I’ve followed this show for years and used to enjoy it but it’s hard to relate to now in many ways… would appreciate more class conscious material (something outside the fairly wealthy Hollywood elite community) and also missing Arab comedians/ perspectives, backgrounds…

Longtime friend in my head and a continued pleasure to hear. Nicole has a natural ability to meet people where they are and match energies without compromising her principles. And make no mistake, despite her self deprecation, she is a woman with deep convictions. But she knows better than to confront you with them directly. Instead, she’ll sneak them into a spoonful of peanut butter like a dog’s medicine. Eat up, dummies.

Long time listener and fan. I could not stop laughing during the “Sonic is here!” podcast. You’re both delightful, positive people and the energy you have together is contagious.

I found this podcast through one of my favorite radio hosts, Sam Sanders, and I haven’t laughed this hard in a while at their chat. This is the longform interview podcast that I didn’t know I needed, and it’s a much appreciated break from the intensity and seriousness of the past few years.

Nicole is such a delight and her show brings me lots of laughs.

I love Nicole and I love this podcast but have to criticize the recent episode with Sarah Silverman as a guest. There is a full-on 21st century holocaust happening in Gaza that our government has funded heavily since October of 2023 and Sarah Silverman is cool with it. So if you’re a person of conscience and morals, you’re not cool with Sarah. That being said, I don’t know who picks the guests or what Nicole would have to say about this, but it’s incredibly disparaging that one of my favorite pods allowed Sarah this platform.

Having a proud g-cide supporter on the show was a terrible choice. I generally love Nicole and this show. I’ve paid to see her live; she’s a real treat of a human and performer, and I’m really scratching my head at this one.

First of all Nicole Byer makes anything entertaining, honest and it’s hard not to love her. Seriously I want to just hangout, laugh and you know vibe with her. Always an easy back and forth with the guests and you never know what’s gonna be said. Nicole, why won’t you date ME?

Nicole Byer is SO GREAT AT PODCASTING (among other things)! She always makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood. I listen to all of her podcasts and can’t get enough! Also she is so funny on Nailed It on Netflix, check it out if you haven’t already! So happy that Why Won’t You Date Me is back on headgum and now available on YouTube!

I really can’t get enough Nicole Byer. She’s fun, has fun being funny, & is willing to laugh at herself & everyone else. Every moment with Nicole on Nailed It on Netflix, her specials or this Podcast (which we can now watch on YouTube!) is ab fab self-care. Love ya Nicole!

Nicole is so funny, weird (in a good way) and interesting to listen to! But maybe it’s time to put this to bed. Keep podcasting, but also consider the ending the “I have no idea why I’m single!” narrative. At this point it’s your toxic friend who has been given loads of therapy, advice from loved ones, and grace, yet refuses to acknowledge any of it. Stop asking and just accept you don’t want to be in a relationship, or you don’t have the tools to attract something healthy, ya know? Idk, I really think Nicole could get an amazing man (or woman), but it sounds like she has and chooses to sabotage instead. It’s a bit tired at this point.

This podcast is everything a dating podcast should want to be! I love how it’s honest, heartfelt, and sometimes just an ad to a comedian/celebrity boo’d up—werk your magic Nicole!

Absolutely love this show. How Nicole is able to have this much chemistry with every guest should be studied by science because I could use some of it. Long time listener but the latest episode with Akeem Woods had me running over to publicly sing the pods praises.

I wish we could rate other’s reviews. Why in the world would anyone come to this podcast of this title and think they would or want to hear about genocides? They must be a Newcomer (add’l plug) bc Nicole made a concerted effort in most of 2020 to only feature POC. ANYWAY, this is where I and many others come to escape the news and just have an hour of levity in this hellish world. Keep doing you, Nicole and team! You da best!!

I love Nicole and think she’s sooo talented but her booker needs to step up their game. The recent guests have been awful… and even fast forwarding or skipping only gets u so far. 1 huge tip- VERY few tiktokers are entertaining guests. They’re usually popular on tik tok because of their recorded/written skits NOT live. Nicole deserves better than z-list.

I love Nicole, she is one of my favorite comedians and I watch/listen to anything she’s in religiously. BUT ever since the podcast joined Team Coco, I feel like the quality of the guests has really taken a nose dive. She’s recently been talking to some real boring people and it’s a snooze-pocalypse. Now and then Nicole comes alive when she gets to talk to interesting people (a lot of the time these are queer, PoC and non boring str8s guests), but that seems to be few and far between now. I’ll continue listening, but if the quality of the guests doesn’t improve, I might skip more and more episodes. Love you Nicole, but your producers need to put in as much works as you put in!

Amazing show!! Funny plus every once in a while a new piece of Nicole’s dating/life lore drops and it leaves you shooketh

I’m a huge fan of Nicole and all her work but lately this podcast has been frustrating to listen to. The interviews aren’t as interesting because so much time is spent only on Nicole’s interpersonal life. I wish there were more focus on love and dating in general and less about how Nicole wants a relationship. I don’t mind that it’s in the podcast but I’ve had to give up on episodes lately because I feel like the same topics are rehashed over and over again.

What’s up with Lunamoonbeam12’s review? Are they seriously giving the podcast one star because Nicole isn’t using her platform to talk about political and social justice issues? Seriously?? I mean, do they realize this podcast is called “Why Won’t You Date Me” and what the subject matter is? It’s a freaking comedy podcast. Just because Nicole is a POC (I am, as well), doesn’t mean she needs to be discussing these things and getting a one star review because of it. That reviewer needs a major reality check, because this isn’t the platform or podcast for that. The entitlement of people…

Have listened to Nicole for years. As POC, I really wish you’d use your voice and platform for the other POC around the world who need their voices lifted and heard. Congo, Palestine, Sudan. The many other genocides. Please Nicole.

It’s so weird to say that I’ve “grown up” with any podcast, but “Why Won’t You Date Me” has been on my list since 2018. I’ve been an avid listener and grateful for Nicole’s hosting skills, wit, and humorous approach towards life. The WWYDM team has my whole heart! It’s also been cool to continue (parasocially) rooting for Nicole, so power to the WWYDM team!

Dear Nicole - Been a fan for many years. You’re funny, talented, hard working and kind. But I think at this point if you ever wanna find love, you should end this podcast. It makes you think too much into every single interaction, relationship, etc. Plus, it makes you vulnerable in a way that exposes you in ways that should be saved for that special person you will one day meet. At times, I’m uncomfortable for you listening to another failed attempt or experience. You’re NOT desperate!! You’re far better off than most people in all the typical successful ways. But it seems after so long of not finding love, you’re becoming someone you don’t want to be; bitter, older and disillusioned with love. You’re better than this. You’ve given your fans so much of yourself. It’s about time you save some intimate moments and feelings just for you and whoever it is you can and will meet eventually. Most of us will never dare to be so vulnerable to strangers so who am I to make this type of assessment. But again, I think continuing this podcast isn’t helping if you ever truly want to find a real partner. You’ve given us enough. Now it’s time for you. Take care.
