every episode having learned something new and with music you have to check out!

Eddie Trunk boasts “sports talk for the rock fan”, and is almost sports free. If NPR had a rock talk show, this is what it would sound like, minus the National Propaganda part. Like most podcasts, Jay could work a bit on balancing his levels, but you get more than you pay for here. If you love the past and care about the future of ROCK (and we ain’t talkin’ Imagine Dragons here), this is some of the best rock talk content you’re likely to find. The Hook Rocks!
