Calmness457ReviewI'm really looking for speaker meetings with more women speakers . This may be directed more toward Podcasts in general as in inability to filter - but even when I went to the sober cast website - you could filter topics except I couldn't find a lot of women speakers - Overall- anyone's experience strength and hope is helpful!

CoffeeYesssssPleaseSpiritual nourishmentAlthough there's no substitute for the community we as AA members share in our home groups, this podcast is another way to feed our souls, and the nourishment is incomparable!
-
Reviewer_LAGreat podcastReally helpful. It’s open and honest sharing the miracles and blessings of the program.
-
GoodDudeNYSpiritual AlchemyI’m not sure what to think about this. This seemed to be an hour of free association, top-of-the-head something. There didn’t seem to be any structure and frankly not really any cogent point. I’ll try again with some other person, but this was not very valuable.

cc28Great podcast! Thanks for putting this together! Lots of great episodes. I want to commend the labeling efforts. Sometimes I’m looking for a story but most of the time I’m looking for workshops. I appreciate that it’s easy to locate based on the title. I also appreciate the effort at marking things like “funny” or “humor” - I’m not particularly into that style but I know a lot of people are so it helps to know what I’m getting. I also appreciate categorizing the date of the talk so I know whether it will be Zoom. Thanks again!

Fluffy xhcbxbxjfjdffhdhdhdjfThank you for being here xoOne day at a time and you get me through the day. Just listened to Patty O. And Madison B. And I can’t wait to get through your whole catalog. THANK YOU! April S., alcoholic

#SUPERfan#1MehI don’t know why a lot of people who got sober at a young age are so militant in their interpretation of the literature. A lot of them sound the same and appear to be tied up in the dogma of “the black print”. I don’t know but it sounds like these people tie into this because it gives them a sense of control. Personally I need to remember that the book was written by a single man with little input from the first 70 and slightly more help from a man who died drunk. Anyways, I love the basic text and this may help a lot of people. I tuned in for a moment. See y’all out there on the road.

Paul S. from BaltimoreThere when you need a meetingDefinitely worth a listen. There's something for everyone in recovery in this podcast. It's always there if I need a meeting or could use some ESH or Good Orderly Direction on my commute.

NycshaneLove this podcastI listen to this podcast and it just makes my day!! Thank you to those for sharing with us and letting us grow and helping us each day! I am so grateful for this outlet especially on days when I can’t get to a meeting or just need to feel close to others! It’s a wonderful podcast and I encourage you to support it and also support by donation! It is ad free!!
-
Sparty_PartyGood but sometimes lacking directionThe meeting are great. My only feedback is that a lot of the meetings are focused on so much humor that it takes a while for the speaker to get to the point. It’s more like a comedy show. A little humor is okay but often there’s so much it drags out and you can lose interest easily. I wish that would be screened for better.
-
Teresa I.Sober CastIt’s great if your male! Maybe, 1 female speaker per 20 male speakers. Typical.
-

Bri 5/21/17Such a great tool to use for my recoveryThis podcast has helped me through a lot of hard times when making a real AA speaker meeting wasn’t possible. SUCH a fantastic resource for anyone trying to not drink or use one day at a time.

AimeeLynn928SponsorsI love this podcast. I love recovery. I love AA. But this latest episode bothered me. Sponsors need to explain to sponsees that there are some things you do not share from the podium. These young people are welcome to AA but they are different in many ways from us older people, they are not as filtered. The episode titled Jeffery and Kelly is specifically what I am talking about. The older AAs do not want to hear about a girl getting “finger blasted”. That info might belong in a different program but not in AA. There are appropriate ways to talk about such things using appropriate language. Whoever this girls sponsor is I hope you can help her!!! And young lady, if you do not have a sponsor, find one! One who is over 40!
-
tweetluvthe best!love the speaker potluck episodes especially!
-
bubbahugginsRecommend to any AALove the podcast. Listen all the time. I work a lot of long hours and sometimes miss live meetings. This podcast is a life saver!!
-
agl272525Saves me every timeSo grateful for this podcast. What a service to us. And I really appreciate how the sound is filtered, even when quality isn’t always great. If you are new or old, this is a great resource.
-
AD1979!Astrid H speaker reviewGood afternoon, I just listened to this podcast for the first time today. I heard Astrid H speak. I really appreciated the various topics that she covered. I listened today first as a person and second as a therapist. I found tools in many ways for both roles. As a therapist, I do tend to see things through the lens of recovery principles. Much of what she said rang true.
-
dnbnalfhdjSaved my mindThis show was my lifeline when I spent days laying in bed, still hungover from the last bender, emotionally exhausted, and feeling like death. Sobercast kept me going when nothing else seemed to reach me, and it also inspired me to finally take that next step and I got a sponsor. I can honestly say I might not be sober today if not for this podcast. Thank you all who take the time to put this up every day, and God bless!
-
Toronto JamesThank youThis app is my “go to” when my eyes are too tired to read and a meeting is not an option. Thank you!
