Guy on the bikeLove this Podcast!Found Let's Talk Dubs PODCAST a few weeks ago and have enjoyed each episode, great content and very informative! This podcast has inspired me to work on my 79 convertible bettle that's been in storage for over 25 years, going full German look with lots of carbon fiber parts and turbo twists. Thank you and keep up the good work!

GbobsaidLove this show.I had a VW as my first car when I was 16: a 1959 bug. Now, at age 63, I wanted to find out more about the culture of bug lovers and become one myself. This is the perfect show to immerse yourself in this wonderful culture. I am listening to all the shows one by one and enjoying so much the information and personalities. Thank you so much for a wonderful show.

JustBuginWorking away w/Bill & guests in my head!Bill T, your talks with VW people new & old are great! Thank you, George T & other LV club members, PLUS all the guest speakers, for filling my ears while on the jobsite or when working on my VWs. Great “double feature” w/Gary Emory - a local yokel - listened to while working on a DorMobile roof repair for a buddy’s ‘65 Split Bus. He’s getting it ready for the Shasta Run in 2022 (also a killer episode w/Lance). Looking forward to “Another crazy weekend” in LV 2021! Keep up the great conversations 🤘🏽🤘🏽😎🤙🏽🤙🏽 Getty

rosevillainAwesome VW podcastA must listen if you are a fan of George T’s brother’s cars, or if you’d like to hear stories about Bill T running out of gas. Some serious (and not so serious) aircooled vw discussions and interviews with folks that have been there, are there, and will be there in the vw hobby. Thanks, Bill for educating and entertaining.
-
mustaffa042Best in the BizThis is an awesome podcast for new VW people and the old heads. Love the content. Just so happen to buy a 67’ beetle right after the podcast dropped about one year only parts. Love the podcast and look forward to each one. Keep up the good work man!

Armchair 67Love the podcastBill! Thanks for doing all that you do for the hobby. Was hoping to make it to One Crazy Weekend this year, couldnt make it happen but will see you at your event next year. Love keeping the podcast on while I’m out working on one of my VWS- hey it even worked when I was getting my 30 Model A ready for a 2600 mile drive this summer. You’re an true asset to the hobby, brother. By the way, I’m pretty sure if you’d have run turtlebacks on that ghia TC, it would have made it no problem.
-
56 oval ragThe podcast got me hyped!Bill T! This is your boy Larry in Houston. We met briefly at the ID bus show in HB and I mentioned I’ll be flying in for one crazy weekend. I’ve had it on the calendar and the podcast got me hyped! The stories of the euro and Hawaii trip were dope and you and George had me rolling with the banter! Keep up the good work my brother, loving it🤙

747400CaptainBack Into ItBill found the Podcast 6 months ago and enjoyed the content. More importantly I am the second owner of a 71SB Convertible that was my son’s first car. Shortly he was in a major fender bender which prompted him to decide that it needed restoration. Tore it apart and then found a Girl that he eventually married. That was in 2004. And Poko Dot has sat ever since. Most importantly your Podcast has inspired me to begin the journey to restore Her. Also within the last 3 months I purchased a beautiful 1974 Acapulco. YOU ARE SO RESPONSIBLE FOR MY ENTHUSIASM Robert in N.C.

imtoasty the ad criticThe door to a world I never knew I neededI've always been curious about why old VW's and their owners are so quirky, and found not only a hobby, but a community. I've been making my way through all the episodes, trying to figure out how I'm gonna build my own car. Also he's just started putting out YouTube videos that are great, definitely catch those out as well. Thank you Bill, keep on doing what you do! You're a pillar of the community and are actively recording the history of our hobby!

CW956DoughnutsBill does a great job of pulling historical info out of the old-timers but also younger people who came after the sixties, seventies and eighties revolution, and follow up to the modern age of restoration, events and racing. The episode with Eric Meyer pulls so much together, time, fads, styles - it’s excellent. Sometimes I wonder where he’s (Bill) going with his questions but he brings it back together so cleverly.
-
ChadsGotA67BrothersDang sweet show! If your a VW folk with a brother or sister you’re sure to enjoy the extra layer of sibling banter and competition. Thanks for sharing in this additional manner.

SingleCab SteveAn amazing So Cal VW history lesson!I just finished listening to the Joh Lazenby /DKP podcast. I grew up in Eastern LA county(Cerritos)/North Orange County area from the 70s through to today, and listening to this podcast was an incredible journey back in time for me. I still reside here in Fullerton and listening to all of John’s incredibly detailed references from Becker’s paint over in Anaheim near the Santa Ana River to Auto Haus up on Beach Boulevard as well as Johnny’s over by the 5 fwy and Small car Specialties on Orangethorpe was like jumping in a Time Machine. So cool! Just in case you take requests, here are my 3 interview requests. 1. Charlie Hamill (the enigmatic and aloof low key guru of the Pre ‘68 bus world and founding member of OCTO) 2. Everett Barns(Owner and builder of the worlds premier Vintage VW website that has literally reshaped the hobby) 3. Pete Santini (owner and founder of Santini Custom Paint in Santa Ana, the go to shop for all custom paint jobs for VW‘s in the wild 1980s) Bill, you really are doing the Lord’s work by documenting these VW pioneers true life stories for the VW world. Time flies fast and if thes peoples stories are not recorded and documented, the true history of this amazing community will be lost to time. Thank you! See you at OCTO and btw Happy Birthday! Steve Harris

Meyer943PodcastWell I’ve been out of the VW game for about 25 years and got back in about a year ago. Working on a 66 Beetle “Frankenstein”. I am hoping to head out for the One Crazy Weekend!!! All the podcast have been great. I’m trying to get through them all now. Keep up the outstanding work. P.S. I’m from Bakersfield and you’re right some very cool cars have come from some very talented builders here. Legit Podcast, love it!!

RottenFeetBillAnd just like that I was hooked !Bill, In early 2022, I randomly selected this podcast and clicked on episode 157. Although, I was stuck in the most savage traffic on the FDR Drive heading north to the TriBoro Bridge in Manhattan, the time passed with glorious speed, as I listened to one of the most entertaining “gear-head centric” interviews ever ! To future listeners …. BEWARE of Bill’s ability to tell a story. He spins a tale in the same fashion as his ancient Greek forefathers and his passion for the “people’s car” knows no limits. Heed my warning, Bill and his “Roundtable Minions” have the ability to make you “do the unthinkable”! This lifelong MOPAR aficionado actually sold off one of his fleet and purchased a former Bundeswehr (German Army) Type 181. This is my FIRST Volkswagen and I must admit, I have fallen in love with these air cooled beauties! Any chance episode 212 (Manhattan Area Code) will be dedicated to the VW Thing ? Keep up the brilliant work sir ! All the best from the Big Apple, Regards, Mícheál Ó Riagáin (Mee-haul Oh’ Reegan) Michael O’Regan
-

Weston woodworkingAwesome resourceI listen every week love all the different guests and topics. Being in Ohio it’s neat to hear what’s going all over the world. Got into the scene a couple years ago this show only makes me want more.

-
ProwagenA must for the aircooled enthusiast! If you are an old school aircooled VW guy, no matter the style or subset of the scene you should listen to this. I put it on often when working my office based day job and it’s opened my eyes up to a bunch of new parts of the VW scene and history I never knew. Keep up the good work Bill and team!
-
bugsy562Interview ideaThis podcast is awesome, I am super excited about this. I think you guys should do all your might to get Sam Rorrer on this show. Any of the old timers should know or know of him and Billy Harcrow, Billy unfortunately passed away on our Easter weekend trip to dumont in 01. Sam is a Air cooled genius when it comes to these engines. Please get this man on your show! You’ll be fascinated with his info maybe he’d finally tell his secrets haha! **You really need to try your hardest to get Sam on this show, (any vw he built was never beat) I can attest to it as he’s been a family friend of my fathers. he used to work for Rogers European in Downey CA he lives in NV now pretty close to Vegas.**
-
Darryl ThompsonTop notch showI absolutely enjoy your show and look forward to what comes next!

Travis70BaeQuickly became my favorite podcast!I saw this podcast for the first time about 2 years ago and to be honest neverminded it assuming it was gonna be low quality and frankly kinda lame. I cannot stress enough how wrong I was! The production value of this podcast especially in the last several dozen is top notch. As a 10ish year Vw enthusiast and full time automotive painter/body guy I didn’t think this podcast would educate or interest me but it’s full of some much useful information and the websites/people/links to help find whatever it is your trying to fix or modify. The best part in my opinion is all the history, “behind the scenes”, and first hand accounts from the guests about the history of Vw’s and modifying them. Bill is an excellent host and 100% genuine in his love of the Vw community. I watched the Bullrun season Bill and his brother were in (season 2) and they represented the Vw community and hobby w class and vigor. So if your a lifer in Aircooled Vw’s or at the least interested in them, give this podcast a go! Travis St.Louis 1970 Bay
-
Scott McManusAwesome shows!!You knocked it out of the park with the Russell, Berg and 1967 podcasts. I’ve listened to all of your shows! Ben "Nunyabiz" ZielinskiRust belt VWs and James SopherBill, Thank you for doing a podcast with my main man James Sopher. He was reluctant to talk about the cars he owns during your podcast. I can tell you why. His group of friends won’t let him have anything longer than a year. I went straight over after your podcast and bought his oval! Goes to show you that us east side boys are just as crazy as you west coast folks. Most of all, thank you for putting people on the air who have all added something to make this passion and hobby truly wonderful. The vw family is interwoven like the chain mail of a knight- which just might have a little rust on it! Keep carrying the torch! Ben Zielinski Geneva, Ohio

stuwemEducatingYa know, when you live out in the middle of Illinois, and there is no VW scene in your town, or even in your county, really none at all, it’s really nice to have Let’s Talk Dubs available to get your VW fix. Bill T does a great job.
-
VW DwellerBlackfoot IdahoBill! Thanks for all the hard work you all do to make this pod cast a reality! Your selection of guests is amazing! It’s awesome to hear their stories and what got them into the VW life. Thanks for spreading VW knowledge! Keep up the good work! 1964 bus 1978 Westy

True Bingham FanBill T inspired me!Best podcast ever if you're in to VW's! Listening to Bill T profess his love and knowledge of VW's has inspired me to get off my but and start working on my 71 Type 2 that's been sitting for the past 10 years. I hit some roadblocks on the way and enlisted the help of JB Bugs of Indy to get my "loaf of bread on wheels" rolling again. She'll be back soon so follow along on IG @71transporter to watch her come back to life and go on adventures, first one being Volkstoberfest in Indiana! THANKS BILL!
-
nerveheadGreat podcast!!Still being relatively new to the VW scene, it’s great to get stories from those that are in the scene or those that were there at the beginning. I usually end up with a list of things to google after listening. Great stuff Bill T! Keep it going!
