Crankle HumpmeatsNot for meWhy is metal always discussed with so much hand wringing? Defeats the purpose.

Andy....?My whole life has changedWhen I started listening to this podcast I was very straight laced, a real Scott Summers in a world of Logans if you will. But then I listened to just one episode of this podcast. I woke up with a portrait tattoo of Beelzebub covering my back. I got excommunicated from the Catholic Church. I left my wife and dove into a homosexual glitter fueled partying lifestyle. I punched my boss and my landlord both in the face and joined an anarchist biker gang that also distributes food to the needy. After all nothing is more punk rock than looking out for those less fortunate than you. My ex wife now listens to this podcast and helped stitch all the cuts for my gang and I. This podcast gave me everything.

steamy-bunzHighly Recommended! As someone who knew absolutely nothing about metal and prog-rock before becoming a listener, I absolutely love this podcast. I’ve been introduced to so much amazing music, and I’m thoroughly looking forward to hearing what else Satan and Rainbows has planned.

Sam_eat6stringGGHow in the hell did I not know about this band? Thanks. I’m now obsessed and looking for a local 12 step program to help me. It’s your fault, Satan and Rainbows. Sam

KyJaBarGiving Metal the credit it deservesHeard a promo for this podcast on the Max Fun network and have been hooked on this show ever since. These guys are total music nerds but it’s about good music and they’re good nerds. I’ve had a blast learning more about Judas Priest and the details of their career as one of the top three metal bands of all time (first episode of this show correctly breaks that down). Nate and Jeff provide great analysis of Judas Priest’s complete studio discography. Each episode focuses on a single album, going song by song to tease out details and info that give me much more respect for Priest. This podcast keeps vacuous commentary to a minimum and they play samples of the music so you get to judge the goods for yourself. I did my senior project in college about Iron Maiden’s global influence on Metal and I hope to see these guys take on Maiden in a future season. But there’s no denying Priest’s claim on Metal as well. Check this show out. You’ll be glad you did. \m/ Seriously \m/

pleebWhat if NPR had a Metal Show?(This is based on only having listened to first 10 episodes… mid-Season 1 - Judas Priest). I tested this show out after hearing on the guys on “Rock Solid” podcast. I have a new subscription! It sounds like NPR doing a Metal show! I mean that as a compliment. I love both. Two intelligent people talking intelligently about Metal music, playing clips, and there is nothing wrong with that. Yes, at times I think they could edit themselves. Their thoughts and lyrical analysis drags on a bit sometimes (one of the co-hosts (Jeff?) reminds me of Woody Allen in his speech pattern, his brain\thoughts going faster than his tongue\mouth can keep up.. back-tracking and switching topics sometimes mid-sentence). But overall I really enjoy the show. It’s fun and you can feel the co-hosts passion It’s kinda similar to “Dandy Classic Music Hour” or “The Great Albums” podcast, but I think they are closer to my age range (late late 30’s, 40’s) and appreciate their focus on Metal and Prog Rock. Looking forward to hearing more...

Wacky Jack 4ImpressiveGreat new podcast promising to cover selected metal and prog rock bands’ album catalogs in depth. So far they’re tackling Judas Priest, and they’re knocking it out of the park. If you’re a Priest fan you must give this podcast a listen. Keep up the stellar work. Can’t wait to see what bands they take on in future episodes.

UnderjawAwesome Priest infoI am loving this podcast after just listening to the first two episodes. The guys are really fun to listen to and they really know their JP. As much as I know about Priest, I’m learning little nuggets every time out. Highly recommended!

Stately Homo of Heavy MetalBest Judas Priest Podcast Ever!!!!!!This podcast is only two episodes in and I already love it. If you want to hear two nerds go balls to the wall with heavy metal history, this show will have you hell bent for leather at breakneck speed and with high octane. A heavy metal podcast savior has come from the skies and put me on my knees. I'm telling all the haters that if you think there's a better Priest Pod out there, you've got another thing comin'. P.S.: Nate Treese is the sexiest thing in podcasting and he can be my turbo lover anytime.

Jonc210A great synthesis of music history and fandomNate and Jeff do an amazing job walking the hard line between in-depth geeking out over music history and accessibility for the uninitiated (like myself). Their passion for metal and prog rock really comes through and makes me want to like these genres that I will confess that I had previously written off. I especially love the way they intersperse clips of the songs they're talking about. It really helps me connect with both the music, and the history that Nate and Jeff are discussing. I can't wait to hear more!

I found myself surfing Spotify and liking what I heard! Now you can be the REAL hip music kid blazing down the the overgrown paths of the metal music time has made humanity forget. Rekindle the sound waves with your glory Nate and Jeff!
