    A Secondary Infertility Silver Lining
Thank you for making me laugh out loud and feel seen and heard with this podcast. I am only four episodes in and I feel lighter. ❤️

Binge worthy, helped me through some cycles
I discovered this podcast in the depths of despair during a very unexpected cancelled cycle. Over the course of the last 11 weeks, I’ve steadily made my way through every episode. Gabby and Emma’s laments of their own disappointments through the first few episodes were EXACTLY what I needed at the time and made me feel so seen. It also made me laugh during times when I thought it was the last thing possible. I’m only sorry I’ve now made it through all the episodes! They had so many interesting interviews from all angles of “the trials of trying for a baby” that made me realize I’m not alone and/or I haven’t gone through nearly as much as some women. One of my favorite parts was Prof Tim and the “old wive’s tales” and eventually “IVF what the F?!” and his medically backed knowledge and thoughtful responses even to some of the silliest of questions. Being an American, (and not listening to the episodes in real time) meant that some references were lost on me and any information about the NHS wasn’t relevant, but I don’t fault them for that since that’s where they are! And it was interesting to hear how things are done a bit differently elsewhere in the world. I do hope they come back with more episodes but… being that I just entered yet another TWW maybe I’ll just got back to the beginning. Absolutely so much love and gratitude to Gabby and Emma - I wish you both the best.

    Solidarity for the Jourrrrrney
Emma and Gabby are exactly the TTC support I needed—helpful insights, humor, and solidarity during a very hard and otherwise isolating time.

    Love love loveeee
This podcast gives me a much needed laugh through my infertility journey. These women are wonderful, real, raw about it all. This is SO appreciated to feel like these women, who are across the ocean from me (I am in the USA), feel so close to me with how relatable they really are.

    Sound
Please work on the sound. It’s so terrible. Both when you talk to each other and when you interview people.

Gabby and Emma have been such a ray of light in my TTC journey. Just when I was feeling down, alone and like no one understood I stumbled across this podcast and what a breath of fresh air. Totally relatable to all the feels especially to the dang two week wait! I’ve just started from the beginning and have been binge listening. Listening to them is like chatting with close friends about what I’m going through. Emma, Gabby thank y’all so much. I 100% recommend this for anyone in the TTC community!

    My favorite podcast
If I could give 10 stars I would. I am so glad I found this Podcast while TTC. Some days I think it’s the only thing that keeps me sane. Big Fat Negative has made me feel less alone in my journey to motherhood. From the very first episode I felt a sense of comradery and support from women I’ve never met! I laugh, cry and learn so much with each episode. Thank you for creating this lovely community.

    This is everything
Oh man, I discovered BFN about 2 weeks ago (my husband and I are TTC and currently in our first round of IVF after an unsuccessful IUI) and I have quite honestly been BINGING BFN like the most tasty of snacks. Seriously, this podcast is everything, for basically anyone in the process of or in anyway interested in fertility treatments. Gabby and Emma have the all of the poise and knowledge of the best infertility experts, combined with the grace and hilarity that you’d expect out of your best friend. I really couldn’t love this podcast enough, and already feel so much less alone (and much better prepared) in the journey. so so SO much praise for this pod!

    Amazing!
We have been TTC for almost 2 years, and although we have a great clinic, this podcast is taught me just as much if not more about the fertility journey. Not just the scientific things, but the emotional stress, how to tackle challenges, and also how to laugh when you can.

    My IVF BFFs
I recently discovered Gabby and Emma because I was looking for something to help fill my time between egg retrieval and transfer, and I’ve been binging episodes ever since. New listeners: go back to the beginning so you can follow their “journeys” (that’ll be funny once you listen). These ladies are both journalists which makes their podcast not only funny and heartwarming but super educational and honest. Thank you, ladies, for everything you’re doing for this community!

This podcast has everything you need as you plow through infertility!
I’m in the US (Chicago) and have found this podcast to be a great place to listen and learn and laugh with The BFN ladies! The topics and approach are well presented and I genuinely look forward to listening to each and every episode! Thank you for putting in all the time, effort, and real-ness that normalizes this F&@!#%* experience- XO.

The best podcast for those struggling to conceive
I find so much comfort listening to stories of the pains and frustrations of trying to conceive. Whenever I start feeling down, I listen to an episode, any episode, and instantly feel less alone. BFN is a true community—THANK YOU!!
  • Noles1985
    Funny, informative, and relatable
Love this podcast bringing light to a lot of topics that people don’t talk about when ttc. So glad to feel I’m not alone in my feelings.

    Cannot recommend BFN enough...
I am 20 months into our TTC “journey,” and I recently discovered BFN. I am not exaggerating when I say I am binging this podcast (I am a California hairstylist who is out of work due to Covid-19, so I currently have a LOT of time to fill). Gabby and Emma are wonderful, I am learning a lot and finding comfort and emotional support. Spoiler: I was a bit negatively triggered when they both had success with IVF (of course happy for them!), but they have handled it with such awareness and sensitivity that I love them even more. I love every guest interview, but Yvonne John’s will forever hold a special place in my heart 🥲. (This IS grief, and mourning, and I think of the baby names we’ve had picked out for years every single day.) I feel heard, vindicated, not crazy, loved and supported from this podcast. My husband pokes fun at me because I am now regularly speaking in an accent, and referring to him as Mr. Bridget (I am “a Gabby” 🥂). Thank you both for creating this safe space for me. 🍍💔

    Love!
This podcast is exactly what I didn’t know I needed! Not to mention their voices are very calm and soothing! Love it! I’m binging episodes!

So glad I found this podcast!
I wish I could give this 10 stars!! I found it earlier this year when I was struggling with having IUI cycles canceled because of COVID and I truly cannot thank you wonderful women enough for creating such an informative, honest, and hilarious podcast to counter all of the pain and loneliness that comes with infertility. You’ve provided much needed knowledge, inspiration, and perspective as I’m now making my way through my first IVF cycle. And your guests are always amazing. Sending thanks and love from Massachusetts!

Beautiful storytelling and candid account of infertility
I am heading into my first round of IVF and am so thankful for this podcast! I have been binging it since episode 1 and love following along with the host’s stories. The guests they bring on the podcast are all very informative as well-there are some heartbreaking stories and many filled with hope. So thankful to have found this podcast!

I just found this podcast and am obsessed. I love these ladies, I love how candid they are, I love their guests, and I love their accents. I started at episode 1 and am working my way through the entire catalog

    So glad I found it
I found this podcast one day while feeling lost and alone. Infertility can feel so isolating and overwhelming. These women are relatable, hysterical, and you can tell they genuinely want to help others. I binged all the episodes that were available and now impatiently wait for the new episode every week lol. I have loved all the seasons but am really appreciating season 3 (with the couples insight) thank you for this podcast that brings so much light and warmth with a topic that can feel so cold and dark.

    Thank you Emma & Gabby
This podcast has helped me to better understand the infertility ‘journeys’ of my friends and family. The information is presented in a clear and informative manner - interesting to a broad audience beyond those going through IVF. Thank you!

    Hilarious and Validating
After meeting roadblock after roadblock during a year and a half TTC, I stumbled upon this podcast looking for support in this lonely journey. Gabby and Emma, you acknowledged how f’ing ridiculous this whole “journeyyyy” is and taught me to laugh about it. Because, as you know, you either laugh or you cry...and I was doing a whole lot of the latter. I binge listened to your first season like I was reading a suspenseful novel. It was insanely comforting and validating to hear you both going through the same thoughts and feelings. Your guests and educational bits only add to the pod. Thank you, thank you, thank you from Denver, CO!

    Relatable
Gabby and Emma are super relatable, they have the perfect mix of real life anger towards infertility but are also friendly and encouraging. My IVF journey is turning out to be much longer and more complicated than either of theirs were, which would normally make me resentful, but I’m still listening to them and don’t feel that way. They’ve handled having an ivf podcast while parenting after infertility well.

    The support I needed
I found Gabby and Emma after needing support while traversing through my own infertility journey. After years of fertility treatments, 3 miscarriages, and lots of heartache The Big Fat Negative podcast has been just what I needed to help keep me going. The topics discussed are useful for anyone going though infertility and many take aways can be gained regardless of where you are at in the process (trying naturally, IUI, IVF, or adoption) Over the months of listening they have started to feel like old friends and I have to remind myself that we do not know each other! They are not afraid to discuss the hard topics of infertility and their honesty about how crap this infertility life can be is so refreshing. So refreshing in fact that I have listened through their entire podcast twice! Give Big Fat Negative a listen, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, the two of them are hilarious and this community could always use a good laugh, right?

    Love this!
This was the first podcast about infertility I listened to and I am SO glad I found it at the beginning of my infertility journey, I love the format and hosts and truly look forward to their episodes week by week now that I’m done bingeing old eps. Thank you both for doing this, for being a great resource, and helping build this community!

    They get it.
Going through infertility is hard and lonely. These girls get it and really help by making jokes and talking about what it’s like. So glad someone recommended this to me!

    Honest and Real
Thank you for being honest and real about the struggles one faces with infertility! As a mama of two IVF babies, lots of failed cycles who felt alone during my own journey, I love that you’re smashing the silence surrounding fertility!

    BFN is amazing!!
I have had 3 miscarriages, 1 live birth and am currently pregnant. My issue isn’t getting pregnant it’s keeping the pregnancy and this podcast calms me. I am always terrified that the next trip to the bathroom will be devastating. You ladies keep me informed and calm. Thank you so much.

    Smart, relatable, informative and genuine!
BFN is an infertility related podcast hosted by two sharp and funny British journalists Emma and Gabby. It’s all things infertility and IVF told in a funny, relatable, informative and intelligent way. It’s an incredibly enjoyable listen - my go to for lonely car rides. Seasons 1 and 2 take us on a personal journey along with Emma and Gabby as they personally navigate the challenges of IVF, IVF pregnancy, meet with experts and other bright minds in the infertility community. To be frank, they do an incredible job and they are so likable that you don’t have to be infertile to enjoy their show and sympathize with their trials and tribulations - if you’re a mom, mom to be, or thinking of becoming one - you will relate to and love these ladies. And I must say they are equally enjoyable on both sides of the Atlantic - I thoroughly love their show being in the US. Thank you ladies and keep at it!!!

The best infertility/TTC podcast out there
American listener here, I’m so glad the girls are back with a new season, especially in the wake of this covid-19 scare (currently dealing with crippling anxiety in fear my FET will be postponed!) They got me through the beginning of my IVF “journey”. During their hiatus I tried listening to other infertility podcasts but none were as relatable and comforting as BFN. I truly feel like whenever I tune into a new episode I’m chatting with close, long-time friends. Thank you for all that you do, ladies!

Ladies I love your show and especially appreciate this week’s episode on having to cancel cycles due to corona. So timely, comforting, and validating. Thank you.

    Love This Show!
I love this show! The hosts take a devastating situation (infertility) and find a way to make it more light hearted and even funny. It’s such a breath of fresh air and helps me forget all of the heartache that goes along with struggling to make a little person. Thank you guys!!

Thank you ladies so much 💕 I’ve only been listening for about 2 weeks now and you’ve already brought joy to my life! It makes me feel less alone listening to people who just get it. Your perfect mix of positivity and realness is perfect and doesn’t feel fake (like others I’ve listened to) - and has been keeping my spirits up. LOVE love love this podcast.

The topics are relevant to my experiences as I have had two ectopic pregnancies and I’m starting with consultations at a fertility clinic! Thank you Emma, Gabby, and Professor Tim Child for all your stories, wisdom, laughs and so much more! P.S. The very best (come back!)
Thank you so much to Emma and Gabby for giving me comfort, laughter, and great information through my “journey” of BFNs. I really appreciate the interviews with many different people and different aspects of the infertility community. I have leaned so much and loved every single minute! Their banter is hilarious, and helps to make me feel a little less alone in my anxiety about this process. I’m so looking forward to their return!! Thank you so much for all you have done for the community!

    Many Laughs!
Thank you thank you for debunking the woo woo myths that plague the internet, and consequently my life. Really helps me feel less crazy in that two week wait when I’m racking my brain if I did everything right. Real talk on TTC, so funny and relatable. Love you gals!

    Come back!
I have obsessed over these podcasts and binge listened to them. Like stopped watching Netflix just so I could listen to these instead kind of bingeing. I’m all done now and I just got a Big F-ing Negative last night. Btw, I’m a US listener and I know there is a US podcast that’s similar but I just need my accents and swearing back in my life.
  • LizV84
    So so helpful
I’ve been binge-listening to this podcast starting with episode 1, and I just love it. It makes me laugh (sometimes very hard), and it helps me feel less alone in this crazy process - and it makes me feel less crazy for being crazy :-) Thank you so much!!
