Great time

I’ve been listening since the very first episode. The game reviews are excellent. I find that I am in general agreement with the rankings that have been applied to various war games. Specifically, I’ve played GCACW, LOB, OCS, the US Civil War, and Empire of the Sun. I also enjoy the book and podcast recommendations as well as the rpg discussion. Highly recommend!!

For a board gamer who wants to get into war games, but didn’t know where to start, this podcast helps me find my way. And it’s a pleasure to listen to. The passion and knowledge they both share for these games is contagious. I enjoy the war game guessing game, the discussion around what they’re playing, the deep dive into one game each episode and also really like their other chatter- expect discussion around cocktails, historical war books, game cons, and more. -Rob

You’ll hear about their thoughts on old and new war games which will help you make your own educated purchases. They are responsive to listener emails. Finally, I also enjoy their discussions on related books on various historical subjects.

Easily the second best continuously recording wargaming podcast. The hosts are easy to listen to and I appreciate their insights in the games they review. Great book recommendations too.

If you love wargames give this a listen

Friendly discussion of wargames that doesn’t fall down the grognard hole. Just don’t ask them to pronounce Preussich. Brief news, game acquired, relevant books read, games played in the past month, a brief guess the wargame segment, a game of the month, and occasional RPG, hockey or other miscellany at the end. Right length and right frequency (monthly), so it never gets tedious (looking at you [redacted]).

Like most Eastern European dog-grooming podcasts, they just don’t post frequently enough.
